  • I try to install Google Earth and its failure and I get an error message: 0 x 80070002, how can I fix?

I try to install Google Earth on my Windows Vista Edition home premium and its failure and I get an error message: 0 x 80070002, how can I fix?

The error message indicates "file not found" - which often means a bad download.

Try another download of Google Earth - if the operation fails with the error message, then...

There are a few things you can try to solve this problem: -.

    type in the search box
    CMD. EXE
Right-click on the single file that is
    Select run as administrator
-the elevated command prompt window should appear
    At the command prompt, type
    CHKDSK C: /R
    and press the Enter key
We'll tell you that the drive is locked and the CHKDSK runs the next time he started - press Y and restart. The chkdsk command will take a few hours depending on the size of the disk, so be patient!

Once executed, the command CHKDSK Windows should start normally (possibly after a second auto) - then run the SFC

SFC - SFC System - Instructions
    Click the Start button
    type in the search box
    CMD. EXE
Right-click on the single file that is
    Select run as administrator
-the elevated command prompt window should appear
    At the command prompt, type

    SFC/SCANNOW

    and press the Enter key
Wait for that analysis at the end - make a note of any error messages - and then restart.

    Try installation again

  • Cannot install Google earth. Error in the administrator account: "your system administrator set policies against the installation of this program.

Original title: why not my Windows XP SP3 machine allows installation of any product from google?

I am running Windows XP SP3 and what-so-ever did not want to upgrade to Vista or Win7.
Now I try to install google earth, what is happening is the setup.exe for downloading google earth data, but will not perform the installation process.

I get an error message saying that "the installation failed, try again."
So I asked google if he could understand that out and they were no help, so I decided to use the administrator account on my computer to install it, what was interesting on this topic (and disturbing) was that after running the same setup.exe file, a different error came up saying that "your system administrator set policies against installing this program" (or something like that)
now, I checked everything in "Political system" under administrative options, but still no help.
    Can someone help me please?
    Derek "Rick."

Well, it seems that the program has been installed, it was not recognized as a program in one of the directories, I have just fallen on the directory with the program Google earth work. The directory was hidden in the ~ temp file deep inside the C:\ drive

  • If I use Windows Live/Microsoft with IE9 as my browser, am I only allowed to have a browser? Can I install Google Chrome or Safari w/o being in breach of contract Microsoft?

I recently installed the Google toolbar & I guess that, in doing so, to include a Google account. I really want to install Google Chrome long w/maintaining my & Microsoft's Windows Live account. I started having problems hotmail w / my account & I'm still (however I have found that I am not alone in having problems w / their Hotmail accounts). I got a notice to choose my Internet Service. I thought that it meant to get rid of the Google account, so I did. So can I install Google, Google Chrome or Safari w / my Windows/Microsoft collaboration account? One of the reasons that I've been interested in Google was to have a YouTube account, apparently, you can't have one without the other. I heard that Google Chrome's speed. I'm not unhappy w/Windows Microsoft Live.and / however, idon't want to get wrong ideas. I would like just some clarification on that.  Thanks, as always, dceb2

What Microsoft contract? Ain't no such animal. Install any browser you want.

  • When trying to install Google Earth I get error 1603. How to fix?

When trying to install Google Earth I get error 1603.  How to fix?

Theres a few things to try in this post - https://productforums.google.com/forum/#! topic/cards/TGgdOcs4PL0 specifically the bit - "the file offered on the main download page is a small installation of the file that at the launch, connects to the internet and download and install the full program. "If you have problems with this, I would normally advise you try the complete installation file this page,... etc."

that someone later claimed contributed to them and also something to check.

If this does not help, I hope someone else will be "the chip" soon.

  • Is there a Virus fake Google Earth?

I have installed google earth on my mac several months ago.  He did not appear in internet applications or plugins.  Since then, I have tried to delete it, but can't find it.  It has been present in Safari under plugins.  I have disabled the plugin, but I would delete the whole program.  Anyone heard of a googleearth fake horse of Trojan or a Virus?  Anyone have any suggestions on how to find and delete?

Sorry, I meant when you look under the files in the library and go to internet, file plugins, the google earth plugin is not listed.  Google Earth is also not listed under applications anywhere.  I know it's there, because when I start Safari and go to the plugins section, it appears.  How can I get it my computer?
