  I get the first email correctly, but then I keep getting email without data, which are empty?

  I think I need to stop 'treatment' the rest of the page if the Select query returns no records.

  I tried to add this code below after having received the request, but it stops at the < cfabort line...

  Give something like this a try.

  Run your query and then use to run your process of intrusion via cfmail.

  This should work only your intrusion via cfmail process if there is a recordcount, otherwise nothing was happening.

  I am now on Thunderbird 45.5.1 as of 11/22/16. Recently, when I send an e-mail Message Outbox shows that I am connected to my server outbound.att.net ATT and the mobile continuous progress bar but sends no message. I have to click on the Cancel button. Then I try to send the same message again and it goes without problem. Sometimes an e-mail lights up the first time.

As I understand it, you can't send email on your iPhone and your iPad allows to send and receive e-mails with the same account.   I have the Satellite A100 Windows XP sp2 and I'm unable to send e-mail to certain addresses (yahoo among others - recipients rejected by the server).
  After several long sessions with my ISP tech (ntlworld) support that seemed to be the best advice that all is OK with my settings on the server and I need to look for a solution elsewhere.

  I was using Outlook Express as my email application so tried Mozilla's Thunderbird to see if this helped - no improvement, unfortunately.
