Can I load a movieclip into swf even in different layers?

Is it possible to put or to load a movieclip in another layer within a swf file?

I have a swf file loaded into level 5. But in this same swf, I wish I could load 4 movieclips in the library in level 6. Can I do this? If so, how?

_level is not the same as layer in flash. layers only exist in the authoring environment and are converted into depths (which are not the same as _levels) when your publish your swf file.

MovieClips from a library can be attached to various depths, but they will remain in the same _level as their swf.

external SWF can be loaded into various _levels.

    I have been struggling with this problem for WEEKS now and can not solve. I have a soft flash AIR (creative cloud, AIR 3.8) that is very simple: there is no that load external SWF movies on the click of a start button.     Yes, this is important when you load SWF actionscript files to contain and you need only actionscript work and are something I alluded to message 9.

    It is not relevant to your problem, unless you have poorly explained the problem.  from your description, you do not see the loaded SWF files to load.  If the SWF load really smoothly, but they contain actionscript code that does not work, you must fix your problem description.

    Edit: the above is not correct.  you do need to declare a loadercontext when loading an external swf with the latest (3.6 +) SDK of air even if the external swf contain no actionscript.  Otherwise, the load() method (and any code appearing later) fails to run

    Your intentions seem to be off target if you want to stop the maturities of the two elements call you newMC and originalMC.   These two objects will not be the objects that are loaded.  To stop the timelines of the new.swf and the original.swf files you load, you would use something like...

    You're talking about probably the Windows error code numbers.

    %1 is not a valid Win32 application.

    ERROR_MOD_NOT_FOUND

    126 (0x7E)

    The specified module could not be found.

    It seems so that your plugin is to compile for architecture 32-bit or loads / requires a 3rd party DLL that is only available in 32 bit on the target system.

    As MS error codes usually aren't that specific, it could also be that you're actually on 64-bit, but any other dependency is not met. Please check with the tool Dependency Walker MS if all required files are present for the right CPU architecture.

    Also, make sure you deploy commercial versions on machines to test/non-dev (meaning does not bind to the debug version of the Microsoft runtime libraries, that they are not available on systems where Visual Studio is not installed).

    Hi pa1majeti,

    You cannot simply consider that some code is loaded into memory or not: all code in a compiled application is permanently in memory unless you divide your application into DLLs that you dynamically load if necessary and remove if is no longer necessary.

    But as I understand from your description, you're better given the amount of memory occupied by the data (i.e. the contents of the variables) rather than the code. If this is the case, your only option is to allocate memory for variables dynamically and free it after it has been used. Now, even if this option is useful if you are using large networks of data, there is little or no effect on the unique variables.

    A final Council, given the huge memory installed on modern computers, are you sure you really need that extra work? I mean, the dynamic allocation of memory involves some additional precautions in programming: check the errors on each function malloc or calloc, check that the pointer is valid before each use, freeing pointers before reassignment in order to avoid memory leaks and so forth, so a balance must always be sought between the memory and the difficulty in programming.

    Because it's a new account (even if with the same name), the restore procedure is unable to put files and folders in the same place, they came (because this place technically no longer - if yes, then the process is done and the transfer is complete). It can create a set of separate files (maybe even under a new user name, if it has been stored in this way).  If so, all you need to do is copy the data as you would copy any other files and folders (not the main files of the user profile themselves but the data in them) on the new files in your user account and who will take care of the transfer. Here is more information about the restore procedure which may help you in the process.

    Here is an article on the restore procedure:http://www.vista4beginners.com/How-to-restore-files to make sure you do this right.  It's a selective restore of a full or selective backup (not a full restore from a full backup) - but since you did a full backup, it matches your process more closely than would a full restore.

    The statement you quoted all Adobe documentation is correct.

    If you want to load the data into the tables before anything else happens, then have everything that happens to run via the function completeHandler... when the data is loaded and processed in the tables.

    the command: loadFile() runs before the trace ("2:" + images [4]); command.  The loadFile function is processed and loading process BEGINS... but begins loading does not delay the main treatment to continue down the line - the loading itself becomes a secondary/background task.  The order was to run the function loadFile and the processing of this function has been completed.  If you don't believe, then add a trace...

    The addEventlistener method does not stop anything.  The addEventListener method code is assigned a monitor, not a traffic controller... it's say the monitor to indicate when the loading data are complete.  It does not do anything to stop the execution of the program.

    So if you want to wait until the data is loaded before anything else... it goes...
