  • Publish on projects from Lightroom

It seems that one can only share Lightroom and Photohop work to the work in progress section.

I wish I could share a series of images from Lightroom directly to a project. Is this possible?

    What prevents this is possible?

  • Keep the dng or CR2 files when switching from Lightroom and Photoshop.

From Lightroom and Photoshop, how can I keep the dng or CR2 files. Now it changes the psd and when I return to Lightroom it removes options in the section of Calibration of the camera, so that while I have a choice (Adobe Standard/camera faithful), after returning from Photoshop file I have "Embedded." How can I keep the dng or CR2 files

Adding to the good advice of Alfred - a raw file cannot be registered as the other files.

Its only use is the basis for the creation of new files, which must be regular files, such as tiff, psd or jpg.

When you edit a raw file in Lightroom, it does not change the file, the changes are written to the catalog.

Optionally, save the changes in the form of metadata (xmp) sidecar files, or in the case of DNG in the file itself.

I export a DNG from Lightroom on my iMac (OSx 10.11.2) but the thumbnail in os x Finder still shows the unmodified image. How can I update the thumbnail?

Export to DNG will always export a unretouched photo non-modified. Your changes are in the XMP of DNG file as text, and most of the viewers of DNG files cannot interpret or use this text. So, it seems that when you export photos in DNG, Lightroom has done what it is supposed to do.

  • Import from Lightroom for comp

I thought that COMP is used to allow me to pull images from Lightroom Mobile in a design.  But now I can't find it on any of the menus.  Where is it supposed to be and is there a problem for example Comp cannot detect the presence of Lightroom on my iPad?

    Hi Anon,

Lightroom Mobile has not been included in the Comp CC. Maybe you think the Mix of Photoshop or Photoshop Fix? Because you can change images, using these applications, in Comp CC.

  • How to restore pictures that have been deleted from Lightroom, but not removed from the 'drive '?

How to restore pictures that have been deleted from Lightroom, but not removed from the 'drive '? Also, how can I restore photos after saving Lightroom. I started to remove some files and it removed ALL of them! I chose the option "cancel delete files" and them brought back, she says they are all "missing or offline. I tried to 'find' a different folder and it deleted the folder all together and now I don't know where he is. Help, please!

How to restore pictures that have been deleted from Lightroom, but not removed from the 'drive '?

You need a backup of your Lightroom catalog file before deleting the photos made. You have such a backup? If so, find the backup catalog, open it (double click on it) and then search for the photos you want and select them and then file-> export catalogue; Then go to your original catalog file, open it and select file-> import from another catalog and points to the catalog that you just exported.

If you do not have a backup of your catalog file, then the only thing you can do is to import the photos again, and Lightroom will treat them as totally new photos with no editing and no metadata provided by the user.

Moreover, the idea of importing photos into Lightroom and then later removing them to Lightroom should is limited to photos you will EVER want such a photos that are so overexposed or underexposed or blurred that they are essentially useless. The photos that you care enough to run a task on (including editing) should never be removed from Lightroom.

Also, how can I restore photos after saving Lightroom.

Is this the same problem as above, or another?

I chose the option "cancel delete files" and them brought back, she says they are all "missing or offline.

Is it possible that you actually deleted pictures from the hard disk, as well as from Lightroom? Anyway, Lightroom cannot find the photos and you first need to find photos on your hard drives and then direct Lightroom to the location of the photo on your hard drive, using these instructions Adobe Lightroom - find folders and files moved or missing

  • Save psd files exported from Lightroom to Photoshop

    Hello world.

I really hope someone can help me, because I'm about to go nuts here. :-)

When I export from Lightroom to Photoshop psd file, then I can not save the psd file in Photoshop before you close Lightroom. As soon as Lightroom is closed, there is no problem to save the Photoshop file.

    The error I get is:

  • My sRGB JPEGs from Lightroom different online

I'm having a bit of a problem with my sRGB JPEG files from lightroom,

Initially, the JPEGs looked different to Lightroom everywhere (Windows etc. Photo Viewer), but when I imported them back into Lightroom, they looked the same as the published RAWs.

I solved with a little research by removing my profiles of color monitors, now my sRGB JPEGS look identical in Photo Viewer Windows as the RAWs edited in Lightroom.

However, as soon as I download these JPEG files online, they are different again!

    See the examples:

    JPEG issue.jpg

If you look at the trees to the right of the image on the image uploaded on Facebook you can see that they are quite a bit darker than on the windows photo viewer. It becomes much more obvious if you zoom in. How can occur when it is the exact same sRGB JPEG?

    Thanks for any help!

Thank you both for your responses. I solved the problem, but I don't really know how. All I did was unplug my monitor and plug it into a small TV instead, the images seemed identical to television in IE and Chrome. I then plugged my monitor into and what you know, images look identical through IE and Chrome now? !!!

All I can think is that my profile of monitor settings were somewhat damaged or messed up, and chrome could not map the profile properly on my monitor. When I plugged the TV it must have refreshed the monitor profile and then 're-installed' when I reconnected my original monitor

    Very strange...

  • Cannot save file from CC 2015 to Lr as a jpeg file.

    Hello.

