Cancelled identity switch

I am running Windows XP, Service Pack 3. I do not use Outlook. I have used e-mail for a long time a very old program, Eudora 7.1.0.9 mode paying because I love him and he has an excellent spam filter tool.

Periodically, I get the message "Identity switch canceled" and close all open programs. I have seen this during startup or when my computer is not used. It does not appear to be linked to any program I've seen this message with different programs that are running. It is not a problem, as I click on the 'OK' button and continue with what I want to do. This issue seems to be very random and doesn't happen every day. Do you have any suggestions as to what might happen or should I just continue to ignore that. I have run Windows Update and updates on they. I also have the security of the firewall settings on. I use Norton Internet Security. I am very causes when browsing and will not click on any suspicious email.

To add to my previous comment, there's a title to the message (in the blue bar at the top of the window)?  Which can indicate what program it is.

In addition, if you have Windows Search installed, then go to control panel | Indexing Options and change them so that Outlook Express is excluded being indexed.  That might solve the problem.  It is probably a problem with a corrupted registry key of OE.  See here: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/224463 see if this suggestion has helped and if not, I can suggest something else that might, but I suspect Windows Search (or Norton) tries to access the message store and it cannot, then you get this error message.

  • Command-Z don't cancel reliably

Does anyone else have this problem? I am a user of long date Photoshop and in the two latest versions (CS5/6 and CC), if I make a mark, stop, and then type command-Z, nothing happens. I have to save the historical Panel to return to the previous state. Sometimes cancel works, most of the time it isn't. I mean, I know that Photoshop doesn't cancel infinite as Illustrator, but now I can't seem to do even a single cancellation. Is it me, or is this Photohop? If anyone else has encountered this problem, it is probably my low synchronizing or just awkwardness of the brain. Is this a setting? But why would there be a "Undo on" vs. "cancel out" switch? Any ideas?

I solved the problem. There was another weird problem elsewhere on the mysterious series, a computer of pictures of the inside of a meatlocker filed at the level of the root of the HD that defied my attempts to remove. They kept coming back, who told me it was good, something weird, while I posted this fact on the Apple forum (malware!), got some alarming and elaborate responses and liquidation to reformat my boot drive, and then re-setup of creative cloud. Meatlocker missing shots, Photoshop "Undo" issue is no longer a problem. So the problem is not in Photoshop. These are malware. Take care, oh ye of little faith.

Had the hard drive problems.  He has been replaced by Dell warranty.  I have set up outlook express 6 with multiple identities.  I can't go from one to the other identity and return to the original, without having to restart my computer.  Dell has said that some things need to be changed to make it work properly.  They tell me what they were without a heavy load.  I used to use this feature with my old hard drive.  Help me please if you can...  Thanks in advance.

  • Away you smartphones blackBerry 7.1 update on the Torch 9810

I just did the update for the new bundle of 7.1 from my PC. Twice he has lost the connection to the phone after the restart and comes up with an error 507.

Fortunately www.blackberry.com/507 tells you how to recover your old operating system.

It works very well, so there is nothing wrong with my phone or computer - it's the * beep * update which is screwed!

I just found out (I only got the torch for a few months) that "restore" from the desktop software is not restore your applications! I hope it will work http://www.ehow.com/how_5864947_restore-blackberry-apps.html

I restore all the bundle 7.0 for the second time.

A great way to waste an eveneing...

Well, it's not particularly useful - is it?

You've upgraded to 7.1 without problems?  YES

It will not install. There may be something wrong with the phone or the PC or desktop software - or it wouldn't restore to 7.0.

Of course, it takes something like that to get a 'full backup' account with the desktop software does not save 3rd party applications!

    Well, another night spoiled...

You can back up the applications but is not a native function

Basically, you make a switch unit and once saved, copy the files and cancel the switch.

I use the Desktop Manager as much as all my apps can be downloaded from the app world, but I know that some have collected more special and above will help you in the future

This is how to update an operating system

    Manual device OS upgrade instructions:

    1. start by searching for your operator and the system operating file that you want to use.

    http://NA.BlackBerry.com/eng/support/downloads/download_sites.jsp

    2. make a backup of your device first, using Desktop Manager > backup. Close at the end Office Manager and disconnect it from BlackBerry. Get DM here http://us.blackberry.com/apps-software/desktop/

    3. download the OS files to the PC then install on the PC by running (double click) the downloaded file.

    4. go into c:\program files Research in motion\apploader and delete the file named "vendor.xml."

    5. This step is not necessary unless there is a problem on the next steps. Use BBSAK from BBSAK.org and wipe the device (after doing a full backup), then after you get the 507 error (no OS installed) then proceed to step 6

6 remove the internet connection for PC and reboot the PC.

    7. plug the BlackBerry and double-click on "Loader.exe." It is located in the same place as the above vendor.xml file was in.

    8. If you did step 5, restoration of the back upward. Follow this KB if necessary http://www.blackberry.com/btsc/KB10339

Take advantage of the new operating system.

  • DW CC 2014: Cancel allows you to switch between files.

Scenario: I am change an HTML file with a styles.css file. So I have a tab open and on top, I 'Source code' and 'styles.css' (as the css file is automatically detected and shown).

