Can't find/delete Bootcamp Partition

Tried to use bootcamp to create a partition for my copy of windows, that I just got. He was suspended for a while creating the partition, so I force-quit it as several users online said to try to resolve the situation. Tried then to find and delete the partition, he tried to create. Ended up crashing the disk utility or something so I force restarted the computer to see if that helped. Now I can't find the partition on the disk utility at all, it shows the drive as having 1 TB less than expected (the size of the partition, I created or attempted to create), and he does it for some reason, introduce yourself when I press 'alt' on my keyboard on the computer.

Is there a way to delete this partition and try this again without any reformatting my hard drive and restore from backup? I have a time machine backup, I don't want to wait 12 hours for 1 TB of data to be transferred...

Please see the solution in doesn't have windows via bootcamp 8.1 installation .

  • Not entirely deleted Bootcamp partition

Hi, I tried to remove the 10 on my iMac with bootcamp windows partition. In the Mid-process my iMac froze and I had to reboot. Apparently, he deleted enough to make my computer think it is gone, but it's still there and storage is always taken. When I restart my iMac and press option to switch from readers 'Windows' is still there, but it boots just a mistake and will not let me delete anything. In disk utility, it does not show a score of "windows". Bootcamp is also windows to delete not day, he said only: install windows. I tried to fix my readers, I reset my STROLLER and I reinstalled OS X. After some time studying online I found someone say can I have damaged my "partition table", but there was no explanation as to what it is and how to fix it.

On about this Mac, in escrow, he says 1 TB SATA drive but says that the ability is 597 GB.

    Any help is appreciated, thanks!

No matter how much time and places, I'm looking in all the groups, folders, and subfolders in my address book I can not prevent a former address, is no longer valid from one of my correspondents to appear as one of the 'auto fill' choices in my mailbox recipient. I can't find it to remove it!

At first, I tried to remove old ads completely, but after doing this several times (over several days and it complete re-boots), he remained, cancelled, in all the places in my address book! Finally, instead of trying to delete its all occurrences, I have just updated the email address on the box change the Contact of his all occurrences, and that took care of this particular problem.

But I still him popping up with his old address. Where is the list that a contact to hide?

So it seems that you edit an address book, but the next time you run Thunderbird, the changes are cancelled?

To do this, I suggest you specifically create a bad Contact in the address book of suspicious, close Thunderbird, re-open and see if your new Contact is still there.

If this isn't the case, we have demonstrated that the selected address book will not save the changes.

Select the address book in question, go to Tools | Options of and export using the LDIF option.

If the address book affected was the personal address book, search for your profile (see Help |) Troubleshooting information), close Thunderbird, and delete abook.mab.

Similarly, if it was collected addresses, remove history.mab.

In these cases, you will not be allowed to remove the address book broken itself, where the above actions to remove its data file. Other address books, which is defined by the user, peut be deleted.

If you have removed one of the two above mentioned address books, and their associated data files, the address book will be automatically re-created by Thunderbird when you run then. You will need to import and create a new address book, but you can then move its content. For this reason, avoid giving the address book imported the same name as an address book existing.

Now you can import the data (Tools |) Import) the LDIF file and after that, if necessary, move (drag) the Contacts imported into the favorite.

  • How can I find deleted windows printer

Deleted printerby windows error, where can I find to reinstall

    Hello

Thanks for posting this question in the Microsoft Community.

I imagine the inconvenience that you are experiencing. I'll certainly try and help you in the matter of fixing.

You can try uninstalling the printer and then reinstall them.

    Step 1. Uninstalling the printer.

    1. click on start, point to settings.

    2. click on Control Panel.

    3. double-click on printers.

    4. click on the Lexmark printer and then click on Delete on the file menu.

    Click Yes.

On the file menu, click Close.

    Step 2.

    Installation of the printer.

Make sure that the USB cable is connected to your computer and your printer. Peripheral USB work differently than older devices and generally need to have
drivers installed before you connect the appliance.

    1. If you have a Setup disk, insert it into the drive. There is an installer provided, whether to run or run here. Follow his instructions, and it should take care of the installation of your printer in a few moments.

