Can satellite M300 - I install Vista 64-bit?

I have a Satellite phone, M300. Memory 4GB Centrino2 P8400 processor.
Can I install Vista 64 bit on my laptop?

Why not?

Laptop computer s hardware components are strong enough to ensure good performance, even using the Vista operating system.

The M300 Satellite seems to be an Australian series for Toshiba laptop.
On the page of the Australian driver Toshiba, I could find drivers for 64 bit Vista for a Satellite M300
http://www.ISD.Toshiba.com.au

I think that it shouldn't be a problem to get the Vista 64 bit running on this laptop ;)

  • Can satellite L500D - I get Vista 64-bit?

I just buy new computer Toshiba Satellite L500D and I installed Vista 64 bit, but then I realized that some of the programs and games work dosent in 64-bit version of windows.

Can I still chance it if I recover this window or if I order Windows 7 (a free, I just pay what they send me) can I get it then? Or I can make clear installation and then chanse on 32-bit or install Windows xp and upgrade to Windows 7?

    Hey Buddy

All first if burn you the Toshiba Recovery disk using the Toshiba Recovery disk you can still restore Vista 64 bit any time you want. This disk contains an image of the factory settings and can be restored if you start from the disc.

Your question about the different versions of Windows (upgrade, etc) is quite complicated, but theoretically, you can install what you want. An upgrade to Windows 7 is possible if you are using Vista, update on XP isn t possible. In addition, you can pass only to the same version, which means that Vista 32 bit can only be upgraded to Windows 7 32-bit and 64-bit to 64-bit only.

  • Can satellite A100 - I use Vista 32 bit to Vista 64-bit product key

    Hello
I need to install the 64 bit version of Vista on my laptop Satellite A100PSAARE sn: 17177793 Q that comes with recovery CD OEM Vista Home Premiun (32bits).

The code of the label is not appropriate for the installation of the 64-bit version and I want to get one that would be ok.
Do I have to buy a update to get this code? Where?
Can Toshiba provide me with the right code?

    Concerning
    Andrea Gasparetto

    Hello

The product key on the underside of the laptop is an OEM key. This means it belongs to the preinstalled version of Vista and t can be used with another version that you can buy on the internet or computer stores.

So if you want another version of Vista you have to buy a copy with the product key for your local computer store, for example.

  • New HARD drive installed Vista 32 bit, but need drivers for Satellite Pro A300-1MC

"Because my recovery disks that I made 3 years ago does not, I just installed Vista 32 bit and then on the Toshiba site, where I have downloaded all the drivers available for my laptop (a Satellite Pro A300-1MC) on a USB key (that I don't have a driver to connect to broadband on my laptop) and when I tried to open on my laptop a message comes up saying" Please insert the last disk of all selfextracting and click OK to continue. "

    So what I do now?
    Thank you

Sounds like you have enabled autoplay
Whenever you insert the memory key USB flash it will try and read the contents of the files on it.
You can disable this by holding SHIFT when you insert the USB key.
This should disable the AutoPlay option.
Then you can go to MY computer in order to access the USB key.

Note: pilots are zipped so you will need to decompress the content first, I installed a 3rd third party tool called WinRAR to unpack the packages unique.

  • Can I install Vista 64 bit on 32-bit Vista?

I can install Vista 64 bit on a Vista 32-bit mode window mode or should I make an OS install clean / modified?

You must do a clean install, which means that you must start again Vista 64-bit DVD and follow the instructions on the screen.

I think the upgrade from 32 bit to 64 bit is not possible.

  • Impossible to install Vista 32 bit or Windows 7 on my Satellite L300D

    Hello world

I recently decided to reboot my laptop, because whenever I open it, it will say do to run a recovery system and doesn't go anywhere.
I left it on for hours and nothing came, so I tried to install Vista 32 bit, but does not. I need Windows Vista 64 bit or is this something else?

In general your ad is a little complicated to understand. We understand that you have problems with the installation of the OS, but I put t understand exactly what happens then please be so kind and try to explain what happening exactly when you try to use the original Toshiba recovery image.

    Does installation starts correctly?
On what stage is stays and doesn't go further?
What happen when you try to use the Win7 installation disc?

