Can I put a password on a subfolder by e-mail?

I want to assure you that some emails files cannot be opened without a password

I think the answer is 'no '. But can you explain in more detail what you want to do and why? There may be other ways to achieve what it is you want to do.

But in general, Thunderbird assumes that if you want privacy or security, you would use individual connections and user accounts. It does not provide as far as I KNOW no way to hide selected folders. And it is not an encryption built-in, without which there is little interest, from a point of view of security, hide folders from view.
