Can Tecra M8 - I install a VGA card?

Hi, I was a little disappointed with my purchase of my laptop Tecra M8 because most of the games don't work correctly. My question is weather or not I can install a VGA card to make the games such as Call of Duty 4, Warcraft Frozen Throne and World of Warcraft to work properly on my laptop. I would appreciate a response thank you.

Also if you can suggest a model of graphics card, it would be useful. Thank you.

This is not possible because the graphics chip you have is soldered on the motherboard and t can be exchanged.
It is perhaps useful for you:

Furthermore, a Tecra laptop is not designed for games.

Good bye

  • Can Tecra A6 - I install Windows 7?

Does anyone know if the Tecra A6 (A60E) is OK with the new Windows 7 RC?

Why you should not be able to install Windows 7 on Tecra A6?

So I think that you can install Windows 7 but I n t understand why so many people want to install a beta version of the operating system on its laptops. I mean a beta version of the operating system can cause problems and not run stable under Vista or XP. In addition the new Windows doesn t have features they are important and everybody needs this.

For example, I have two laptops from Toshiba. With Vista and XP, but I prefer the laptop with XP. I think it s the operating system more stable I have ever had.

  • Can Tecra A10 - I install 1 TB hard drive?

    Dear forum

I think put a 1 TB of HARD drive in the laptop. Please anyone know this model can take any hard drive 1 TB laptop please
Also this laptop can have 2 mounted hard drives please
    Best wishes

Unfortunately, this kind of info is not found on the official pages of Toshiba and there is not any official document on these upgrades so that you can hope that someone with the same machine may publish specific experiences.

As far as I know this laptop model shipped with HDD of 250 GB max. Of course you can enhance it with the other HARD drive. I think that up to 500 GB should not be problematic.
Let's see what other people will write about it.

One more thing: what operating system you want to install on this new HARD drive? Original recovery image?

  • How can I use DirectX or DirectDraw on a VGA card?

    Hello everyone.

I'm Justin, or LTJKilla. Recently a good friend of mine gave me a laptop it would sell. The laptop has some age on it, but I was able to put Windows 7 on it. The laptop works, (when he wants) and I have no problem playing games like Diablo 1, StarCraft, Quake and many older games in this regard. For this reason I went and bought Diablo 2, however, I can not play, because I don't have DirectX or DirectDraw on my computer. I tried to install, but it doesn't allow me to do. After some research, I found that I use a VGA video card or a standard VGA card. After some research MORE, I used a program called dxdiag. He said that these are not available. Help, please? I don't want my $15 to get lost. :)
    Thanks in advance.

Win7 actually installs with three versions of DX - 9, 10 and 11, but did not have all the
files. The best way to update is to use the Web Installer. This will install only the "disappeared".
    DX files.
The full Installer Redistributable (June2010) is the best option if there are corrupted files as it
    replace all the DX files.

Direct links to the two options-
    Download details: DirectX end-user performance

Download details - Microsoft Download Center - DirectX Redist (June 2010)

-If you have not yet installed the 'important' updates of Windows you should do the same,
particularly in sp1, but there are several other related games updated.

-Diablo 2 also needs a fix for the problems of color. The fix below also makes higher resolutions.
It still can't help as integrated graphics will not Open GL (Intel HD does not), but if
Diablo runs so you can still be OK.

    Glide3 to OpenGL Wrapper

-The following is a list of the Direct X .dll you when files are updated.
Go to Windows / System 32 folder (and SysWOW64 if you have 64-bit).
    They are in alphabetical order and will start with d3dx9 - 24 43 >. Then d3dx10 - 33 43 > & finally d3dx11 - 42 43 >.
    There was also - d3d9, d3d10 and d3d11 these come before the D3Dcompilers - 33 > 43.There are also three new XInput1 - 1 > 3.
There are more files DX, but these are most of the graphs related to Direct X .dll

  • Tecra M2 - update VGA card

How are you?? I have toshiba tecra M2 and it's a real neat machine, I was wondering what can I upgrade my 64 MB graphics card 128? and also the speed of treatment?

    Thank you

As much as I know this notebook applies to a graphics card nVIDIA GeForce FX Go5200 with 32 MB or 64 MB of video ram. But you cannot upgrade the video card or the speed of the CPU. The only thing you can do is buy devices such as hard disks in option or memory Modules.
For more information, you can try to contact the service partner.

  • Can satellite L350-159 - I install a graphics card?

Hello everyone, I have a friend to check what graphics card, I had the other day, I play the games and noticed that the graphics are not fantastic. He checked and then told me that I don't actually have a proper graphics card!

I'd be happy to address them, but is possible to enter the laptop to install a graphics card? and if so, what type of graphics card would you recommend? Some are big enough, and I'm not sure that they could fit. I noticed a few panels on the bottom of my laptop which can be unscrewed - one of those which lead to a place to put a graphics card?

    Thanks for the help,

The problem is that the L-series is not designed for games.

The graphics card is an Intel GMA X 3100, which means that the graphics chip is attached to the motherboard.
There is no separate in this model graphics card, and the integrated graphic card cannot be replaced.

The only solution would be to sell this laptop and buy a model to higher return with an ATI or nVidia graphics chip, for example the Satellite P300 or P500 or maybe series A300 or A500.

    Thank you..

What is the error message you get when you try to install the driver?

You have downloaded the correct driver for your graphics card? The correct driver for your laptop is mentioned in the link below: & LC = da & CC = DK & DLC = da & sw_lang = & Product = 5353028 #N6506

Please download the softpaq and try to install this. (In case you can not install this in normal mode, try to start in safe mode (by pressing F10 during during the boot process and select "safe mode") and then check if you can install the driver.)

You can also download and install the latest version of the BIOS from the following link: & swItemId = ob_135192_1 & swEnvOid = 4059

    This should help.

If you still have problems, please post your error message here.

In my XP box, I installed 2 video card that has an output of 2 x 2. So now, I have 4 monitors with my single xp box. I want to join another 2 monitors to him. How can I do? Is it possible to attach?

I want to join 6 screens with a single CPU.

    Hi DebBiswas,

You can attach as much monitor you need, but it depends on the material if it supports or plug another video on the computer card.

If you use SLI / Crossfire, the system must support more than 2 cards.

When I install Win 7 its market not recognize intel Amd card or in Device Manager the task intel and Amd card are named a standard VGA card, please help

    Please reread my post above...

DO not install the driver from Intel. It is the graphics card Intel for laptops with only models.

The AMD driver installed two video drivers as he says on the information page of the driver AMD, which I copied and pasted below...

This package provides the AMD graphics driver high definition (HD) and Catalyst Control Center for models of laptop computers that are running an operating system supported. For laptops equipped with switchable graphics modes, this package includes drivers for two graphics (GPU). Switchable graphics allow users to switch between a graphical power mode (normally used under the power of the battery) and a mode of graphics performance. If the video output high-definition multimedia interface (HDMI) is supported, this package also installs the HDMI Audio Driver.

    It's weird.

My last suggestion and I hope it works for you, install the amd driver directly from AMD and see if it works better than the one on the support page and the driver of your PC. 7-64

Also, try to install the latest chipset driver and see if that works too.