Please provide as much information as possible.

  • Audio driver does not work on Satellite U400-112 with Vista 64-bit Buss

    Hello

I installed Win Vista Buss. 64-bit on my Toshiba Satellite U400-112 but the original driver for the Toshiba site does not work properly, honestly does not at all. The only driver that works is a winner. Vista driver but when I plugged in her headphones just got pregnant shape, but there is no sound in headphones.

    Can someone help me, please?

    Hello!

I have a Satellite U400 with Windows Vista 64 bit also, and I used the driver on the Toshiba site (Conexant 4.36.7.0).
It works without problems, I can hear sounds with the speakers and headphones.

Maybe you have an old BIOS. After the installation of Windows Vista, I made an update of the BIOS so try that too.
The BIOS you can find also on the Toshiba site.

  • Can satellite A350-13D - I install Vista 64-bit?

    Hello
(sorry, I can't speak English very well, sorry if I write to you with its imperfections)

3 days ago, I bought a Toshiba Satellite A350-13D. It has 4 GB of RAM, but Windows Vista Home Premium 32 Bit is installed. The computer can use only 3 GB.

I can't install Vista Home Premium 64-Bit to use all of the RAM (4 GB)? Where can I download the driver for my computer?

    Thanks for your help :)
    Good day

    Hello!

Of course, you can install Windows Vista 64 bit, why not? What do you think?

On the Toshiba site I can find all the drivers for Vista 64 bit on Satellite A350 so it should all work properly with Vista 64. Check yourself:
    http://EU.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com-online decision-making supported Downloads & => Download drivers

But note there are two different BIOS versions One available for 32-bit and one for 64-bit. After installation of Vista 64-bit, you must refresh the BIOS too.

  • Satellite P300D-12Y can I install Vista 64-bit?

    Hello world
I'm new here and have my first Toshiba-laptop, just bought a week ago.
    It is this model
    http://de.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com/innovation/product/satellite-P300D-12Y/1060921/toshibaShop/false/

It works OK, but Vista 32 is quite a mess ;)

As I've worked on XP pro or Vista 64-bit on my PC now my question:

Can I install Vista64 on this book?
Do I need a special BIOS for the 64 bit - OS?
The Toshiba download page are no drivers or BIOS for Vista64 corresponding to my model number.

I tried to update my recent BIOS of 2.6 to 2.8 (included P300D-series) but without success, error message was 'no corresponding version of BIOS', I tried upgrading on windows.

All useful tips about the BIOS and Vista64-install (and whether I should get the drivers from the manufacturer sites) are appreciated.

    THX in advance

Of course, you can install the Vista 32 bit on this laptop.
But the problem is that the 64 bit Vista drivers are not published at this time for this series of laptop.

So, you have to collect the drivers of your own hands.
In addition, you should not try to update the BIOS if it has not been created specially for this model of laptop.

  • Re: Satellite X 200 - 22F - is - can I use BIOS of Vista 64 bit for Windows 7?

    Hello!

Can I use Vista 64 - bit - 2.50 for my X 200 - 22 Satellite BIOS update? I just installed Windows 7 HOME PREMIUM 64 bit and it works fine.
Before that, I had XP-32 bit running.

    Thank you in advance!

    Tom

    Hi tn411,

I guess that the BIOS of 64 bit Vista would be the best choice for Windows 7 64 bit. The other version of BIOS on the Toshiba site seems to be for 32 bit OS, so you can choose the 64-bit version of Vista.

If you have any other questions, please let us know! :)

  • Can satellite A500 - I install Windows 7 64 bit?

I first bought a Satellite A500 with 4 GB of RAM there are a little over 3 months with Windows 7 64 bit Home Premium installed. Initially, I got the original dramas with finding drivers 64-bit etc., then it ran OK for a while. After about 2 & a half months I started having BSOD with error message related to a nvidia .sys file. After a few weeks of this, update the latest drivers etc and a number of unsuccessful attempts to diagnose the problem, it's that occur whenever I used the laptop and up he took the touchpad died as well. The company I bought at gave me a laptop replacement.

