Cannot add to the youtube search bar
I am trying to add youtube to search, what he says that he can not find the plugin, all other Internet sites works very well... anyone else having this problem? How can I solve this problem?
Copy this text into a file youtube.xml and copy this file in the searchplugins folder worked for me to see the search engine in the search drop-down list engine.
You must create this folder searchplugins.
You can use this button to go to the Firefox profile folder:
- Help > troubleshooting information > profile directory: see file (Linux: open the directory;) Mac: View in the Finder)

Cannot change the Google search bar
In Safari, I go to Google.com and do a google search. So far so good.
Now, on the search results page, I try to edit the search in the Google search bar and nothing happens - the Google search bar is totally insensitive. To do another search, I use the address bar in Safari or reload google.com.
I have deleted history, deleted all the data of the Web site, disconnected plugins and extensions, deleted the cache via the menu Developer. I used 3 CleanMyMac to clear and reset everything. I can't solve the problem.
Safari 9.0.2 (11601.3.9)
OS X El Capitan 10.11.2

'CleanMyMac' is a scam and a frequent cause of instability and poor performance. Depending on which version you have, the developer's instructions may not completely uninstall. Please follow these instructions, then do as below.
Please, back up all data before proceeding.
Triple-click anywhere in the line below on this page to select this option:
/Library/LaunchDaemons/com.macpaw.CleanMyMac2.Agent.plist
Right-click or Ctrl-click on the highlighted line and select

the contextual menu.*, a file can open with a selected item. If so, move the selected item to the trash. You may be prompted for administrator login password.
Repeat with this line:
/Library/PrivilegedHelperTools/com.macpaw.CleanMyMac2.Agent
Restart the computer and empty the trash.
You may also delete one or more of these elements in the same way:
~/Library/LaunchAgents/com.macpaw.CleanMyMac.helperTool.plist
~/Library/LaunchAgents/com.macpaw.CleanMyMac.volumeWatcher.plist
~/Library/LaunchAgents/com.macpaw.CleanMyMac3.Scheduler.plist
Never install "CleanMyMac" or something like that.
* If you do not see the item context menu copy the selected text in the Clipboard by pressing Control-C key combination. In the Finder, select
Go ▹ go to the folder...

How can I add a Bing my search bar?
When I try to add Bing to my search bar in FF 35.0.1, I get the following message:
Firefox could not install the plugin 'https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/downloads/latest/10434/addon-10434-latest.xml?src=search' research as an engine with the same name already exists.
I don't have a Bing in my list of search engine. Looks like FF thinks I'm. How can I add?
I've solved this problem, but cannot remove the original question. Sorry for taking up bandwidth.

The Google search bar in the top right contains more the search engine Google. I tried to add it by going to Google.com , but when I tried to add it, it does not recognize something to add. I also tried to go through the list of search engines provided by Firefox, but there is so much of different created by so many different people, I had no idea that who to choose.
Click the arrow on the search bar and use the option "manage search engines" then use restore defaults, which include Google again in the drop-down list, and if you click on google it will become the default search engine.

On my Acer Tablet, the Google search bar hides the icon of 'info' to the home page. I would like to make visible "Info" icon. How can I get rid of the Google search bar, or at least move it to another location on the home page?
Thank you
on most of the pitchers, to move the widgets, hold on them. However, on some launchers, the google widget cannot be moved by normal means. You can install a new launcher in the app store, like this.

The Firefox search bar seems to have changed since the last update. I understand that things are changing constantly and get used to them, but I wonder if it is possible to change the rear bar to the way it was, or at least understand why it changed.
Basically, I used to be able to switch from search engines by choosing from the drop-down list, and would not put me right at the site of this search engine. He didn't actually bring me to the site once I hit the search button (or enter). It's quite annoying to have to remember to open a new tab before changing search engines in order to avoid sailing away from the tab that you are currently on, and it's also annoying that when you open a new tab and change the search engines, you are immediately taken to the site of this search engine. It feels like an extra step (ranging from 'the empty tab search engine page to search result' instead of 'empty tab to search result').
I know it sounds like a minor complaint, no doubt, but I'm really really curious to know why it was changed. More important, I want to know if there is a way to customize the way it was.
Thanks for any help!
Many users have been raising this issue. I mentioned the same question in this post here: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1086138
In summary, it seems that the Firefox team is not intend to bring back the ability to return to the old bar search, which was possible (but in a very biased way) in older versions of 42. For now, you can either:
- Download module additional classic restaurateur theme to https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/classicthemerestorer/?src=ss and then select the old search option
- Go back to Firefox 42 and set the browser.search.showOneOffButtons property in Subject: config. However, with older versions poses a risk to the security that you won't have bug fixes provided with version 43

