  But let's dig down to the serious things of this.

  If the browser needs a statement of character. Probably ' UTF-8 ', but another or an older one would be as well, as long as it's cheap, and it respects the method of characterization of the Web page.

  This statement can be provided by (1) the web server itself (its default value), (2) the htaccess file in your web root directory server, or (3) on each web page. Where there are several and contradictory statements perhaps, the older in the command above rules.   Make sure that Firefox is installed correctly.

  Last week, I published my Captivate project and downloaded on an intranet site to test.  Everything was fine, I clicked on Project.htm and my e-Learning courses took place as I expected to run. I sent the final files published on the live site, and it worked as well.

  This week I download all of the files will not work.  I get a blank screen and an indicator of error at the bottom of my browser.

  Files already loaded in the site of the last work work. They are only working files.  Identical files, republished, new projects, for a completely different intranet site - nothing but a blank screen. Other users who load the files, or even copy the right files to another location to get the same error.

  SWF files work. Move files on my local drive, on a shared drive.

  My project is dead in the water.

  From what you described, it would seem that all of the necessary files have not been uploaded. Either that, or for some other reason they will not be found. It is possible that maybe the server has changed from Windows to UNIX and now there is a problem with file name. (UNIX is case-sensitive, so the other will not work if you call myfile.htm. Under Windows, the two names would work without problems)

Finally, the system charged up to the Welcome screen with my username (which is the ONLY user name and no password). When I clicked on the icon for my use, the office briefly appeared, then returns to the Welcome screen with my name of user/icon. The only other available command turns off the system.

  Since I have no way to load the missing/s file to the computer (or I'm not aware of the procedure), can someone please help me with this problem.

  Hello and welcome on Microsoft Answers. First of all, I think that your computer may be infected with malware. Rundll32 is a windows core system file required to run applications, but is not necessary for windows startup and so shouldn't stop your desktop computer to load.  I recommend that you restart your computer in safe mode with network. When you are prompted to choose an account to connect to choose your personal account. Download, update and perform a quick scan with Malwarebytes. Display the results of the analysis, and we'll go from there.

  No way to convert a file backwards, but if you have access to a Computer that is not locked by your IT you could install a free 30 day trial of Muse to run 2014.2.