The new system is also a Satellite A500, and although it has a different model number and a CPU faster it is also virtually identical to the one I had already with 4 GB of RAM and graphics card from nvidia at the same address. However, for some reason Windows 7 32 bit has been pre-installed. I don't know why the company has not installed the 64-bit. A call to the dept tech with the issue gave rise to the answer "better for you", which means that 32-bit is better for me.

My laptop is capable of 64-bit. I know that when you run the 32-bit version, it uses only up to 3.2 GB of installed RAM (my system says 2.99 GB is usable - assume the rest is allocated to graphics?) but I read a post where the poster says it is running 32 bit Win 7 was actually faster than the 64-bit version though even he was not using all the RAM.

    * Can someone tell me if I'm running the 32-bit version of Windows 7 rather than the 64-bit version better? *

    * If I'm better with 64-bit, can I switch to 64-bit or what I need to do a complete reinstall? * No installation disk provided. Assume that the installation files are on the hidden partition.

Although I have not had a BSOD with this new laptop, I had a couple of instances where the system froze temporarily with the messge "your display driver has stopped working" followed by a recovery. Is this a thing Toshiba, nvidia or Windows 7? I have read quite a few other posts of people with laptops similar to mine who have had the same mistakes of Toshiba/nvidia but no resolution. * If it's going to be a problem with the graphics card, I'm better off the coast with 32-bit or 64-bit Windows 7? *

Any advice would be appreciated muchly.

    Hello

I a500 and run Windows Ultimate 64-bit, it's best to run 64-bit to 32-bit windows. You must copy of 64-bit Windows to install, it is not big problem to get it. All the drivers you can find on the Toshiba driver page:

  • How can I reinstall the Satellite L300/OVK with Vista 32 bits as being its 64 bit now

Does anyone know how I can reinstall a L300/OVK NB with Windows Vista 32 bit.
The problem is that it is 64 bit at the moment and I can't install software on it. I don't have a Windows installation CD.

I contacted the store that I bought in and they said to press f12 or O when the computer is put in place.

However, this does not work. Anyone know what I can do to install my software?

Run the Toshiba Recovery Disc Creator. There should be an icon on the desktop or in the Start Menu.

If she creates more than 2 DVD x, then you will have the option of 32-bit or 64-bit when run you recovery.

To run the recovery from the HARD disk:

When the laptop is OFF, press and hold the Zero key.
    Turn on the laptop
Release the zero key when you see the Toshiba Logo.

  • Satellite L350 - cannot install Vista and how can I backup my data?

    Hi all

I have a Satellite L350 and recently I installed Vista Home Premium in another language (the OEM Vista was in English) in the hope I could activate it with the OEM key, but I did not.

When I tried to re - install the Vista OEM of WinRE I realized I can't access it, and then I got a "brilliant" idea that will format the C partition with Acronis Disk Director he could boot to WinRE. There can be no.

Fortunately, I have burned before recovery disks. The only problem is that the whole HARD disc recovery disc formats and I have data on the second partition that I would like to recover.

I tried to install Vista retail again to save the data of the second partition (Yes, I'm a fool, I did not before) but it stops after the first reboot. I get a black screen with an underscore will blink.

I really need that data, please help!

    Hello!

I can tell you why you can t install a version of Vista with product key. It's pretty easy because the button on the lower side on the laptop belongs to the preinstalled OEM version and t can be used by a commercial version.

However, I think the best way to back up your data would be that you put the HARD drive in an external HARD drive enclosure, and then you can back up your data on another PC or laptop.
These cases of disc HARD external are cheap but very useful.

  • Can I put a Satellite A300-15 b Vista 64-bit?

    Hello

I think to buy a satellite A300-15B, which sounds like a great machine for the price, but when I asked at the store if I can run Vista 64-bit, they told me that I can't do.

What is the point of having 4 GB RAM (8 GB disposable?) then?

Please can someone confirm if I have the opportunity to opt or not? (Living in the United Kingdom)

    Thank you

Have you checked page under http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com drivers download 64-bit Vista and the availability of tools on Toshiba?

Check if the drivers are available for this model of laptop PSAJ4E.

    > What is the point of having 4 GB RAM
    Good question for Microsoft. ;)
