  Dear community,

  I installed the latest version of BIOS Toshiba offers for Windows Vista (v.1.80 21/08/07) and I'm running on Windows 7 on a Satellite A200 PSAECE.

  The fan is very VERY strong. I've heard talk of a solution would be to return to a previous version of the BIOS but I can't find it anywhere.

I made a terrible mistake 2 days ago and updated the BIOS on the computer of the Toshibas website to v2.50. fan began acting very strangely that he starts every time that runs for 20-25 seconds 30 seconds later stops again which is really annoying.

  I have Toshiba A200-28 s, bought in the summer 2008 the Russia.

  I suggest that you follow the updates to the BIOS in Windows XP Home edition. The reason v5.x upgrades are available (and say that the BIOS is only compatible with laptop computers equipped with Windows XP) because they are updated BIOS to allow installation of Windows Vista.

  If you do not want to upgrade to Windows Vista, stay with the WXP BIOS in the range v1.x - v2.x (also check whether or not the BIOS is specifically for Windows XP).

  If I understand your question, the Satellite A200 recognizes all disc correctly and can burn the CD as well but the OTHER computer recognize the CD in a vacuum.

  Hello everyone, my Toshiba Satellite A200 1 GB brought 80º C on CPU, GPU and start making problems at this temperature, and I hear that the fan is not at its maximum when that happens.

  Have you checked for dust in the radiator?

  With the laptop off, use compressed air to blow the dust out of the heat sink. Spray the air into the unit where the Air goes out usually.

  If there is excessive dust accumulation, you may need to get an ASP to disassemble the laptop to remove dust properly, then refresh the thermal grease.

  Now, when I took it out it was a 120 GB so I bought another Seagate 320 GB hard drive to replace it.

  I got a Satellite A200-1CK and stop my CPU cooling fan. Not that my CPU is not getting enough cooling. But when I use my laptop to school for use for OS virtualization, it heats up, and the cooler will not turn.

  Please check the BIOS settings, but on my A200 I can t see anything that can help.
