Cancel the Archive in Mail

Occasionally, Iwhen reading the email on my iPad with iOS 9.2I get a pop up saying "Undo Archive" with a choice of 'Cancel' or 'Cancel '.  What is everything?  What happens with each choice?

That depends entirely on your e-mail service provider.

For example, if you use Google as a provider (gmail), you have a choice to either save the deleted messages in a folder to archive or deleted messages (trash) box.

You should be able to verify that you chose in the settings > Mail, Contacts, calendars > [email] > account > advanced...

... depending on who is your email provider.

    I have the s 6 + and have just upgraded to iOS 10. Both of my Gmail accounts are related to the mail of iOS and the parameters are defined on archive on the server (all mail in gmail) to throw.     Now with 10, there are 2 problems/bugs.

    Anyone had similar problems? Any ideas if there is a hack to work around this problem?

    Assuming that really format you your hard drive.
    Can erase you every single entry to a file, message, photo, program, document, etc. When you select format you get warnings on this subject.
    The format is the last thing you want to do without going through a backup of your personal and important files.

    Local folders is automatically created when you installed Tbird.
    And it is empty until you move something over there.
    (Your former local folder with all its files and messages has been removed under format).

    Only messages that are still on your server (stbeehive.oracle.com) can be recovered.

    If no message archives points to this local folder. If so, change it.

  • I don't see any emails in the archive folders that I created in my 'local folders' or on my main drive once the e-mail has been moved to the appropriate folder.

    I change a POP server an IMAP. I changed the location of the archive to be in my 'local' folder on my computer and installs the files and folders to the new location of archive. I have subfolders appear under the local folder 'tree', but when I look into them they are empty, except for the most recent. All my files from 2013-2015 are empty.

    Now when I open "Explorer" to search in the directory that I did for my local folder location, files are there and so are emails... way of sorts. They are not separate emails, each folder contains a large super file. When I try to open this file, it just opens as if I try to send an email and the file is linked as an attachment.

    When I try to go into the file--> open--> recorded message etc there is no emails to open and no record. Is there a way to see my archived messages using the open saved email? Is it possible to see the emails in the folders in the tree view under the Local folder in the Thunderbird application? I'm afraid I can have lost 3 years of archives if I can't, and I really need TO HAVE your emails. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

    OS X El Capitan (tested with 9.2 Mail), you can directly set in the Mail application:

    1. Select your new folder to archive.
    2. In the menu, choose mailbox > use this mailbox under > archive mailbox.

    In German, it is Postfach > sharps Postfach use als > Postfach "Archiv".
