Cannot choose where to install the player

Installer & MyAdobe Reader download ran in a single step, never allowing me to choose where to install it. It is a big problem, because my C: drive where it is lacking of the installation was already short of disk space. I need to be able to choose where install the program myself, not to be forced by Adobe to accept installation of the C: drive. Is it possible to direct the installation, or move it now that it is already installed? I have an SSD, that I want to install it.

I don't know how to install Adobe Reader "in one step", without passing by the different install panels, which allows me to choose the installation location (change Destination folder):

It is the Panel installation Reader 9.4, as I have not installed X drive on my system.

You can download the executable installer from http://get.adobe.com/reader/enterprise/

PS you can not move an existing installation; You must uninstall your current drive, then install again in a different location.

  • 2 locations to "Program Files" - one on the C partition - and another on the D partition is possible (or option) so that you can 'choose' where to install a program in particular?

    Hello

It's my first time display questions on a forum like this, so I'll try to explain in detail what I have (somehow... :)).
Is it possible to have 2 "Program Files" location - one on the C partition - and the other on the D partition so that you can 'choose' where to install a program in particular? I don't really want to get rid from where 'move' the 'Program Files' folder on my C partition (I just do a clean reinstall of Windows XP), BUT I would like to be able to install several programs on the partition D place on C 'by default. "

Here's the question: I have several programs that have no option to 'choose' where should be installed - they'll automatically C\Program Files. I want to install it on the D partition. If this is not possible, how can I transfer to the new location (once they have already been installed) in their entirety so that they are functional. I don't want to keep the remains, references and 'shortcuts' on the C partition. These programs should begin to malfunction, I have freedom to wipe the D partition and reinstall the programs without messing up the heart of the system.

I'd appreciate any help, advice and ideas. Regarding my computer experience, I'd put myself in the novice category, detailed explanations would be a lifesaver! Thank you.

Programs come with their own setup program and the program developer decides to give the possibility to choose the download location or not

Regarding your concern about to spoil the central system

Whenever you install a program, that it will create many items inside your main drive where windows is installed (in this case C:\) to install a program that affects the system to another drive does not affect your system

  • Error in Windows Media Player, Windows Media Player is not installed correctly and must be reinstalled. You want to install the Player from the Microsoft Website

I don't know how or why it happened, but one day to another, WMP won't open. I tried to open an MP3 file, and he says that WMP has not been correctly configured "Windows Media Player is not installed correctly and must be reinstalled. Do you want to install the player from the Microsoft Website? ».

I assumed that since I had to make some updates yesterday, that he was at fault, it had installed an update/new version of WMP and it was either buggy or doesn't work do not, so I went to the Windows updates, but no recent updates on the list had a remote connection with Windows Media Player.

So, I accept the first proposal of the error message, and I'm headed to the Windows Media Player download page on the Microsoft Website. However, the version I should install (which was the one I already had) has Windows Media Player 12 for Windows 7. But this option is locked for me, and as I tried to install it, it says it is not compatible with my system. Not to mention, it's a whole package and not just the WMP installation.

I tried everything and nothing seems to work. It won't even let me uninstall WMP because it won't let me open.

My OS is Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit. And the error messages that I get to try to launch any WMP feature (the tool, the installation program, no matter what), opens an error window stating that "there is a more recent version of Windows Media (12.0.7601.18150) player already installed on your computer. It is not possible to use and more old (12.0.7601.17514) installation package to install files or repair your current version of the reader. »

Please, I ask for any intervention in this case.

This arises from time to time, but I don't think that there is a difficulty of 100%.

You can try (in no particular order)

    1. uninstall, reboot, reinstall WMP- http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/26107/how-to-reinstall-windows-media-player-in-windows-7-to-solve-problems/ if that doesn't help, try a SFC/scannow check - http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929833
    2. There is this diagnostic tool - http://support2.microsoft.com/mats/windows_media_player_diagnostic/ that can help (from http://support2.microsoft.com/fixit/en-us?wa=wsignin1.0 )
    3. You could try a system restore to a date before the problem occurred to see if that helps - http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/system-restore-faq#1TC=windows-7 and see if it gets a WMP work back
    4. Last resort, a repair install - http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/3413-repair-install.html
    5. Or just simply forget about WMP and try another party 3rd multimedia player that you can install and uninstall at will, as free VLC - http://www.videolan.org/vlc/

But it may be worth waiting a while to see if someone else has a better solution.

  • Windows Media Player is not installed correctly and must be reinstalled. You want to install the Player from the Microsoft Web site?

Running Windows 7 home Premiun 64 x. Click to open the program the message pop up "Windows Media Player is not installed correctly and must be reinstalled. You want to install the Player from the Microsoft Web site? "that it takes to the site and there is no available media player Windows 7, installed WMP 11 does not work either. Tried to turn on and back on... did not work

Do you remember the last time that your Media Player worked properly?  You can use the system restore (type it in the start menu to find) to go back on this point.  This restoration takes about 2 minutes and will not affect your files - no matter how far you go.  It simply restores your system files and settings.

  • Where to install the agents?

    Hello

    I now architecture:
-Server 1 - ODI installed with the Server option
-Client 1 - installed ODI with the customer option
-Client 2 - installed ODI with the customer option

-Server 2 - DB Oracle installed - ODI repositories created
-3 Server - Oracle DB - source system
-Server 4 - MS SQL Server - source system
-5 - Oracle DB server - target system

I do not know where to install the agents for this architecture:
    -on server 1?
    or
-on 3 or 4 (source systems) servers
    or
    -the Server 5 (target system)

What solution will be the best in this case?

    Thanks in advance!

It is best to install the agent as close to the target as possible. So, in your case, it will be on Server 5.
In addition, since you don't have only one target, then you have the advantage that you can install only one officer and it works.
Just keep in mind, that during the installation of the agent on the Server 5
Server2 and server4 serveur3 must be visible to Server 5.

To further explain the above statement,
We have Filesystems FS1, FS2, on which the source files are located.
And the agent is on ORADB1 that is the target Oracle DB. FS1 and FS2 file systems are visible to the system on which ORADB1 is installed and that is why the agent on ORADB1 can also see file systems and so access the files for processing.

I can't install the driver of DVD HD Toshiba for Windows 7-64 bit 4.60.03 from 30/11/09!

The facility will be cancel information that the software cannot be installed on this system.

Problem is that the file that you downloaded is not the player but just an update.
Usually, you should be able to install player designed for Vista and install this updated level, but eventually I can see, Toshiba doesn't offer HD DVD player for Vista 64-bit.

I assume that your laptop comes with Vista 32 bit only. Am I right about that?
