Can't see bios

Hi all

Help, please!

I think that I have problems with the PCI Express card, I went into the BIOS and chose the on the graphics of the disabled the option PCI card. Now when I boot I just get a blank screen to watch! I don't remember exactly what I did because I can't see the BIOS screen.

My PC is HP Media Center m7000 m7755UK version. CZX707MRSJ S/N, running VISTA

Thanks in advance for any help.

Hello

Your PC is listed as having a 300W Power Supply Unit, which does not limit the choices a bit.  However the Nvidia GT440 specifications would be Ok with this and an example of the map is available here.

The only thing that I would recommend when ordering this device or a similar card is just to check with the retailer that the card is suitable for a PC with a power of 300W specifications vary.

Kind regards

  • 15 - B137TU can't see BIOS / POST on HDMI

    Hello

Picked up a 15-B137TU with a broken screen.  I want to install Linux on this machine, but I don't see the POST, the BIOS or boot on HDMI - the diplsay selection screen comes to only live once the Windows login screen will appear.

The grid Im using is off my desktop computer and can show the BIOS and the POST on the wide screens, so I know it's in the refresh of the screen / resolution range.

I removed the broken Panel so the internal monitor isn't pulgged and more, and I tried hittng F4 / Fn + F4 to change the display, but that makes no difference either.

Is it possible to get the screens of BIOS and POST working on HP laptop, HDMI on this (or any)?  A quick search on Google shows it is a fairly common problem, but I'm yet to find a solution.

    See you soon.

    Edit: Wrong spelling

I don't think that any who will undergo this guide.

Suur BIOS, POST - my humble opinion will not be displayed on the external screen. They work with minimal generic display drivers that are capable of internal display lighting only. For the HDMI display connected to the work, the Windows & additional system drivers should load.

You need to fix the computer screen.

  • Can't see BIOS UEFI more Windows 8 after formatting hard drive

After formatting my hard drive, I don't see the opportunity to get into the BIOS/UEFI firmware anymore. It has disappeared from the troubleshooting Windows 8.1. It happened because I had to reinstall Windows because I wanted to put Windows on the SSD drive, that I adapted. Firstly tried to transfer files to Windows from the HARD drive that went successfully but my problem was trying to get the HP BIOS so he can start, he had no option as I saw in the other BIOS, select the name of the SSD drive and turn it on just for 1 St boot, (the SSD has been installed properly so she did state in the BIOS on other things and in the windows to) the only thing that he had in this BIOS is a command to start menu I dragged the SSD to the first boot. Windows restarted and it wouldn't boot from SSD yet, so I put it in legacy mode that came to the top with my SSD info to start first, but when I saved these settings and rebooted Windows it says has no disc or can't find windows. So that's how I got where I am now and had to reinstall Windows to get it working again. Can't find away to get the BIOS/UEFI on windows 8 Troubleshooting menu option more?

    Hello

The way most simple and easiest way to solve your dilemma to use the HP recovery media to build on the SSD system use the same SATA port that is used by the original Windows 8 boot drive. I know that this procedure works, at least on the PC that I used.

I'm not a fan of 'cloning' of hard disks to boot HP UEFI active.  There are simply too many problems. Using the HP with a SSD recovery holder sized to accept all the original HP recovery system. This includes not user data. Then use your original hard drive as a device of emergency start and space remaining for the storage of data.

  • NB100 - can't see the SD card in the BIOS

Anyone know why I can't see my 16 GB SD card in the bios?
It loads up as sdb1 when the computer is started, if it is recognized as a hard drive.

Have discovered that it is the standard for many of the Atom based Netbooks. Still don't know why

  • Seagate drive in the BIOS but can't see it in the file manager

Earlier this week, I installed a Solid State Drive as my boot drive. It works very well. I want to use 2 TB Seagate that came with my Inspiron 3847 as backup devices (slave) and I also want to take 10 Windows out of it. I can see the drive in device (drive 1) Manager and in the BIOS (SATA 2), but I can't see it in the file manager so I can reformat the drive. This particular model (ST2000DM001-1ER64) has no jumpers to set it as a slave drive. Seagate said it is automatic. I am stuck as to how I solve this problem. Any help is appreciated. Thank you!