    2. If you don't have an installer, plug the USB cable into your computer and your printer. This should trigger the Add New Hardware Wizard.

    3. click Next and select search for the best driver for your device. Click Next.

4 uncheck all options except specific location. Click Browse. Navigate to the disk, CD or the directory where your printer drivers. Click OK, and then click Next twice.

Note: You can download some drivers on the web. Visit the web site of the manufacturer of your printer or see where to find the driver updates for my

    Windows computer?

    5. After all the files are copied, click Finish.

    6. turn on your printer. Windows should detect the presence of the printer and complete the installation. If the option to print a test page is available, do. This will

    confirm the installation. Click Finish.

You can also go through the article and check if it helps.

  • Bootcamp partition disappeared after fdisk commands

    Hello

I have a serious problem caused by my own stupidity,

I tried to resize my partition, bootcamp, with no success, of course.

    Here is what happened,

I resized the MAC OS X partition and made a new 100 GB. Then I tried to restart Windows that did not work.

A black screen appears not saying no device found Boot... Insert and press a key.

I rebooted to mac OS X and searching the forums, I ended up find a thread of a few years.

He said try a few commands to disc, I did, it didn't work. Then I have a little "creative / reckless" and tried between the two commands.

I guess I deleted or seriously damaged my MBR, although it could be a TPG. I do not know.

Now, I can't see my Bootcamp partition in the finder.

I see the size of the partition in the disk utility application, if I look at the full hard disk partition scheme

It's the score 'Naamloos' is where bootcamp has been stored and as you can see I can't access it or what so ever.

However in the terminal, I can see the partition

My question is, if I can restore this partition?

And if not, I can see the data on that partition?

A lot of work not saved is there and final exams are almost!

I'm sorry for the post probably not correct 'according to the rules of the forums"and the faulty use of the language and the incorrect spelling.

  • Problem loading my BootCamp Partition after the partitioning of the disk again

    Hello

I have a problem that I can't find everywhere are talking about here. Everything worked well. My BootCamp partition ran out of space. I wanted to increase the size of the partition, because I really have a lot of space on the Mac side.

I ended up searching and following the procedure here:

    https://discussions.Apple.com/message/24377993#24377993

"1) back up all your files (optional, but highly recommended)."

    (2) using the disk utility OSX resize MacintoshHD partition unallocated space leaving as much as you need to add to the bootcamp partition.

    (3) set the Bootcamp startup disk and restart the mac.

    (4) in Bootcamp with Windows running launch Mini Partition tool and select the bootcamp partition.

    (5) choose the option "expand" to extend the partition using all unallocated space.

    (6) the program prompt restart you the mac to apply the task, the cause is not possible while the partition is mounted and windows running.

7-restart the mac and then automatically Mini Partition tool will do the job a form of "graphics like msdos. »

I'm in step 3, and that's when I started to have a problem. I resized my Mac partition to have about 100 less GB. Did step number 3, but I got this black screen that says something along the lines of "bootable device found - no. Insert the diskette and press any key any." You know, the message that is displayed when the software that allows the system to boot is not found.

I had to restart, and then press and hold the option key. It's weird. My Mac partition looks great, but the BootCamp partition isn't here. I loaded the side Mac upward, and I can still see my Bootcamp partition in the finder window. I can go in, see all the files and everything. I always choose Windows as my boot target drive. It just won't load.

    How can I fix?

1 Please take the Mini tool. It's a total disaster. Should be prohibited on Macs.

2 Please after the release of the following OSX Terminal commands. Do not change the disk partitioning any further.

    diskutil list

    Cs diskutil list

    sudo TPG - vv - r see the/dev/disk0

    sudo fdisk/dev/disk0

The "sudo" commands will prompt to enter your password, and there do not appear to come back. You can also see caution against improper use 'sudo' and the potential loss of data due to an "abuse" of the order.

