  My laptop is only about 2 years old and is pre-installed with Windows 7, and now I think of the upgrade that one to 8.1 Windows also.

  What I want to know is that if compatible can install Windows 8.1 since the discs I already have and use the same product key to activate Windows 8.1 on my laptop, even though I already used it on the desk?
