  2. have you updated the software and drivers for the webcam?

  You can check if the webcam is detected in Device Manager and also try to update the drivers.

  a.Click Start and type device manager in start search and press ENTER.

  b. in Device Manager check if the Webcam is listed.

  c. right click on the webcam and try to update the drivers.

  My problem is that I have to be able to update the site.  The tool I used iWeb to Apple, isn't an import function.  Dreamweaver is much too sophisticated and costly for my needs.  Does anyone know how to use iWeb to update a Web site created in Dreamweaver?  Or know another point and click (easy) and inexpensive software tool that I can use to make an update based on the new site (posting new links, updating text, etc.)?

  Consider running chkdsk on the drive.  Starting from an command prompt, run chkdsk /f and when prompted to planned a check disk, click Yes.  Then restart and let the disk check complete.  According to the material and the chkdsk has to face, the disk check could take some time.

  After the disk check ends, the system will restart and the results should be connected in the event Application (in administrative tools Event Viewer), with a source of Wininit log and and event id 1001.

  It sounds good, sure to have saved or make copies of your data (in general and before running chkdsk/f).  As you try to run a backup, this may seem contrary, but consider other ways to ensure that you maintain your important data files.
