  This camera required Camera raw 9.2 or higher (see supported by Adobe Camera Raw devices )

  You need to convert raw files to DNG, then you could treat in Bridge/Photoshop.Refer using Photoshop | Digital negative converter Adobe 9.x

  Images II 7 d would be directly supported in Photoshop CS5 as requiring a new camera raw.

  So, you must download the free DNG Converter to convert these images to DNG and then open the DNG converted in Photoshop.

Following suggestions from the internet, I downloaded the trial version of 11 items more ACR 7.4 dng converter unfortunately I'm still not able to transfer files from my Camera Raw/NEF, his accepts although the jpeg. Also I can open ACR with the 7.1 version, but I don't know how to use the converter 7.4 with her. Can anyone tell I'm getting very frustrated! Can I use Silver Efex Pro 2 with the trial version?   The D750 is much too recent for Lightroom 3, so there is no way to directly import the NEF files.

  You have 2 choices:

  1. Purchase Lightroom 6/Lightroom CC
  2. convert the NEF files to DNG using the FREE Adobe DNG Converter (8.7 or later), then import the DNG in Lightroom 3

  Hi, ATR, just for you say, my firewall etc is managed by software Norton anti-virus, the reason why I could not update was the firewall, entered the firewall of windows 8 and found a facility to allow applications through firewall he, Adobe was not one of them, so I just added 13 elements Adobe and hey presto it allowed me to do all the necessary updates , I now camera raw 8.7 update on 13 items.

  Make sure it is Nikon Transfer provided with your camera. Older versions may corrupt the NEF files.

  Photoshop requires at least version 8.4 of camera raw to be able to directly open these Nikon NEF D4S files which is available in Photoshop CS6 and above versions (not in CS5)

  You can upgrade to a higher version of Photoshop or download Adobe DNG converter to convert raw files to DNG and access these DNG files in Photoshop CS5.

  Not only PSE13 an update can use the ACR 8.7 necessary plugin. (Version 8.7.1 is expected soon, but not necessary).

  Your option is to use the free DNGconverter (if in Win, you must at least Win7).

  Devices supported by Adobe Camera Raw

  First of all, the D90 was supported in Camera Raw 5.1.

  Open Photoshop and click on Photoshop (Mac) or help (Win) > Plug-ins > Camera Raw to see what version you use.

  Photoshop CS4 comes with Camera Raw 5.0.

  Try to update Camera Raw in Photoshop to 5.7 via help > updates.

  If this does not work, try to manually edit Camera Raw

  Hello! you simply go to the Help menu, and then click "update", as in the following screenshot:

  

  It will update Photoshop 13.0.1 (or 13.0.1.1 on a PC) and Camera Raw to 7.2, which can open the D800 files and much more.

  In fact, you could have an Adobe logo on the Mac Os menu bar, or in system window tray alerting you that updates is available...
