  You don't have not shown us how the LabVIEW code looks like. The size_t setting refers to the length of the buffer, in that you spend. In this case you pass a string.   I hope that you don't have the VM running when you moved it as that can corrupt things.

  At least as much as the permissions on the 'Virtual Machines between users sharing' section A VMware Fusion beginner's Guide and make sure you you have set permissions on all the files are in the package of the target VM.
