  I mean you made a backup of your files (what?), and now you want to convert to MP3?

  Usually if you want to convert audio files to mp3 then you will need to use a special tool.
  In internet, you will find a large number of different tools that are able to convert audio files in different formats

  Easy transfer copy some things but not all things. He does more that can make a simple copy/paste (such as the settings for example) but, for example, not programs transfer (those who need to be put back in place).  Here is a description of what it does (and does not): http://support.microsoft.com/kb/928635.  It will transfer Outlook 2007 PDF files and other personal data if they are selected - you need to know which files you need and where to select them - but it won't transfer the program (which must be put back in place).  It must be run before you reformat the hard disk to collect data and then you can transfer everything what you have registered once the system is re-installled.  You would do the re-setup prior to the transfer.

  I recently bought an external hard drive 3 TB WD Elements USB for Time Machine backups. Once I connected the drive for the first time, Time Machine asked if I would use it for backups. I chose the encrypted disk, the password and leave the reader to be prepared. This process lasted long enough (≍10 minutes), but in the end, Time Machine has complained that it is impossible to mount the newly prepared disk (see screenshot). However, if I manually create a HFS partition + encrypted in DiskUtility and then used this partition in Time Machine, everything works without a problem.

  

  I tried this in two different countries (the two El Capitan) Mac and the same thing happened.

  This is because you need to format the drive as a drive HFS + everything first. Time Machine formats not readers.

  Do yourself a favor and remove the application.  Mac do not need AV applications and at best, they will be not hard (but not good either) and at worst will corrupt your system / OSX's built in protection.  Your concerns are malicious software that requires the cooperation of the user to install, not the virus.
