  Hi hmcandrew,

  As far as I know, you need to require one of the ASA on the other to run in failover mode.

  Maybe if you run them in a private network virtual-balancing of the load in place, they will be able to work, but it will not give you HA.

• Setup VLAN SG300-20

  Hello! Everyone.

  I have 2 small business sg300 switches connected through a catalyst 2960S, I created 2 VLANS and VLAN 3 on two SG300 connect my servers, but those who do not work properly. I connect a pc to a port in each VLAN on the two switches, then I test ping interfaces connected to this VLAN, but sometimes I only connections of a switch, and nothing when I try the second switch. Or I can reach almost all interfaces connected to the switch and one of them does not.  When I disconnect and connect to an interface connected to these switches and try to test again the results change other behaviours.

  I Don t need to route via VLAN I want only the link between each VLAN. So I Don t know if it s necessary to assign an IP address for VLANs

  I made the other configuration using the web interface:

  • I created 2 VLANS and VLAN 3 on each switch SG300 manually and ports assigned to VLANs
  • I configured an each SG300 as TRUNK switch port to connect to the catalyst 2960S. And other ports such as access mode.
  • In the Cat2960S, I configured the ports connected to each SG300 as TRUNK and the traffic of VLAN enabled if these ports.

  The thing is, I don't know what is the problem in my setup. I thought on the GVRP Protocol implementation but Cat2960S support only VTP.

  Does anyone know the right steps to implement this configuration or what is the process to implement the GVRP protocol using these 3 switches?

  I have attached my diagram to know what I m doing.

  Configure the port Fe0/19 in the trunk and VLAN enable this port 1U, 2T, 3T (can be configured on GUI)

  Cat2960 switch:

  Configure the port Fe0/11.0/12 in the trunk and leave all the VLANS. (Vlan 1 must be native.)

• Problems connecting to an affair SG300-20

  I have the following configuration:

  1 SG300-20 with all our servers (about 6) L2 value right now.

  1 SG300-20 with all our workstations (about 12) L2 value right now.

  1 L3 procurve switch/router with 2 VLANS (one for VOIP) and one for the LAN

  The SG300 background on the grid (with servers) is plugged into the Procurve (which is at the top of the grid) its port 5-port Procurve 25.  Port 26 on the Procurve is connected to our Wan (via a sonicwall firewall).  The Protocol DHCP and DNS are all on this switch.

  The SG300 above who has connected workstations and is connected to the SG300 background with a cable from the 19-port 20 the SG300 with servers (as mentioned above).

  The Procurve software has all IP phones connected on it.  As noted above, it is connected to the switch with the servers via port 25 to port the SG300 5.

  I seem to have a problem with the workstations on the SG300 with all other positions for obtaining an IP address.  If I Plug one with an address obtaining in the ProCurve or switch with the DHCP server on it issues, he seized an address immediately.  But it takes an eternity or never a Catcher if connected to the SG300 with workstations.

  STP is enabled and set to automatic in all cases.

  Does anyone else have this problem?  It seems clear to the top/get better if I reboot for awhile.  I see not too many CRC errors or errors in packets.  All is well in the 1 percent or less area.

  Should I plug the Procurve on each switch and then remove the link between the two SG300?

  Hi William, you can disable the tree covering weight or filter the BPDU or activate the fast port manually on the client ports that should accelerate this process. It's progression by protocols spanning tree port probably cause this delay.

• SG300 changing from Layer 3 to layer 2

  Change a SG300 will pass because of layer 2 Layer 3 no downtime important user or any at all?  I have two SG300 52-port and two 20 ports SG300 to make this change to.

  Just checked in my lab who move from L3-> L2 mode results in a defect of the device.  You want to make this change during a prolonged downtime, so you can recreate the lost configurations.  I recommend you to take a backup as well before making the change.

• Questions, get the addresses IP of SG300-20

  I have the following configuration:

  2 SG300-20 with a VIRTUAL LAN (default value... we are a fairly small network) value L2

  1 HP ProCurve L3 switch/router with two VLANS (one for VOIP) and one for the LAN

  The SG300-20 at the bottom of the basket has all the servers (about 6).  It is then connected to the ProCurve to port 5-port ProCurve 25.

