Cancellation of subscription and get a refund

I need a subscription to the month for only a month. In the process of cancellation of the subscription today at the end of the month, I find that I'm already charged for the second month.  I went to the chat support and there was no room for manoeuvre while being able to unsubscribe immediately and request a refund of the 2nd month for which I was charged. I was told by the representative of the conversation that they would give me a free month... but he should immediately follow the 2nd month I pay for (and need not).  Nor will it take the free month.  So, I decided to call the phone number provided.  The automated operator says that my wait would be about 1 minute.  After 20 minutes, I disconnected the call.  Does anyone have a similar experience to this trying to get a refund?