  • Win 7 Pro, FX6100, 8 GB of ram, 250 GB ssd; cannot find the system partition

Basics are there.  It blocks from the tent to set up partitions.  I am giving all of the 250 GB SSD to use as seems it and it is just lost.  It does work with no partitions, partition of the entire disk.  He didn't tell me what he wants.  And error messages make no sense.

They are like: (and my response)

cannot find the system partition (do a stupid)
Can not find the installation partition (crikey, I gave you the entire disk, make one)

Talk about mega-frustration.  How about a useful error message and some useful ways to respond.

    >:-((

If the ssd is not recognized in the first part of the installation process, as a location to install win on, you need to check the manual of the card mother about all the necessary bios for its port settings, or weather, you need to install any third-party disk controller.

And if it's a new ssd, must not contain any partition table, unless you have prepared this ssd when you started in one of your other installations win, that can be part of your problem.

  • Invisible BootCamp partition, I can't access or delete!

So to start with, I try to install 10 Windows from a USB on my computer with bootcamp (I use OS X elcappitan). So, I followed the normal steps for installing windows via bootcamp 10 as get the iso file on my usb key (which is 8 GB) and make the score for her. But after having going through this process (and once I open the installer of windows 10) I get to the part where you have to choose your partition to install windows 10 on and I do not see the "BOOTCAMP" partition.

So I cancel the configuration and return to my main user and when I enter disk utility, THERE AGAIN, I don't see the partition, Bootcamp done for me! It stinks because I put a good 90 GB on my 500 GB hard drive in that partition.

One thing is that when my bootcamp was just about to finish creating the partition, I received a message for a fraction of a second saying something like "your mac has / restarts unexpectedly" or "without cause." He wasn't there long so I don't take everything, but I want of maybe my mac restarted to "a reason any ' during the last seconds of the creation of the partition, which makes the incomplete partition and/or currupt? If so, and for this reason my 90 GB partition is invisible, how would I be able to find it and remove it to do a fresh reinstall?

That's what my main hard drive looks like atm... sound literally saying that my Macintosh HD occupies 100% of my HDD 500 GB, yet when you look at how much he was in fact, it is said that it occupies only 409,53 GB of space! Which proves that the Bootcamp partition is STILL too much space on my drive hard but at the same time, not to show. My main goal would be just to delete this 90 GB bootcamp partition entirely.

Im very bored with cela and essentially spent a WHOLE DAY trying to fix it myself with other similar solutions, online. Hope someone could give me a solution or even just something to try to correct this :/

    Thanks for reading my report.

The alternative method faster, simpler and more secure to reclaim your disk space is

1 backup OSX and all of your files - use Time Machine to back up or restore your Mac - Apple Support .

    2. boot into Internet recovery (CMD + Opt + R) - OS X: on OS X Recovery - Apple Support .

    3. click on Utilties-> disk utility and erase your entire internal drive.

    4. restoration of OSX and your files - use Time Machine to back up or restore your Mac - Apple Support .

This requires another external drive that can accommodate TM backup - backup disks that you can use with Time Machine - Apple Support .

It takes a while to do it this way, but it is less compared to the diskutil methods labour intensive.

  • Bootcamp deleted missing partition, but can not recover the partition space

Tried to install 10 Windows via Bootcamp on my Mac. First, I formatted the bootcamp partition. Then I got the following message: could not create a new partition or locate an existing one. For more information, see the Setup logs files.

I tried five times with Bootcamp installed Windows 10. Then I advice to delete the partition and create a new. So I did. Still did not work. When I rebooted my mac, 50 GB missing as you can see here:

I tried to restore the partition, but there is no possibility to do so, as you can see here:

I read so many posts that I don't know what to do anymore. I don't mind factory reset my macbook, but it will restore my lost partition as I probably only erase the 450 GB instead of the 500 GB SSD?

I read in several messages (this one in general: Bootcamp Partition missing during startup) that this information might be required, so I added from the outset:

    diskutil list:

    Cs diskutil list:

    sudo TPG - vv - r see the/dev/disk0:

    sudo fdisk/dev/disk0:

I hope someone can help me restore my 50 GB, I lost. Even once, I do not fear factory reset my macbook if that's the best way to solve this problem!
