Can't access my files (as if I have no write permission)

Hello, it seems that all of a sudden, I came across a weird problem. These things happen:

  • Sticky Notes not be loading not
  • When you open iTunes, a pop-up "iTunes Library.itl file is locked on a locked disk or you do not have the write permission to the file.
  • Word documents cannot be replaced (but can still be edited/written in, newly made files after that this problem occurred can be overwritten as usual)
  • All of my passwords don't immediately fill up, and I'll stay not connected to Facebook etc, even though I already have so that they keep me connected

It's weird because I checked my permission and my user has indeed permission write (has a tick on the left side under "Allow") and I tried the following:

  • System Restore (failed 0x80070005 because, even after the execution of SubInACL)
  • Downloaded and run the SubInACL file according to https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/968003
  • Scanned for malware using AVG, only the rejected popped up

All this has not fixed my problem. The only thing I don't have is make a new user and set my stuff here, but I hope that there is a less radical solution.

Thanks for the help!

EDIT: Also when trying to edit MP3 tags I get error 0x8007000D

EDIT: I tried to put a word document in another user, but the same error is still present. I noticed that next to the title, 'Read only' is displayed even if I didn't it read-only (in their menu of properties click right, 'Read only' was checked). Looks like my other hard drive of the computer that is not affected by this error D:\

EDIT: He's back to normal now, but I got that by unchecking 'Read only' manually. I don't know if it's a good idea if

Hello Rainbow,.

Thanks for posting your question on the Microsoft community.

I would like to know some information about the problem so that we can help you better.

You made any hardware or software changes on your computer before the show?

Thank you for details on the question and your efforts to resolve.

This problem can occur if a user does not have permissions to work with files and folders.

I would suggest trying the following methods and check if it helps.

Method 1:
Run this Microsoft fixit and check.
Reference:
Diagnose and repair Windows files and folders problems automatically
https://support.Microsoft.com/en-us/mats/windows_file_and_folder_diag/en-us

If this does not help, use method 2.

Method 2:
Use the steps described in this article and check the issue.
Reference:
"Access denied" or other errors when you access or work with files and folders in Windows
https://support.Microsoft.com/en-us/KB/2623670

I appreciate the fact that you have run the virus scan on your computer. However, please also run Microsoft safety scanner to check and remove any viruses or malware.
Reference:
Microsoft safety scanner
http://www.Microsoft.com/security/scanner/en-us/default.aspx

Note: The data files that are infected must be cleaned only by removing the file completely, which means that there is a risk of data loss.

I hope this information helps.

Please let us know if you need more help.

Thank you

It is very easy to give the users rights to other folders by right-clicking on a folder or a file and selecting Properties, then security (re para below I just checked prior to this announcement and there is a link on the Security screen 'learn on the access control and permissions'. If logged in as an administrator, then you can do what you like, connected as a user for you only the things you 'clean '. However if it is simple to do, you should also understand its effects. If your machine is used only by yourself or people that you are happy to have provided full access to the hard drive then you don't remove no permission and that you are confident, no one will remove/mess with the files they don't own then begin.

It would be a good idea to type "permissions" in windows 'Help and Support' and spend time following the topics that seem to be relevant. A quick google didn't find an idiots guide - everything seems to be 'network' based and has too much information. Hi again,

You can still install, make sure just that take care you of your images, and your personal files and then go for the installation of Windows 10, 64-bit.

All you need to do to re-setup is to download the Adobe Creative cloud application and then you can install LR and PS since the Application itself.

  • Data on the iMac, but can not access the files.

    Hi all

I have a iMac Core 2 Duo (3.33, 21.5 inches) since end 2009, running 10.6.8 Snow Leopard and I'm trying to recover some files that seem to be there, but I can not access it due to an update of the unfinished software.

A few years back, I tried the Mavericks update using an external hard drive as the boot drive (at that time there I ran 10.6.7 Lion), installation is never ending and I accidentally deleted this file to start on the outside, so I ended up coming back to his moose BONE, 10.6.8 Snow Leopard.

He seems to resemble a new install of Snow Leopard, except my old files (about 350 GB) still live on this subject, but I can not access all of the files, or does not even appear in the Finder.

Would appreciate any advice or tips on how to do to recover my invisible files. Thank you!

Do you see the drive in disk utility?

The drive will appear in the left column of the disk utility?

I have a file stored on a computer in a remote location.  This file must be consulted in several test computers to update the results of the tests.  I need to access the file to collect the results.  Currently I have to connect to the remote computer via the file manager and say file manager to save the password so that LabVIEW will be able to access the test result file.  Is it possible that LabVIEW can do this?  I don't want the test computers to stay connected to the remote computer, as someone can possibly accidentally damage the file.

    Thank you.

This question has come up before. Have you tried a search? You can use the "net use" command through Exec System to set up the network share, and then you can disconnect. Do a search on 'net use', or simply type 'net help use' at the command prompt.

The server worked flawlessly for 2 years.  Now it the intermittent connection.  When I try to back up a computer on the server it the backup starts but stalls and I get an error message saying that there was a problem with the software of server connection.  I reinstalled the software of connection to server with no improvement.  Restart the server generally means I can access the files again, but it will still drop the connection.  The same problem occurs on all five connected computers.  All running Windows 7 family 64 or Windows XP.  I did have a backup successful PC in two months. I am desperate for help.  Had the server in the computer store and they could not in the absence of it.  They had to install the software of my original disks, so I wonder if it's an automatic update (including the computer store would not, by returning to the original disks).  Everyone suffers from the same issue?

Unfortunately he wa a sign of a failure of network card.  As it was an integral part of the unit, replacement was more expensive than the original server.  So I bought a new server.  He has managed to move the hard drives on the new server.

  • Can't access all files because of missing permissions

    OK, I made a mistake.

I wanted to get rid of my old XP box and replace a computer Windows Vista laptop that I left another task.   I was lazy and used Carbonite to get my files from my old computer to the new computer without reading the instructions.
In any case, after that the download is finished all my files from the old computer were indeed on the new computer, but I could not access ANY of them because none of them had any permission that has been.
I can right click and go through a second 30 address to claim ownership of these files, but since I have THOUSANDS of files I was hoping that there was an easier way.
I had just trash everything and start over, but I can't even remove these files without "permission" to do.  Given that I'm the only user of this computer and the files are mine (obviously), it's very frustrating.   Lesson learned but... If you want to save one bone to another, READ THE INSTRUCTIONS.
    :-)
Any help would be appreciated.  I wonder if my best bet would be to just format everything (he let me?) and reload the operating system.   I wouldn't mind it, actually, if it's the best solution.

    Hello

I don't know why you are facing this problem and why the Security tab isn't showing any authorization. However, you can use your favorite search engine and try to use third party software to help read the files based on the priority.

Using third-party software, including hardware drivers can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from starting properly. Microsoft cannot guarantee that problems resulting from the use of third-party software can be solved. Software using third party is at your own risk.