Say I change text in the html file, place you in styles.css to change the color, and then switch back to the html file and noticed that I've made a typo and want to cancel the changes to the text. By hitting cancel them (Cmd - Z on a Mac) I am switched to the css file and the color change, I did there is cancelled by pressing Cmd - new Z returns to the html file and cancels editing text... I don't want that! Cancellation must only to undo changes in the file, in that I am currently working. As he has done in cs4, cs5, cs6, cc 2013 etc... I guess it's some 'new' in 2014 CC and I really need to turn it off because it is * beep * ing annoying. But how?

Edit: The current solution is disabling 'Enable related files' and change the css file in a different tab, but I like the related files feature.

  • If I switch to the newer version of Firefox I lose Identity Safe w / Norton?

the last time I tried to update to firefox, I lost my w/Norton Identity Safe. This issue is still ongoing?

    Hello, Jim.

First of all, I must remind you that the version of Firefox you are using right now has been deleted and is no longer supported. In addition, he has known unpatched bugs and security problems. I invite you to upgrade to the latest version of Firefox, for maximum security, stability, performance and ease of use. You can get it for free, as always, to getfirefox.com.

And if you lose "Identity Safe w/Norton", if it is an extension, you need to just try, or ask about it to Symantec. You can always go back to Firefox 3.0 if you want to, but who is not recommended at all, since Firefox 3.0 is not updated and is not safe to use.

Also, make sure "Identity Safe w/Norton" (if it is an extension) If this does not work with Firefox 3.6, maybe you can force compatibility. See this. If you have any questions, just ask.

As a side note and that is a purely personal observation, I do not think that "Identity Safe w/Norton" will improve your safety at all, if you are using Firefox 3.0. If she doesn't do anything (usually this kind of software is just marketing scams), it's slowing down your computer. Also, it is definitely and probably preferable to run Firefox 3.6 without it than to run Firefox 3.0 with it. Now and in your case, I think that the best solution is to run Firefox 3.6 with it, but I don't recommend you let keep you updated to 3.6, if it's not compatible.

If "Identity Safe w/Norton" is not an extension, please tell me what it is.

  • 6510 B211a: switching between identical 6510 B211a printers

I have 2 different places the same printers and carry a laptop Dell with OS 7. Whenever I change places I need to download a new driver to get the active printer to work. Being a newbe to this process, I accepted this as the standard, but I hope that now there is an easier way to switch connection.

    Hey @Jimbo619,

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support!

I understand you have two printer e-all-in-one HP Photosmart 6510 at different locations and are looking for an easier way to tell the difference between the two Photosmarts on your Windows 7 computer. I would like to help you to solve this problem today. The best way to tell the difference between the two printers and to avoid reinstallation at the different locations would be to 'Rename' printers. Then, when you at the various places you simply choose the printer that matches the name that you gave to this very spot. If that sounds confusing to you now, he must make a lot more sense at the end of this post! Can I please you follow the steps below.

Now, because you have already installed your HP Photosmart several times we will have to do an uninstall to remove all traces of the printers on the computer before you run the hotfix. In this way, you will avoid having duplicates of your printers on your system.

    Step 1: Uninstall the device:

If you use a USB cable connection please disconnect this cable from the computer or the printer, everything is easier.

    1. Click on the Start menu
    2. Select all programs
    3. Select the HP folder
    4. Select your Camera HP Photosmart
    5. Select Uninstall
    6. Please follow the prompts on the screen to complete the uninstallation. Once the uninstall is complete, proceed to the next step.

    Step 2: Install the device:

    1. Please click here to download the HP full feature software and driver package
    2. Once the download is complete, follow the prompts on the screen to install the first copy of your printer
    3. Once the installation is complete, click on the Start menu
    4. Select the devices and printers
    5. You should now see 1 copy of your HP Photosmart camera in this folder. Right click on The HP Photosmart camera and left click on printer properties
    6. Under the 'general' tab, you will see the name of your printer in the top. You can change the name to something that "" will tell you where is this specific. For example: HP Photosmart 6510 (office), HP Photosmart 6510 (Home), etc.
    7. Once the name of the printer has changed please click on apply and OK
    8. Close window devices and printers.

Step 3: Add the second copy to printer:

You will need to be on location with the second printer to install it correctly. If you use wired USB with second HP Photosmart please do not connect the USB cable at this time.

    1. on the desktop on your Windows 7 computer, you will see the HP Photosmart Printer Wizard. It should look like this:

    2. click on the HP printer Assistant to open it. When the HP printer Assistant software opens click utilities at the top tab

    3. in respect of public services , click on the option of configuration of the printer and the software . Then, run the option to connect a new printer . Please follow the prompts on the screen to install the second copy of your printer.

    4. Once your second copy of the printer has been installed, click on the Start menu

    5. Select the devices and printers

    6. now, you should see two copies of your HP Photosmart camera. Right-click on the new copy of the printer (which will not be show her updated name that you previously added to the first copy of your printer) and left click on printer properties

    7. on the general tab, change the name of the second copy of your printer

    8. click on apply and OK

    9. closing devices and printers

Now you'll have two HP Photosmart printers installed. Two copies will have full access to your printing software and both copies will also show their names changed, so you can make the difference at the time to choose the right printer to print on.

Please let me know if this procedure works for you. Good luck!
