  I use an Imac under Snow Leopard.

  Downloaded MAMP and installed ok - start page display and the States servers works ok.

  File server root is the user/Applications/MAMP/htdocs

  have copied the Techniques folder in the tutorial in this folder and have imported the included database in myphpadmin and everything seems ok

  Go to configure the site server, following the instructions in the book, and this is then I try to connect to the database.

  Dreamweaver won't give the following error message.

  

  It seems that I am without mapping to the right folder. I guess I should be reviewed in the htdocs folder, but it does not connect.

  Can anyone help please with a speech through this configuration.

  You use the default MAMP ports or have you go to the preferences and set the default value of Apache/mySQL?  If you left on the default MySQL port is "8889" which means that your mySQL would read 'localhost:8889' because otherwise DW research only on the default port.  Everything seems in order.

  I suggest to refer to the following methods and check to see if it helps:

  Method 1:

  Install the latest display driver and check

  Uninstall the driver from Device Manager display.

  a. close all programs. This will ensure that the programs do not interfere with the update of the driver.
  b. right-click on my computer, and then click Properties. This will bring you from the System Properties menu.

  c. click Device Manager
  d. expand the display column of cards by clicking on them. This will show the graphical current map that is using your computer.
  e. right click on the adapter, then select Properties.
  f. click on the driver tab. This tab displays information about the current driver, as well as options to update, delete, uninstall, and back the driver.
  g. click on uninstall
  h. restart the computer

  You can install the latest display driver for download on the site of computer manufacturing, same driver will reinstall automatically after the restart, if the computer is connected to the Internet.

• One of my sites always connects, but the other becomes had an ftp error cannot connect to the host.

  My problem is in "connect to remote server". I manage two sites in Dreamweaver CS6, and they are hosted by the same guy.  A site still connects fine, but it stopped connecting. With the second site when I click the button I get a delay then "an ftp error occurred - cannot establish a connection to the host".

  However, I can still access the second server in the remote site through an FTP program and support host confirms that my connection works very well from his computer.

  I tried to do with the old stuff (1) Site > Manage Sites > export to create an .ste file (2) completely, restart the management of Sites (3) > import the .ste file (4) click on connect to the remote server - But that made no difference

  The two sites are hosted by the same company does not mean that they are on the same physical server.  Your connection problem may be due to many things.

  • Username and password may have changed or been reset.
  • Server permissions problems (GoDaddy is known for this).
  • IP blocking.
  • Server is down.
  • etc...

  Are you able to connect with an FTP 3rd party like FileZilla client?  If this isn't the case, I guess it's a server problem & you will need to contact your host.

  The other three directories of "Extensions" are accessible only by ColdFusion and should stay outside the web root. However, I want to be able to edit these directories in DW, as well.
  
  In Dreamweaver, I have the local root folder defined on C:\WebSites\ wwwbeta.evansville.edu.
  The HTTP address is on http://wwwbeta.evansville.edu/
  
  However, these settings just don't jive during the insertion of links. (I don't want to use relative links. We only use absolute links).
  
  When I insert a link, it will as long as "/ WebSite/Link.cfm. I understand very well why this is happening. However, I am looking for suggestions on how to configure DW, if possible, for me to work with all of these directories, in a unique site of DW definition, generating yet correct absolute links.

  It is a relative path, a relative path root site.

  because you chose a folder which is a folder of level higher than we should
  for the record of Site Local to this site, dw made the wrong way.

  There was not anyway you want.
  Set the Site Local folder to
  \WebSite\ wwwbeta.evansville.edu D:\

  and dw will properly the root of the relative site or document relative paths for
  the main site folder

  You will not be able to touch anything in these other folders with dw, because
  they are out of the structure of the site.

  You can define a new site for each of the other files, and then you could
  have dw make correct paths when working on includes, for example.

  As far as I KNOW, you can't do it with a single site def.

  I'm working on vSphere client 5.1 (vCenter Server 5.1). Trying to export a virtual machine for distribution model. When I go to file-> export the template OVF..., I get the following error message:

If I connect vSphere Web Client and navigate to the same model (or all other models), under 'All the Actions of vCenter' I don't have an option to export to the model of the FVO.   Discovered that vSphere server had some modifications made by HIM to resolve the violation POODLE. HE had to set the ip address of the machine where export OVF will be performed. Which allowed the connection to establish vsphere client and perform an export of the FVO.

  There are some problems with the download of ftp through Muse, who knows the team of engineers and those will be corrected in a future version of Muse. At this point, the work around would be to export the html code of Muse and then download via some third party client like filezilla ftp.
