  What is the status of the WLAN if you check in network connections?
  The WiFi network is always on?
  If not then the WiFi connection turned off and I wouldn't be worried by the fact that ConfigFree says that it s THERE.

  Of course, you can disable the wireless network adapter in Device Manager. Just mark the Wlan card under network adapters and turn off your device. But believe me; It s enough to do using FN + F8 ;)

  I recommend that you install the latest Wlan driver for the wireless network adapter.
  Also reinstall the VAP (value added package) that controls the Wlan/turn off the feature.

  My older Toshiba has a power switch WiFi.

  My new Toshiba has a WiFi switch above the F keys, although I do not know which varies

  I gave in and doesn't have an updated system. I hesitated because of the number of items that would be removed, but did not find the solution easy here I did anyway. It would seem that the updates that have been installed recently was the culprit that after completing the update and reboot the system, my wireless icon is back and I can again connect to the internet via hotspot on my cell phone.   Usually, you can cut the speakers in the Windows sound settings. Go to control panel > hardware and sound > sound.

  Now, choose the recording tab as Akuma written and click Properties > listen. On this tab, you can change the volume and disable the microphone set.
