Can't listen to the radio stations in Windows Media Player on Windows XP

I use Windows Media Player on Windows XP, and for the last few days I could not to listen to the music of my favorite radio stations, which I did for over a year now. I don't know if it's because I added a plugin when it prompted me to do until I select another radio station. Now it does not play any station at all. Need help please.

Hello

1. do you get an error message when you try to broadcast through radio in Windows Media Player?
2. is the Internet works fine?

Hope this information helps.

  • I can play most of the radio stations on my iPad or iPhone without joining Apple music. Is this for real?

I used to be able to listen to different radio stations on my desk and my devices, now when I try, I keep getting asked to join Apple music. It's really unfortunate if you now join, because quite simply, it does not work for the lifestyle of each. I am a runner and a love downloading songs in the selections for the races, but with Apple music, the songs will not play on my iPod if I'm running... because not WiFi. So it is not simply to give meaning to join. really kind of *.

Yes, it's true. You can always put the music on your iPod. Try to Radium from the App Store or Radium 3.1.3 of MacUpdate. *

  • How to adjust the sound to play continuously when you listen to the Radio station

When I play a radio station on computer it keeps cutting off after that about 15 minutes and then I have to move the mouse to start the music.  How to adjust the sound so that it can play continuousley?  Thank you

Check the control panel | Power options and try to disable the screen saver and see if that fixes the problem.  If not, try to address some of the other power options to keep things to turn off automatically if the computer is not in use (if it's just to play music with no user interactivity, and which is considered to be not used by power options).

  • Can't listen to the radio online streaming with Windows Media Player

Online Radio Web sites that use Windows Media Player - opens the player in a new window, but instead of buffering, said he plays but not output / sound. Certainly not security/pop up/firewall issue. Windows Media Player works fine CD playback, etc.

    Hello

then, you definitely have a machine which both sound and you can establish a Internet. I think that it s a problem of pure mediaplayer (softwareproblem).

    You have the following options:
    1. reinstall your mediaplayer or update.
    2. install another software mediaplayer like winamp or some other jukebox
    3. .. no other options

Give some feedback, then maybe I can help you with your problem. ;)

    See you soon

  • How can I put a radio station on my Media Player?

I would like to have BBC Radio 2 put in my media library, how can I do?

It is a bit of a bodge, I'm sure there is an easier way, and I hope that someone will let us know. But using WMP in W7 Starter:

    1. Goto here - http://www.windowsmedia.com/radioui/home.aspx
    2. Click on the "search for radio station" and in the search box, enter BBC.
    3. find BBC radio 2 (or whatever) in the list and click the link to listen.
    4. I use Opera as my browser and Im invited to download a file called "66d4e6f6-621c-4a82-a952-a63f91efad61". Save it to your desktop.
    5. Create a folder somewhere (I called mine Radio and put it in "My Documents") and move the file there.
    6. Open Windows Media Player and click the library 'other media '.
    7. Drag the above file in this library, and it appears in your list of reading as "BBC Radio 2".
    8. Double-click to play the Radio 2 in WMP.

Is that what you want? (I hope).

As I say, I bet that there is a pretty easy way to do, and I hope that someone will be "smart". But in the meantime.

  • Impossible to listen to the music already purchased on Media Player.

original title: Windows Media Player 11 & files music wma.

I bought music online in a few years ago wma format and cannot play in the WMP11.  The supplier said they switched to mp3 format, and WMP 11 does not offer the license management tool. They recommended I download WMP 9, burn the songs to an audio CD in audio CD format, and extract them using WMP.  I tried to download WMP 9 to see if it works, but my computer says that the program is blocked due to problems of compatibiltiy.  Is there something I can do?

Maybe... just maybe... the following freeware pourrait

When your WMA files are imported into Freemake,

  • Why is it I can't watch a video and listen to a radio station online at the same time?

Using Windows Media Player, why can't I watch a video and listen to a radio station online at the same time? I have Windows 7 64-bit and 64-bit Windows Media Player, which works very well at any one task at a time. However, I'm missing something (which would not be the first time) or it is lacking in the multitasking features. For example, I have few video clips on my local PC, came a LAN webcam as an attachment in mp4 format. Normally, I can simply click on one of them in the e-mail (for example, Outlook), or after you save it as a file in a folder, and then the Media Player opens and he plays in a small video player window, because I associated with this type of file with Media Player. I also use the Media Player regularly to play music from an online internet radio station. In this case I simply open Media Player, click Media Guide, Internet Radio-click and choose one of the stations. When I do it, Media Player begins playing the music.

However, the problem occurs when I want to watch one of these videos, while the music is already playing. If I click on one of the video files that I have used to do, the new media player immediately focus, but nothing else happens. The music that plays continues to play, but no video window opens, displaying the video.  Why not? It seems to me, on the one hand, that these two functions are quite disdinct and the small video window does not resemble the other interface on Media Player in which I select the station. In addition, in these videos there is no sound occurring, as if that might have inteferred with the sound of music. So, why I don't see videos of these files while listening to music?

    Hello

    Welcome to the Microsoft community.

According to the description you want Windows media player to act as a multifunction program.

I'm sorry to say that Windows media player is designed to play simple music or video at a time.

  • can not play the radio station, but sometimes it plays very well

I noticed that I can not always the old Jill FM which is now Playlist 92.7 FM. Happened to me before that far from Jill FM, they changed. When I try to play live, sometimes it will play, but other times I get a pop up that sayscan not initialize the built-in player. Please press STOP and PLAY retry.

But sometimes, it plays very well! That is what it is?

    Hello

    ·        What program do you use to listen to the radio?

    ·        Outside this station, you are able to play other stations without any problem?

I suggest you play another station and check if the problem persists.

If you use Internet Explorer, then I suggest you delete temporary files and cookies and check if the problem persists. Follow the steps mentioned in the articles below.

I suggest to install the latest Adobe flash player on the system and check if the problem is resolved.

Also, I would say to contact the Radio station support for assistance.

    Thanks and regards.

  • Cannot advance songs on the Radio stations on TV4 from Apple?

Just set up Apple TV 4 and according to the question I can't skip songs on Radio stations. I pay for the Apple's music and do not get ads. Is this a bug/limitation of current when you use the Apple TV 4 radio station? Reduced some of the enjoyment.

    Thank you

Play a little and it seems that the problem is with the remote control Apple TV 4. Right click or by scanning won't pop. The old Apple Remote works, the works of button Remote iOS App and right click Harmony remote works. Fortunately I realized now that tell Siri to "Ignore" the distance of ATV4 also works.

Hope this helps someone else who cannot know the answer at first, couldn't find it when I searched.
