Difficulty of a corrupted user profile

After creating the profile, you can copy the files from the existing profile. You must have at least three user accounts on the computer to perform these operations, including the new account that you created.

    Hello

Before you try to uninstall, run msconfig from the line start/search and disable (uncheck) all lines that are responsible for parts of OneCare on tab startup and Services apply / ok and restart, and then try uninstalling again.

  • Firefox crashes on startup in normal mode and safe mode does not start reset mode

    using 26.0 FF
using windows 7 Home premium v 6.1 (last)

My problems started after the loading of 26.0 FF. If I start FF in normal mode it crashes. Same thing when I boot in safe mode. I close FF (while it's hanging) by clicking on the X in the upper right.

When I launch FF in safe mode and click Reset FF, it crashes without FF never appear. I have to stop it using the Task Manager. Off mode reset, I can launch FF in normal mode and everything works fine. However, stopping FF does not close it. I have to use the task of the Manager close. Then I'm at square one when you try to start FF, i.e. reset firefox, crashes, Task Manager, stop, then start FF.

When FF is on, I can open a new window of FF. All my addons are up-to-date. I reinstalled FF 26.0, three or four times.

I deleted the cache and cookies.

I scanned for viruses and rootkits etc. with microsoft security essentials and spybot.

I've been a happy user of FF for over ten years and have never had a problem like this. Any help will be appreciated.

    Thank you!

I think that I fixed it, it gives a trial because he has started to do this on my two PCs.

Go to Options > general tab > start switch / "Show a blank page" and the charges of all good. What I used was 'Show my home page' which is the default page of Firefox with the Logo of Fox and history, Favorites and other options at the bottom.

Find out if a check mark is set to boot in Safe Mode.
Start button > in the search box, type msconfig > press the Enter key > uac prompt > click on Startup > make sure that no checkmark found nowhere > click OK when finished.

Thank you for your a answer...

  • Why I can boot into safe mode with internet connection, use the operating system, etc., but can not open a normal session without password administrator; who got the disabled.

OEM Vista Home Premium. Normal startup does not recognize the password. When you click User icon it says: "your account has been disabled. Please, see your system administrator"I looked in the mirror, but it did not help. Booted, press F8, went in safe mode with network connection. Everything seemed to be there. Surf the internet and then started to ask me why I don't have a password here when I did normal start-up. What is the password? Check "Microsoft Answers", but what I came out which was, I need to reinstall the OS, which I can't do it without a drive anyway.  I thought that I've used it before, I knew the password. This computer has been recently "reinstalled" internal folder 'restore '. Something must happen. A unknown password can be removed from safe mode? Ultimately how reinstall you a clean Vista when all you have is the key to product and no local or OEM support? What would be the difference between a password reset disk and the OS disk.  The two would probably be stored side by side. Not to mention that most of us Dummies want to just surf to buy, and if we can not surf, we cannot buy. Dummies help us get back on the internet, Microsoft. At least take care of this shot.

    Hi PAM,.

In Safe Mode, try to activate the high administrator account http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/windows-vista/enable-the-hidden-administrator-account-on-windows-vista/.  Then log in using account and use it to solve problems with your normal administrator account login via control panel / user accounts / manage other accounts.  Find the one you want and make the appropriate changes to fix it.  If you can't, then you need to address as a corrupt account by using the following procedure:

To fix this use http://windows.microsoft.com/en-AU/windows-vista/Fix-a-corrupted-user-profile.  If this is the only available administrator profile (you must be an administrator to solve this problem), activate the hidden administrator account (HAA) (i.e. what you did above, or you can do this by using these instructions instead: http://www.computerworld.com/s/article/9001970/How_to_access_the_true_Administrator_account_in_Windows_Vista?taxonomyId=17&pageNumber=1.)

Once that is done, don't forget to disable the HAA to save it in case it is necessary once again and for safety reasons (since people often try to hack into systems using this account).  Do NOT use the HAA as your administrator account because if you lose the only administrator on the system account or it is damaged again, then you're watered.

The fact that it says it is disabled gives me to think that you can use the guest or built-in Administrator account already (as normally, you cannot disable an account, but you can with these two which cannot be deleted and only disabled).

