Can I switch to 16 GB of RAM? and what RAM should I expect?

I have a Lenovo IdeaPad Z400 cell phone has 2 RAM slots and I have 4 GB of RAM in each of them (ELPIDA J2108BDBG / product ID RMT3160ED58E9W1600) for a total of 8 GB. I wanted to upgrade to 16 GB. Take the laptop by inserting the 8 pieces of GB of RAM in each slot? Is there something specific, that I need to pay attention to? • Can I switch to 8 GB of RAM on Satellite T130-11U?

    Hello world!

    I wonder if I can improve my T130-11U white with 2 x 4 GB?
Is there a way to make this possible?

    Thank you in advance.

PS: Sorry for my English, I'm french ^^

    Hello

It depends on the chipset you have.
The 8 GB of RAM are possible with the laptop that are released with the Intel GS45 chipset.
The 4 GB of RAM are possible with Intel GS40 chipset.

AFAIK the T130-11U supports GS40 chipset and so 8 GB of RAM are NOT possible in your case.

  • Can I switch to 4 GB of ram if I have Vista 32 bit?

I have a Gateway FX - 541S with 3072 MB 800 MHz DDR2 SDRAM and a processor Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 (2.40 GHz, 1066 MHz FSB, 8 MG cache) and I want to improve my memory up to 8 GB.  I am running VISTA Home Premium 32 - bit OS.  I have to upgrade to VISTA 64 bit or WINDOWS 7 to access this additional memory?

By design, all 32-bit versions of Windows is limited to 4 GB of RAM; This 4 GB that you will see only about 2.75 GB to 3.50 GB usable RAM, the remaining RAM is reserved by the hardware you have installed. So, to use more than 4 GB of RAM, you will need to upgrade to a 64 bit version of Windows Vista.

According to the specifications below page, your system is expandable up to 8 GB of RAM, because it has 4 DIMM DDR2 slots.

However, according to the support page below, only drivers for Vista (32-bit and 64-bit) are available for your system. This can prevent you from upgrading to Windows 7.

  • can I switch to 6 GB of ram on my computer?

Hi well im confused because Comet where I bought my pc from http://www.comet.co.uk/p/Computer-Base-Units/buy-HP-G5225UK-Computer-Base-Unit/681687 says taken maximum supported memory of my pc is 8 GB however, on crucial ram site he says maximum memory 4 GB so which should I believe by the way that I already ordered ram so yes but if it turns out it does not work , then they said they will refund me anyway what is yet to come, so I want to know what is right. Thank you

    Hello:

Interesting that there is conflicting information from HP.

I guess that it will take 8 GB then.

You will always need a 64-bit operating system to take advantage of more than 4 GB of memory, and according to the technical data sheet that you provided, it will be to come up with this (Win 7 Home Premium 64 bit).

I have a system of 3 GB/500 GB HD in Inspiron 530 Dell, Vista Home Premium 32-bit.  I need to restart more frequently and the system works more slower and slower... so I think the upgrade.  Can I move to a 64 bit OS in Windows 7 or 8 and keep the same hardware and software, applications that I already like Office 2007, Photoshop Elements, etc... ?  What are the benefits to 64-bit?

    Hello

There is no way to upgrade from 32 bit to 64 bit.

It should be down with a clean install.

Go to your computer / computer laptop manufacturer Web site and see if Windows 7 drivers are available for your make and model computer / laptop.

If this is not available, Windows 7 will not properly work for you.

Run the "Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor.

  • I can't wrap my head around resizing/resampling and what is the right way to do it (CS5)

I know it's probably pretty basic, but it escapes within my reach at the moment.  for some reason, my teacher never really went over this other that say 300 DPI was what you want to get better quality prints, so I have always just sort of worked with this in mind, and has never required much account "resampling" or that he was necessarily, box was just always checked.  im not sure how, or if, I myself was screwing all this time and I know that's not THAT hard so any advice would be appreciated.  and I apologize if this has been exceeded to death, but I wanted to use an example to help understand better (I hope).

Oh and most of my work I display on the internet, with the idea that it will be printed in the future, or with the idea that she can at least be printed.  I heard about the web, all you need is 72 dpi, but since I expect to be printed I just made 300 DPI and save normally.  It of a bad move on my part and I'm missing something by saving does not 'for the web and devices '?

    example:

    Screen shot 2014-05-04 at 5.01.20 PM.png

so I have an image I downloaded on the internet.  as you can see, it is at 72 dpi and near 12.7x17.7in.

Let's say I want to enlarge to a same 13 inches and increase the resolution to 300 dpi.

I'm confused that when I want to uncheck resample.  Since it blocks the pixels, if I increase the resolution the image gets more small and vice versa.  I don't know that I have enter when it's advantageous to have unchecked resample.

I feel really stupid, because I know this is pretty noobish, but we have barely touched on this and the ability to save for web and devices (not at all) in my design class.  Thanks for any help.

Resizing is only this; It resizes the image while keeping the number of pixels. Resampling is adding an option to change the number of pixels in the image.

As a general rule, you'll want to leave resampling of the equation when printing it is mainly used for the screen (monitor) watch one.

  • How can I fix a corrupted file cmd.exe and what I do to format the hard drive will that solve my problem and then what I do

One of my computers has a virus and I'm ready to reformat the drive if I know what to do when I try to go to the command prompt, I get the cmd.exe message is corrupt.

You could try to copy the cmd.exe file from another XP computer to yours.  It is usually located in the C:\Windows\System32 directory. (Save your current file first, however)  Otherwise, try to start the command-line like this:
    Start-> Run-> "command."
Note that this should appear "command.com" which is different from the "cmd.exe" (but looks like).

If you try to reformat the drive to reinstall Windows, simply boot from your Windows XP installation disc and launch the installation.  A reformat is a normal step in a new installation of Windows.

  • Can I switch to 8 GB?

    Hello

I have a DELL Vostro 3550 with serial number [deleted by privacy policy]. can I switch to 8 GB of RAM?

I already have two 2 GB modules. Are there any specific brand of RAM should I choose?

    Help is appreciated.

    Thanks adavance

    Ramesh Chandra

    Hi Rchakkilam,

Thanks for your post.  Vostro 3550 has a maximum of 6 GB taken in charge by the factory.  However, I have seen other users say that they have upgraded to 8 GB without problems.  The part number for 4 GB memory modules is A3558401-BD.  Because Dell is no longer manufactures the Vostro, you watch 3rd third party sites to, like Crucial.com or Parts - People.com for memory.

    I hope this helps.

    Kind regards
    Robert

    Hello

I have a problem that I can't switch between 3 languages, English, Thai and Japanese, by the grave accent.
He always alternates between 2 languages.
Strangely, in IE it changes between JP and TH, while in Excel it changes between JP and FR.
I tried to delete every languages, re-add-the and restart.
Also I tried to uncheck the grave accent, restart windows, and then box focus serious when I add 3 languages already.
    But everything went wrong.
    It's my laptop at work.
And I remember that I can switch between 3 languages with my personal laptop at home.
If you have solutions, please tell me.
    Thank you in advance.

and the operation of an accent grave strangtly.
in IE, it becomes between JP and TH, while in Excel it changes between JP and IN.
In any case, thank you for your information.
Finally, I found a shortcut to change the keyboard to JP EMI JP.
