  I recommend to try this first:

  1. disable any antivirus software or security, you have running on your computer. Looking for software to disable that contains a firewall.

  2. click on START
  3. Type "cmd" (without the quotes). Right-click on the result at the top of the menu START and select 'run as administrator '.
  4 type the following and press enter

  Regsvr32 softpub.dll wintrust.dll initpki.dll

  5. then type the following command and press enter

  netsh winsock reset

  6. restart your computer and see what happens.

  If you can't change the email during indexing, see the steps below:

  The OOBE and rename it OOBE.old and then try to connect with the correct ID:

  Let me soce entry details:

  1. all computers need to have at least one administrator account. It will not work without it.
  It does NOT, however, create a profile For YOU defaultAdmin. It belongs to the user or the owner to create and decide who is Admin, and who is a regular user.
  2. even an admin account will not get to install and change the settings automatically. UAC (user account control) always appears to ask for confirmation of the task by clicking on continue, or by typing the admin password.
  3 be the main user is not to be an administrator. It is up to the user/owner of the computer to be configured as such.

  I have tried many options, with no luck in obtaining updates from Windows to work on Vista Home Premium SP2, 32-bit. I even used another (direct) Internet connection and every Fix - It offered.   Why the Windows Installer keep popping up, either on a web page or an e-mail to the office when nothing is installed.  No way to stop that... ?

  The desktop of your computer, click on the tab "Start", usually located at the bottom left of the screen (on Vista, it's maybe the windows symbol instead of the word 'Start').

  Now, find and click on the program title 'run '. Vista users can locate this program by typing "run" in the area of research at the bottom of the menu 'start '.

  Once you open 'Run', type 'MSCONFIG' in the empty box and click 'OK '. This will open the System Configuration utility.

  With the open System Configuration utility, select the tab "Services".

  Scroll down the list of services (it may be advantageous to click on the 'service' column to sort the services by alphabetical order) until you find the program "Windows Installer".

  Now, click on the checkbox next to the name of the Windows Installer and click on the button 'Disable' at the bottom of the Configuration of the system.

  I noticed that many people have the same problem with my computer when their computer/laptop has an AMD/ATI video card. Here's all I did and I got now work stations facing up and running for a week without any apparent problem

  1 back up your Virtual Machines a safe place and uninstall the workstation

  2 uninstall the AMD/ATI drivers

  3 reinstall the drivers

  4 reinstall the workstation

  5 follow the instructions below exactly to make a registry change

  a. Open regedit.exe and backup the registry, if you don't know how just google it is incredibly easy to make and the instructions are abundant so I don't post them here.

  b. open Notepad and enter the following text, make sure it is correct that the registry change can be risky, but if you enter the text exactly as it is below, you shouldn't have any problems because I have none.   I use Acrobat Pro XI and I can't use the polygon tool to annotate documents.  I'm running it on a new PC and I am the administrator.  When I first set up the software I could use this tool.

  It is an indication that the touch mode is active. Should be a button of toolbar that you can click to turn it off. There is also a preference of the user that allows you to turn off.