The password reset disk is only good if created before that you need and only to restore a password, do not to activate a disabled account.  Another thing that goes beyond passwords here.

A recovery disk allows you to do some advanced options of recovery by booting the disk, but it will help you restore the operating system (or help you with this problem either).

An Installation of Vista genuinve disc (the operating system drive as you seem to be describing) is a disk that contains the operating system.  That, if it is the original disc supplied with the system and is exactly the same as the product OEM key that you must allow you to do a clean OS install (although I would be first backup you'll pretty much lost everything in the process).  The following should help: http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/117366-clean-install-full-version-vista.html.

If you have a factory Conditions or a recovery Partition restore disk, then these are alternatives to a clean install if you don't have this disc.  But the procedure varies according to the manufacturer, make and model of PC.  Most of the manufacturers will allow you to buy these records of restoration (for a fee) If you cannot do it with a recovery Partition cannot create diskettes from the recovery Partition or have no other option.  Visit the support site of the computer for information on this topic, available options, and related costs.

If you cannot enable the built-in Administrator account and cannot access the system in normal mode with this or another administrator account, then I'm afraid a clean install or restore to factory conditions is your only option.

    I hope this helps.

    Good luck!

  • I can only connect to Windows safe mode. I get a blank screen otherwise

Original title: I can only connect to my computer in safe mode. Start windows normally my screen begins to blink on the logon to the black screen. What should I do?

I was told it had something to do with internet explorer and that I need to update my windows, but my computer won't let me.

Safe mode is a number of things.  First, he starts using the clean boot programs needed to operate.  Second, he began to use a screen resolution 'safe' which is supported by all monitors (usually 640 x 480).  Your problem may be due to your video card being assigned to a resolution that your monitor does not support or does not reach.  If it is a recent development, the fastest solution may be to perform a system restore to a time before you had this problem.  You can do safe mode.

Another suggestion is that, after the safe boot mode, change the display resolution (right click Desktop-> properties-> settings tab).

If those who do not resolve your issue, you can use Microsoft System Configurator, msconfig, to choose what programs launch at startup.

  • Connected to the Internet, but can only go in safe mode

As the title says, I am connected to the internet just fine, but I can't navigate to all websites in 'normal' mode but in safe mode, I can sail very well.  It is not browser specific.  I tried IE8, FireFox, Chrome and Safari.

I checked and it has not seen any system of proxies.

I ran the Soloph Anti-Rootkit and it did not find anything.

I ran Malwarebytes and it did not find anything.

I tried to disable not only my firewall, but leaving out of it and ensuring that it did not work.

In normal mode, I can ping and telnet on port 80 very well.  I can ping and telnet names (do a telnet on yahoo.com).  He seems to have no connection problem, but the display of pages on any browser does not work.

I went into msconfig and disabled everything to ensure that there are no interfering.

What makes this weird question, is that I am able to navigate properly in safe mode.

I don't blame Windows itself, but honestly, it started last night, and the only change that's happened to my computer last night, it's that I have installed the new service pack for Windows 7

I really don't want to reformat, unless I am forced because it is an easy way out and if I do that, and this problem happens again, I will never know what is the right solution.

I found the answer.  What happened is that after I've cleaned a virus, something messed up so that my anti-virus and firewall would not start, but the windows for them would be.  When I want to turn them back on, I wouldn't be able to navigate.  Stopping the services and then allowing the firewall and antivirus to start the services themselves, everything is back

  • Can't connect to internet unless the computer is in safe mode with networking

Please, let me apologize first.  This is my first time using this forum and I was not aware of how to create a new thread.  Thank you Steve for helping with this.  Here's my question below:

I have a Desktop Window Vista Home Basic.  I have great internet connection. I can surf the web in SafeMode with network.  However, when I try to access internet in normal mode, I get an error message: cannot display the Page.  When I click on the link to problem diagnose it indicates that the computer detects a connection from home.knology.net, however, there may be a remote firewall blocking the connection.  Firewall systems only 2 that I know are windows and MacAfee and I disabled both of them.  I contacted the ISP and they state it's the computer.  I just bought the computer on 07-02-08. Any help in this matter would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you

    Bridgett