  The SG300-20 above which has all the desktops (10).  It is connected to the SG300-20 above the port 19 at the port of the other SG300 20.

  The ProCurve software has all IP phones and the WAN connected (via a Sonicwall) to port 26.

  Everything works, except for the workstations that are trying to enter a new address from the DHCP server after the expiry of the duration of LIFE (I'm guessing that this is the problem because once they are connected, they are stable as a rock).  They just go round and round, and then report a NETWORK not IDENTIFIED for the NIC.  Sometimes it connects, but over time the problem seems to be growing.  Reboot the switch with workstations seems to be accelerating, but I need to check it after working hours this weekend.

  All this experience?  See a problem with my configuration?  Should I rather plug the router (ProCurve) on each switch and captured to eliminate the link between the two SG300?

  When I tried to examine the execution plan for the two motions, the hash value of the plan remains the same. This means that implementation plan for both queries are same? If so, then how Oracle includes or changes to the execution plan based on hint. If not, then what hash value of the plan represents?
  
  2. If the plan with suspicion, and without suspicion is identical except for a given query except the number of lines and bytes. Do you mean this query with fewer lines and scanned bytes is better?

  Yes - as already said - but it's not just because of tips.

  Here is the example code that I use to show that Oracle does NOT simply use a text version of the query that you propose and compute a hash of it.
  These two queries are radically different but have the same hash value; Oracle are not different at all.

• I tried to open a bookmark and its opening in an active window, such as an image, not a separate tab or window. What is going on?

  I had problems with Firefox hanging (seems related to Flash on a particular Web site). During his last hours of troubleshooting, including on the phone with the assistance of my ISP, it was recommended I "Refresh" of Firefox. I've done it before, and I did it yesterday again. This morning I opened Firefox to my homepage (my ISP Portal), checked my email, disconnected from the email, this tab closed, open two other forums and Photobucket - three tabs open in the window - to post pictures and contribute to the discussions in the forums. Once completed, I've disconnected from forums and Photobucket, each firm separately tab, and then quit Firefox. (While in Photobucket, Flash has crashed several times... but this is not unusual with Photobucket in my experience. It's a different problem, I always deal with... but he immediately forgets...) As part of "Refresh" yesterday, I set Firefox to clear the cache and cookies and other files to quit.

  Later in the day today, I opened Firefox, portal of my ISP opened as usual and expected (my "Home page"). Sometimes, instead of close the window/tab, I just open a bookmark and it will open in the same window, but by replacing the previous window and its contents. I.e. the procedure normal functioning for me. You know, rather than having two windows open where I have to close one, I have just the bookmark opens instead of the original content of the window.

  Today (and it happened before today, but rarely), open the bookmark page as if it was a picture in the active window... otherwise said, my ISP Portal occupies about 3/4 of the window, but more on the left side of the window (not another tab or a window, but in the same window) is a thin view bookmark page. This new web page - quite foreign to the original page - has a scroll down bar, but can be made to fill the window... the previously opened web page acts as a barrier to the pleasure of the 'new' image/web page. While I can understand the right border of the "new framework" and drag it to the right, he still cannot push the 'old' web page of origin of the road... the old page reached a minimum limit and I get a split screen of two completely different websites mode contained in exactly the same active window.

  The 'new' frame has an 'x' at the top right, so I could close... but my question is, why it is opened in web page/window...how from a completely different company can two web pages from completely different organizations/companies/websites are the same active window in Firefox? I have... attached screenshots. And, oh yes, not to mention that the HOW and WHY, how can you prevent (or is the best thing to just right click and open in a new tab or window...?) Which is not always convince me... I am someone who needs to know WHY something happened that should not have happened. It drives me crazy when something strange happens and the 'solution' is to change MY behavior. (You know, like if YOU were the problem, but I need to change MY behavior Instead of correct what's wrong with YOU... When YOU could make all of the obsolete situation.)
