I get the following MSG: Teh diskett evil lies in the drivve.  Insert %2 (flight series # 3%) in drive %1.  Error (0 X 80070022) the disc that I use is a Cd - R (and in fact, every time I use it I tells me that it is not formatted)

    Hello

    1. don't you make changes to the computer until the problem occurred?

Method 1: try to scanner SFC [SFC system] on the computer that would be a system file corrupt on the computer search and replace.

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929833

    Method 2:

Also try to scan your computer for the Microsoft Security Scanner, which would help us to get rid of viruses, spyware and other malicious software.

The Microsoft Security Scanner is a downloadable security tool for free which allows analysis at the application and helps remove viruses, spyware and other malware. It works with your current antivirus software.

    http://www.Microsoft.com/security/scanner/en-us/default.aspx

Note: The Microsoft Safety Scanner ends 10 days after being downloaded. To restart a scan with the latest definitions of anti-malware, download and run the Microsoft Safety Scanner again.

Note: The data files that are infected must be cleaned only by removing the file completely, which means that there is a risk of data loss.

  • Cannot connect to Windows Vista due to password problem

I have a Dell XPS computer laptop model PP28L and run Vista Home Premium. When I bought the computer I bought in a pawn shop. Of course it was sold with no records at all. No recovery or restore of Windows disks. I have a valid Microsoft "proof of License'for my Vista Home Premium. Should I be reinstall Windows and if yes how I'd get the disks.

    * original title - cannot connect on Windows Vista Home Premium because someone changed my password, deleted my ID of the administrator and the guest connection. I am in the *.

Your only option is to do a clean install of Vista.  There is no free, download of the disk.  Contact the manufacturer of the computer and they may be willing to sell you a set of recovery disks to reinstall the system (but you will need 23 digit product key to activate it in all probability even if sometimes it is not necessary when it is made with recovery on the same computer discs).

Here is Microsoft's policy on software lost: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/326246 you can see is not much help.

If you can borrow an installation disk of Vista genuine of the same size of the bit of ANYONE, you can use that with your product key to re - install the system and start over (you get a new administrator account and set your own password for him - or to leave empty that you choose).

    I hope this helps.

  • Satellite A200 - 1 M 8: the monitor shuts off and cannot back up to Vista

    Hello

I have the Satellite A200 - 1 M 8 with original Vista. Sometimes, I have some problems with the display (I have the latest drivers).
The monitor turns off (not as usual but it is gray instead of black) applications flow normally (I hear the music of film, this) but I can't get back into windows.

When I push button hibernation and I try to go back to windows, I see the blue screen then the computer resets.

It happens very often and is really frustrating because my internet disconnects and downloads.

I don't think that the temperature is too high because I think it's cool. How to fix this?
Maybe some graphics settings or new BIOS?

Please help me. I can't stand it!

    Information about updates:

"Sometimes Microsoft offers updates for the 3rd party hardware: graphics, network cards, etc..

You should only get the latest drivers for them to real hardware manufacturer's website, as Microsoft normally does nor those have the most recent drivers available as Microsoft relies of the 3rd party hardware Manufactuer to provide.

But unfortunately, the only way to know which is the update of the problem is to install them one by one, until you find the 'wrong' for your installation.

You can do a system restore to get back until it has been installed (which is NOT the best way to remove an update) or follow this method:

    'Remove an update'

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/remove-an-update

When you have found the issue of update of the list of updates which is presented > then right click on the update problem > select Hide update > and it will not be available to you once again

    Or the other of these two update settings will give you the chance to see what you want to install through Windows updates;

Download updates but let me choose whether to install them - if you select this option, Windows will download the updates on your computer, but not install them automatically. If you want to install updates, then you must install them manually. You should only select this option if you have a reason to not install updates automatically. Only advanced users should use this option.

Check for updates but let me choose whether to download and install them - if you select this option, you'll be alerted when there are new updates available for download and install. You can then choose to download and install the updates that you want. This option should really be reserved for people who know exactly which updates they need, or those who have little access to the Internet.

But remember you normally only have problems with hardware 3rd party drivers. Other updates are to improve the performance and security of your system"

My apologies for the delay in the answer here.

    Hello

You are running a third part of the internet security solution? Many of them include a firewall that is clean and disable the Windows Firewall. If this is the case, you should first disable this one before the attempt to initialize the Windows Firewall. It is not advisable to attempt to run two firewalls at the same time.

If you have recently deleted (uninstalled) a third party solution, you may need to run a cleanup this provider of software tool to remove any debris WASTE of this program in order to activate the Windows Firewall.

  • Cannot connect my windows vista PC to new LG 42 '' tv

    Hi all

    PC Spec:
ACER Aspire x 3200 2.4 GHz Dual Core, 3 GB Ram, Nvidia Geforce 9200 with HDMI
    Operating system:
Windows Vista Edition Home Premium Service Pack 2
    TV model:
    LG 42LS3450
Could someone give me some advice as to why my LG TV keeps showing 'No Signal' when my PC is connected via HDMI.
We have recently updated from a 32 '' Technika tv which worked perfectly through HDMI, to a LG 42lc3450 with the hope of using it as a screen for our PC.
After doing some research on the internet the problem seems to be around the PC actually detect the new TV. I tried the Nvidia settings but it does not list the LG screen. I connected the old Technika via VGA and left the LG connected to HDMI. Unfortunately the LG is not a VGA connection. I tried to restart, including turn switch off and restart costs. still no luck. I updated the Nvidia drivers for the most recent and still no luck. If I connect the HDMI to the tv Technika and restart it find it's ok.
    Thanks in advance
    John and Natalie

Did you put the TV at the entrance to the computer via HDMI?

Turn on your TV (computer OFF) and place it on the entry corresponding to the output on your computer (HDMI). You may need to refer to the supplied with your television user's guide for instructions on how to do this (or set on HDMI remote entry). Then turn on your computer.