    Hi ssd user,.

    Happy new year!

There is no such thing as master or slave with SATA drives. Try to go to disk management, search your drive and check if a drive letter has been attributed to it. I suspect that you must select a drive letter, then it should appear in the file Explorer.

  • Satellite A200-12 x PSAECE: can't see the STRANGE in my computer

    Hi all

After using my toshiba recovery cd, I lose the CD/DVD-ROM drive, what's wrong?
The laptop works fine, except that on this issue, I can't see the drive on my computer and equipment, and if I press the eject button I have no answer to the reader, even the amber does ' t see the light.

I have Toshiba A200-12 x PSAEC (PSAECE) with Windows Vista 32 bit.

Hope someone can help me please!

    Thank you

    Hello

I think that Akuma means remove the STRANGE of the Bay of notebooks, then plug it in again.

In any case, in my opinion you should first check if the reader of CD/DVD (ODD) was recognized in the BIOS, and maybe you can also try to boot from the CD/DVD drive to check the functionality.

If it will work, the connection is ok.

In this case, I would recommend removal of the upper and lower registry filters.

Check the MS doc for more details:

  • Satellite P100 - 387 (PSPA3E) - how can I see the full 4 GB of RAM?

    Hello.

I installed 4 GB of RAM (2x2gb) on my laptop. After that, I see in the BIOS (version 4.40) 4 GB, but 32 bit of openSUSE 11.1 OS I see only 3 GB. I know that 32 bit OS does not support the 4 GB of RAM.

I try to boot from openSUSE 11.1 x86_64 live CD and can see only 3 GB of RAM.

How can I see full 4 GB of RAM?

And what is shown in the BIOS? Total amount of 4 GB?

    Hello

Shut down the laptop by holding down the key SHIFT left click Shutdown to temporarily prevent a hybrid boot.

Now on TAP the ESC key as soon as you press the power button to see if it will launch the Start Menu.  If this is the case, select f10 to open the bios menu.

  • How can I access BIOS?

    Title: original passport / BIOS

Does not start with Passport attached to the USB port...  Said to eliminate "USB boot" from the BIOS.  How can I access BIOS?  The support fellow WD told me to push "F10" at the start, but it just sent me multiple choice starter.

Depends on the brand and model of your system. When the initial screen, you should see similar instructions to "Press F1 to enter setup". F1 is just one example. It might be F2 or DEL or any other key. You disable and then boot from a usb device. The problem should be solved.

  • Can't see installed and shared printer

I can't see my hp printer installed and shared on a new Lenovo A58e ThinkVantage Desktop PC with windows XP from ThinkPad running windows XP.

I have set up working groups as well, appropriate manually and by the network installation wizard.

I have a checked and made sure that the file and printer sharing are enabled in the network adapter properties page.

I checked in the Toolbox of Lenovo and it says that the file and printer sharing is enabled, so the printer is shared also.

I also disabled McAfee firewall and Windows Firewall.

NOTE: I met a similar problem before with ThinkPad Laptops, when the file and printer sharing would not stay active in the properties of the device, found the problem being to think software, specific to 'Think access', the software kept turning off files and printers, sharing, so I allowed him by the profile of the software Manager, and all laptops could see file sharing and printer.  However I don't see any 'Think access' software, just the 'Lenovo' Toolbox

    Thanks for your time, everyone.

go to the network properties and install the IPX/XPS/Net bios strictly only for printer sharing network card only.

  • Can't see printer to the Printers folder & devices

I do not see my HP 6 p printer in the devices folder & printers but it shows in all applications when you print.  I had it installed & tried to uninstall so now it is not visible, but apparently the driver still exists somewhere.  How can I find the driver and remove it so I can reinstall the printer properly

most likely the printer is correctly installed.  If the parallel port is configured in the BIOS of the machine as the printer SPP is classified as part of the machine.  Right click on computer you.  If one of the options of the menu's properties of the printer which is where it's at.  You can configure the BIOS of the machine to the EPP.  I think that it will work with this device.
