Hello

I have a database and it's in SQL express 2005 but because my windows 8 is not compatible with the installer, I have to install the latest installer from 2012. now, my problem is that I can't open it in the 2012 edition... What should I do?

  • A SQL server management studio 2012 error: PERCENTILE_DISC function is not allowed in the current compatibility mode. It can only in mode 110 or higher.

Our company just upgraded to SQL Server Management Studio 2012 and it has been very useful because I needed to use the percentile for the code I wrote. As a first step, the function did not work because I set the compatibility mode 110 level. After that I did, the function worked. However, now it does not work yet, and I get the same error:

The PERCENTILE_DISC function is not allowed in the current compatibility mode. It can only in mode 110 or higher.

I went to the properties of database section, then options and noticed that the compatibility mode has not changed, it is set to "SQL Server 2012 (110). I even used the following code to see if that would help at all even if the compatibility mode is already on this mode:

    ALTER DATABASE Analytics
    SET COMPATIBILITY_LEVEL = 110

Someone already had this problem or knows if I need to change something in the properties of database for this function work? Is this just a bug in the new version?

  • How can I connect to SQL Server with the Muse?

I want to query items from database and load it to the front end. Is there a way that muse can connect to the sql server database?

It is not yet possible for Muse. Muse only creates .html pages. Connection to a database would require some php or other scripting to bind the data. It is beyond the scope of Muse and I don't see what is happening for a while.

  • In SQL Server 2000/2005/2008 UltraLiteJ synchronization

    Hi all

Does anyone know how to synchronize to SQL Server 2000/2005/2008 UltraLiteJ?

I tried this, but there is an error showed.

Detected a version unknown or damaged configuration of the MobiLink system under owner 'dbo '.

I had created a DSN. But when I created the synchronization model, it failed, I could shoot.

When I run the MS-DOS command prompt Mobilink server, an error has occurred again,

[- 10002] "Consolidated database server or ODBC error: ODBC: [Microsoft] [ODBC SQL Server driver] [SQL Server] Login failed for user (null)".
Reason: Not associated with a SQL Server login that is approved. (State = 28000 ODBC, Native error code is 18452)

Could someone help me with the setting and the code maybe?

    Hi Hari,

You can ignore the warning 'version' unknown or damaged The synchronization model compares its own set of system tables against what you have in SQL Server and responds with this warning if it detects a difference. The comparison is strict, and it may signal a difference for reasons such as unusual places or different ODBC drivers. The message should have been accompanied by a detailed description, which would explain what he saw different.

Looks like your MobiLink server starts correctly and connects to the database. If it does not start successfully, you should see a message "Server MobiLink has begun" in the server window, and you should not see any entries in the window of the server starting with 'E'.

So if you have deployed your synchronization model, and the server is started, the next question is why your synchronization failed. It would be useful to retrieve the codes of error on the device, software versions and the MobiLink log entries using a comprehensive framework as - v + on the MobiLink command line. I would suggest that we are pursuing in the Sybase for MobiLink newsgroup, where you will find a number of people who are more expert that I am to all aspects of MobiLink.

You can access newsgroups via the web or by using a News Reader. The starting point for the two is http://www.sybase.com/support/community-forums and the newsgroup you need is sybase.public.sqlanywhere.mobilink (http://www.sybase.com/detail?id=1009240 ).

I think this would be your best way to go for that matter.

  • OBIEE 10 G can connect to a SQL Server database (2005)?

We have Oracle BI already running. We also have a SQL Server database running. Now, there is requirement that requires to connect to SQL Server and directly send some books SQL on SQL Server and retrieve the result and display it in the answers. I know that the normal procedure should be set ETL to load data from the SQL Server in OBIEE and from there, the report can be built. So I'm not sure it's doable?

Do the same thing using the online mode. so that you can add a connection pool to the RPD, which is located within the BI server.

  • How to establish links of Labview with SQL server database Toolkit

I'm a database newbie, but I have to use MS SQL server (2008) to store my data. I am well equipped with all the features of Labview, don't know how to use it properly. I now complete development, including the toolbox database. My latest version of labview is 8.6.1. Side material, I have cFP2220 and many modules of differnet kind.

Here is a useful link that I found on the web:

    1. I got the database creation procedure (pdf file) to link the udl.

    http://decibel.NI.com/content/docs/doc-4602

It gives a step-by-step login procedure to MS Access, and I'm able to save data to MS Access with the database Toolbox. However, I could not understand how to establish a chain of connection or udl to SQL server. In other words, I hope someone can explain in detail what is the procedure to set up such a link.

    2. I learned about the forum that there is a LabSQL, but it takes some knowledge of SQL statement. I would walk away from him, as I am not familiar with SQL.

    3. the VI I used for the recording of data in DB are very similar to "Create database Table.vi" found in the sample.

In short, I think that I just need someone who has experience with the connection to the server SQL with Labview to show me the steps to link to SQL.

    Thank you very much

You may not create a database in SQL Server using the control panel ODBC or a UDL. You must create a database by using SQL Server tools. (In fact, you can use SQL statements to create a database, which is what's really going on by using SQL Server tools. However, I don't know if the database Toolbox has the screws required to send these types of SQL statements.). Once you have created the database you can create tables using SQL Server tools, or you can use the screw of toolbox database.

You try to run SQL Server on your computer? SQL Server is usually running on a server. You try to use SQL Server Express?

Assuming that you have SQL Server running and a database has been created, then here are the steps needed to create a UDL to connect:

    1. In Windows Explorer, create a text file and rename the text file so that there a .udl extension (like this PDF).
    2. Double-click the UDL file.
    3. Change to the tab 'supplier '.
    4. Select 'Microsoft OLE DB for SQL Server provider'.
    5. Click on the ' next > ' button. It changes you to the tab 'connection '.
    6. In the drop-down menu, select your SQL Server. If it is not listed, try clicking on the Refresh"" button. If this does not meet the list, then you will need to enter manually.
    7. In the section "#2" specify the authentication method and credentials, if necessary, to connect to SQL Server.
    8. In the section "#3" specify the database that will be used, which is the one that you created earlier using the SQL Server tools. NOT SELECT THE MASTER DATABASE. If you do, you will completely screw up your installation of SQL Server.
    9. Click "Test connection" to verify that you can connect to SQL Server.
  • See cant SQL Server tab on the New/Select database connection

    Hi all

I can't see the SQL Server tab in the new database connection window. I added the jdbc SQL Server driver using the tools-> Preferences-> Third Party JDBC Driver, but all I can see are the Oracle and the tabs to Access.

    I use the version 1.5.4.

    Pointers is very appreciated.

    Kind regards
    Anish.

Note that the jdbc (for Sybase and SQL Server) driver is http://jtds.sourceforge.net/ jtds1.2 or jtds1.2.2
