Can no longer access creative cloud

I'm in the field with my Macbook Pro, 10.8.5 earlier, I tried to open an inDesign file, 2014.0 version (build 10.0.0.70), but I received a message it could not open because it was saved with a newer version of Adobe InDesign (11.1 CC). I was a bit puzzled by the present I'm sure on a trip in the first week of December, I opened an earlier record of the same file. Once I get home from this trip, I have upgraded my iMac to El Capitan and perhaps InDesign somehow upgraded during this process.

In any case, I need to open the file, so I naturally went the small creative cloud icon, but when I click on it I get the large empty box of creative cloud but without command options. I leave this dialog open for two hours and did something else, but nothing ever happened. I went online to see if I could connect to Creative Cloud from there. I got a page that led me to another list of my Creative Cloud products - but that a partial list of people I've downloaded and used. InDesign did not appear in the list. I tried to do a fresh install, but once I log and confirm that it's my computer, nothing happens at all.

Bad, I need to open this file while I'm still in the area, but am completely stuck!

A solution will be greatly appreciated!

Hi Frostfrog,

Version 11 is InDesign CC 2015, you should be able to install this version after that you are able to get into the creative cloud application.

I've seen this doc help in this situation with the creative cloud app not opening

https://helpx.Adobe.com/creative-cloud/KB/creative-cloud-app-doesn ' t - open.html

You might use this doc uninstaller to remove it

Uninstall the Adobe Creative Cloud desktop application

Hope that helps
