  Just uninstall and reinstall Firefox should not affect your bookmarks, unless the option "Remove data from Firefox and customizations." has been used. If so, all your Firefox personal data has been deleted and you will need to use a program like Recuva file recovery utility to recover your bookmarks.

  The Solution: Tools - Internet Options - tab program... and there was the option of default Web browser. He said that IE is NOT the default browser. I changed it and IT WORKED.

  Do NOT remove the data personal when you uninstall your current version of Firefox, because all profile files will be deleted and you lose personal data such as bookmarks and passwords from other versions of Firefox profiles.

  Usually, uninstalling and reinstalling is useful if the program files are damaged. When the question if an add-on or setting, so you don't expect to see a change. (I assume that you delete all your personal data, because that could blow your bookmarks.)
