Can no network in windows 8 OS comments, I find drivers?
Hello the VMWare community. I am to evaluate VMWare workstation 9, and most of the time I love it. Since I am a user of the totally blind computer that uses software text-to-speech screen reader, keyboard shortcuts for bootting VM, and switching between the host and the guest of the BONE are a must for me. I have 3 currently configured VM. My host OS is windows vista Home premium 32-bit, running on an older Toshiba laptop. My guests are windows XP pro, windows 7 pro and windows 8 pro. My XP and windows 7 clients work well. However, my Windows VM 8 has not any network connectivity either. Looking in the Device Manager in windows 8, I see an ethernet controller under other devices with no driver installed for it. VMWare does not install drivers for the guest OS or I have to see if I can find the drivers for my physical NIC for windows 8? The host computer is an old Toshiba Satellite P205D laptop PC series. When you configure windows 8 VM, I said I wanted to networking, and I tried NAT and mode, no luck with either bridged. If anyone can give me some ideas to get networking to work under windows 8, I would be grateful. I have full access to windows 8 with my access to MSDNAA now dreamspark through my college. So any ideas on getting my ethernet controller in windows 8 VM would be useful. Thank you.
Have you created the virtual machine by using the default settings?
The default for Windows 8 virtual network adapter is the "e1000e" and must be recognized by Windows 8 out of the box. Please check if the configuration of the virtual machine (.vmx) file contains the entry that is appropriate for the network card.
ethernet0.virtualDev = "e1000e.

can be upgraded to windows 10 in SafeMode with networking
Can I upgrade to windows 10 in SafeMode with Networking windows 7 ultimate
No, you can not install Windows 10 in Mode without failure.
What you need to do is set aside some time and temporarily disable other services that use your Internet connection to facilitate the download of Windows 10.
You can download the ISO and then upgrade in offline mode:
- How to download official Windows 10 ISO files
- How to: upgrade previous versions of Windows using the file ISO for Windows 10

Hello. Under the network of my machine Windows 8 folder, I can see all the devices on the network. This includes a printer, my computer Windows 7 (what I can access), an Apple TV (from special software), a wireless hard drive, the router and a digital recorder.
The Windows 7 machine, I can only see the router and the printer. On special software, the Apple TV does not either. When you perform the Windows 8 computer host as a server for the special software, the Windows 7 machine could not see it on the special software. This means that there is something wrong on the Windows 7 this machine is not allowing him to detect other devices.
In a game of LAN, Windows 7 and Windows 8 computers can't see each other.
All devices are on the internet and I am posting this from the Windows 7 machine right now.
Windows 7 and Windows 8 machine are on the same network.
No device is on a host group and the group home service is disabled.
Peer networking is enabled.
Network discovery is turned on.
Both connections are set to private/Home.
Originally, the Windows 7 machine has been on his own home group and could be seen by anything. After a few hours, I finally got out of the home group, how other devices could see him then. However, he cannot always see other devices.
How can I get the Windows 7 machine to see other devices? I am at a loss. Is there a service that I have disabled right now that needs to be enabled? I don't know what to do.
Hello
Please contact Microsoft Community.
Disable the security software and check.

Warning: Antivirus software can help protect your computer against viruses and other security threats. In most cases, you should not disable your antivirus software. If you do not disable temporarily to install other software, you must reactivate as soon as you are finished. If you are connected to the Internet or a network during the time that your antivirus software is disabled, your computer is vulnerable to attacks.

Cannot install network printer on Windows 7. Detects the printer then it says cannot locate the driver. All my vista and XP machines have no problem finding drivers. It is a 32-bit 64-bit vs questions? How can I fix it?
Windows Server 2008 network. Printers have ip addresses. Install the drivers from the Print Manager. /Terminal Server Workgroup installation. It's the same situation with XP. The print driver names must match. If you notice the name of the printer driver that uses XP is a name different from the one that is installed when you plug in the device on the Windows 7 computer. This is just my assumption, please correct me if this isn't the case.
The real solution is to install a 32-bit driver on the XP machine that uses the same name that the 64-bit driver and share a printer using this driver or find a 64-bit driver that uses the same name as the 32-bit driver installed on XP and install the driver on XP.

How can I connect my Windows 8 system to a wireless network?
You can have a new system of Windows 8 and need to connect it to a wireless network, but can't seem to find how to do this.
This can be done pretty simply in Windows 8, but it's a little different.
Windows 8 has called the splash screen. This is the command center for Windows 8.
If you put the cursur mouse on the right side of the screen and click to drag, but a panel that comes out. It is the bar of charms.
At the bottom of this is a settings option. Click on this and the symbol of familir Windows 7 wireless network should be present. This is how you can change what this network is connected to.
This is also where you can easily enable or disable airplane mode if you wish. It will be above the list of wireless networks that appears when you click the symble of wireless network in the charm of parameters.
There is another way to connect to a network in Windows 8.
If you prefer the more familiar method of Windows 7, you can open the desktop app from the start screen to reveal the familiar system tray in Windows 7. Simply click on the network icon to display the list of available wireless networks.
I hope this information is useful.

Satellite A300 - 1 MM-can I switch to Windows 8?
Hello!
I have a laptop Toshiba Satellite A300 - 1 MM.
It is Windows Vista, which is preinstalled.
I can it move to Windows 8?
Thanks for the tips.In general your old A300 is not supported for Wn8. It is supported for Win7 only. Not same A500 is supported for upgrading Win8.
I have also, but running with Win7 32 bit and I m very happy with it.As far as I know that Vista Win8 upgrade is not supported so that you can try is to install Win7 and install the upgrade for Win8. With the drivers and especially with Toshiba Utilities and tools can be a bit problematic, but you can try to use the stuff proposed for the new model of laptop.
Unfortunately on this forum we don't have much information about these updates.
If you try to install Win8 thanks for posting comments. -
I can't start my windows XP and it's driving crazy me.
I tried to start in safe mode, but an error message: "Sorry for the inconvenience..." "appears with a list of the modes of starting; safe, safe with command prompt, safe with networking, last known... "which loads the windows startup page, then continues the whole pathetic saga. The last thing I did was to turn off the power by using the reset button
I know it's stupid, but it's a rush of blood to the head.My end and strap joined to the top. Help!
Seems you have tangled up your OS!
I think your last resort is on the Microsoft CD or recovery CD!
Most often only the new OS installation could help.