Thanks for the help.  I was on the phone with a form of Adobe technology for at least 45 minutes after, wait at least one hour support to get to him.  After 45 minutes and him having to take control of my computer, it says that it cannot be done. So, thanks for the advice.  I really appreciate the time you took to answer my question.

After that I went to the psd in the Preferences tab I can now save images from CC 2015 in Lr as a psd file.  But when I'm done with all my improvements now want to flatten image and save it in jpg format s and send, Photoshop/Lr does not save it in the Lr catalog, but it saves it in the bridge.  Is it possible to save it as a jpg file to Lr?

    Hi Theo,.

I'm sorry that you waited for a long time during the call.

Although Theo, what is happening here that when you take the image from Lightroom to Photoshop which is actually a .tiff format.

As you said have you flatten layers, you can save in Jpeg format, but surely, that reflect back Lr.

As when we press the Save as command in photoshop, it's one more copy of that image and it ask you for the location where to put it.

If this copy automatically imported to Lightroom return.

The best way you can do here is that you can save as JPEG in the same folder where is your original and then you can go to lightroom-> right click (ctrl + click (MAC)) on this folder and then click on synchronize.

This will open the dialog box and gives you the ability to import to Lr without opening the import window.

Of this a way you can put this JPEG file in the same catalog.

Let me know if it works for you.

    Thank you & best regards

  • I downloaded the latest version of camera raw for LR. I LR4 and cannot import pictures from my new Nikon D750. Download said it was successful, but I still can't import photos.

I downloaded the latest version of camera raw for LR. I LR4 and cannot import pictures from my new Nikon D750. Download said it was successful, but I still can't import photos.

Lightroom does not use plug in Camera Raw. So download the latest Camera Raw did nothing at all for you. The only way to update or upgrade Lightroom is to get the latest version. If you have Lightroom 4 then the latest version of Lightroom, you have no additional cost is Lightroom 4.4.1. If the device you are using requires something newer that what is supported and that the version of Lightroom, then an upgrade to Lightroom 5.

  • Photoshop CS5 64-bit crashes at launch, save as and when opening photos from Lightroom.

I had this problem intermittently for years with different versions and different computers, but this time, he won't go away.  I need to use the 64 bit version for large files, but it keeps crashing in many different ways.

    1. I open the program from the desktop.  It shows the spash screen indicates the workspace for a few seconds and then hangs with the message:

    Problem event name:APPCRASH
    Name of the application:Photoshop.exe
    Version of the application:12.1.0.0

    I use the latest version.

My video card drivers are completely up to date.

I use a decent computer with 16 GB of ram.

I open the program as an administrator.

I have reset the prefrences too many times to count by removing the prefrences and holding the key ctrl + alt + shift at startup.

2 - If by some wild stretch of the imagination, I get the prefrences program totally erased first and as an administrator and then the program will plant about 75% of the time when the using the "Save as".

If I try to do something special like create a new folder to put the file in, then the chances of accident are greatly increased.

3 - if I try to open a file from Lightroom, even if the files are open in all directions, Photoshop will crash very often.

What happens here?  I made no change on my computer, have not installed new programs and, as I said earlier, have everything updated.  I even stopped using plugins a long time ago because I didn't want to take the risk that he would cause this fragile program crashing, so all plugins are uninstalled.  Why this keep happening?  When this has happened before everything will work fine for months and then all of a sudden, I can't get the program to open.  When it opens again, for seemingly unknown reason as when he stopped, it works anywhere from a few minutes for even a few months.

This seems to be a problem having a ton of people, but I was not able to find one another response that 'delete settings' or "Run as Administrator" or "update *.»

What can I do to prevent that from happening and fix it when it arrives?

    Update - problem solved.

The problem turned out to be with Avast.  I found other people who have had the same problem with Outlook, and they did to this problem.  Protection of live scripts seems to have caused the crash at startup.  Why it was intermittent to the worst first and got, I don't know, but since temporarily turn off Avast during startup I have not had the problem again.  Now I'll just have to start shopping for more user friendly antivirus software Photoshop.

Thanks for the tips Mylenium, unfortunately (or fortunately actually for me) I had no conflict of 64-bit.

The other action I took was to remove all the programs that have been installed since the problem began.  This has not fixed the problem, but it certainly cannot hurt to keep everything that I do not use the computer even when off.

  • Change of color after export from Lightroom

I noticed a color drastically change after the export a file from Lightroom to a JPEG file today. I have been using Lightroom for a while, and it's never happened before. I'm assuming that I changed the setting somehow and I cannot find how to fix.

    Here is the original.

    original.jpg

After exporting a JPEG file. The color is so radically different. I tried both sRGB and AdobeRGB, and they are having the same problem.

    jpeg_adobeRGB1998_now.jpg

It is not as clear as JPEG files, but files edited with Photoshop CS5 seems slightly different view on Lightroom.

I'd appreciate it if someone could help me. Thank you very much for your help!

In the preferences panel, open al Presets tab uncheck the checkboxes at the top (Apply auto tone, etc.). Then click on the button 'Reset all parameters of development by default'. This should make the reset button behave normally. It will remove any other default settings you defined well.