Why the firefox search bar does not work?
If I type a website or search for words in the Firefox search bar and hit 'return' nothing happens. If it's a site I went to before, if fills but when I hit 'back' nothing happens.
I use Firefox on a Macbook OS X Yosemite 10.10.2 36.0.1

How to get back the bar under the top search bar?
How to get back the bar under the bar top search which were listed in all things, such as facebook, outlook, uncle henry wtc that I dragged from the entries in the top search bar? I lost him after a refresh. I also can't connect to mozilla accounts with my user name and password. Thank you.
You can enable (or disable) built-in Bookmarks Toolbar in Firefox using one of the following methods to view the list of the toolbar:
- Right click on a place empty on the tab bar (or the button '+')
- Press the Alt key to activate the classic menu bar > view > toolbars
- in customize mode > show/hide toolbars
Does it work? And your bookmarks are still there?
About your accounts of Mozilla, what kind of accounts are - websites? Sync? etc.

I generally use the search bar to get the work done. Today with the update, I noticed that Firefox has implemented a MAJOR change to the workflow here. The only problem is that it is exactly the opposite of the intuitive for me. Will there be a fix for this, or should I switch to chrome?
To return to the change of research design bar, you can:
(1) in a new tab, type or paste Subject: config in the address bar and press ENTER. Click on the button promising to be careful.
(2) in the search box that appears above the list, type or paste the Search and make a break while the list is filtered
(3) double-click the preference browser.search.showOneOffButtons to true to false
This does not affect the current window, but each new window that you open (Ctrl + n) will be the old search bar.

It is in the separate search bar, not the URL bar that can also be used as a search bar. It seems to happen only with selected Google. If I choose one of the other search engines to the search bar, then the problem goes away. I use the latest version of Firefox on Mac/Mavericks.
Hi Jay777
Try it next please.
You have disabled the Suggestions show inside the Google search bar.
To activate the Suggestions show:
Click once inside the search bar, then click inside the bar.
At the bottom of the context menu, choose Show SuggestionsShut down and restart firefox and then turn it back on and restart again.
See if it works for you!

How to make default in the address bar of research follows the selection of the top search bar right
Hello
at the time, my default firefox location bar search engine is dynamic, it always follows the preferred search engine on the right upper search bar
but I clicked some ads in accident, and just go wrong
my default address bar search engine always uses google, back then, it searches in wikipedia when I use the wikipedia on the top right search engine bar even when I'm just typing "firefox" to search in the address bar, it will be automatically redirected to wikipedia search for "firefox".
TL; Dr., how can I make a default address bar search engine follows the search engine in the search bar?
Thanks for your attention
You can now move on to the beta version of Firefox which is Firefox23 already.
- Careful NOT to use all options to remove the personal information if you choose to do.
- See and get http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/beta/
Don't know exactly what your old configuration were able, but whatever happens and in the near future it must always be easy to change the right hand search bar to use the various search engines.
At some point in the future there are possibilities the search address bar may be combined and there is also the possibility of a new system of Search-tab under development.

Configuration of the Firefox search bar
Firefox 14.0.1 on Windows XP.
The Firefox search bar is one of the most useful features; and I use it dozens, or even hundreds of times every day. Especially on Google and a few times on Amazon.
Now recently all Google results are redirected Google.si; with mostly Japanese results. Even if I go to google, com wesite, it redirects me to Google.si
Now, I know that I can use http://www.google.com/ncr to prevent redirection.
The question is: How can I change the Firefox search bar to not redirect me?
Thanks for any help with this!
Google should not redirect more once you have visited the Google.com site, either by clicking on the link Google.com (setprefdomain? prefdom = US) at the bottom of the Japanese page or through the /ncr switch.
Make sure that you keep cookies and perhaps local storage as well.

From there I want to reduce the size of the address bar, but I don't know how, does anyone know how to do this?If you want unusable space: right click at the right end of the address bar. Click Customize. Drag the icon of 'Space' where you want the space. Repeat as many times as necessary. (To cancel, drag the spaces to whence they came.)
