Cancel a print requet

I have a HP Officejet Pro 8600 and I'm not able to get a print cancel request.  I'm not able to get anything to print that this request is in Quebec and I can't gt to cancel.  I run on Windows 8.1.  Please notify.  Thank you!

Hello

From the desktop, hold down the Windows key and press R.  In the run window, type services.msc and press to enter.  Scroll down to the print spooler service, right click and select Properties, then click the Stop button.  Now search for C:\Windows\System32\Spool\PRINTERS, then delete the work inside this folder - you may need to click a command prompt to get the authority to open the PRINTERS folder.

Restart the computer and you should find that the documents have been deleted.

Kind regards

  • Canceling a print job

Any time I need to cancel/delete a print job, I'm sitting in limbo! I cancel properly and he claims that 'delete'... but it takes FOREVER!   Why? Help!

You cancel from your operating system or from the button cancel on the printer?  If the latter, the computer will continue to send the job to the printer, but it is ignored.  A faster method would be to cancel the print job from the printer, then cancel the job from the computer.

  • Printer 8625 - how to cancel a print job on the printer itself?

My last HP printer had a "stop" button that I used to cancel a print job.

(Sometimes while printing, you notice something is wrong and want to stop.)

I know how to do it on the software, but which may take 1-2 minutes to find the icon, open the print dialog box, identify the doc and hit Cancel.  Then 10 pages continued to go out.

On any 8620 series all-in-one, is there a way to stop the print job from the printer itself?

I read all messages, manuals, FAQ, and there is no info about this simple thing.  Very frustrating.

Hello! Welcome to the @kmmo forums

I read your post about how you want to cancel a print job from the printer. I would like to know if you see an "X" on the screen of the printer, the print job is in progress and if so, try pressing the 'X' and which should cancel the job.

  • cancel the print job on HP Officejet Pro 8610

How to cancel a print job on my HP Officejet Pro 8610... There is no X or cancel on the LCD screen.  How to cancel the task once it starts?

PC: Asus desktop computer; Windows 7; 64-bit process.

    Hi Bestbill,

There are 2 ways to cancel the printjob.

    (1) you can open the printer spooler (located at the bottom right of your system) and cancel the job from there.

    (2) you can cancel via the control panel.

    • If you have opinions, when you send a printjob down to the printer, the upper part of the control panel will display a message "X now print...". »
    • Press to this message 'X now... print '. "and it will take you to the screen with only this message and an 'X' at the bottom left.
    • Click on the 'X' in the lower left, and the printjob is cancelled.

    I hope this works.

  • Cancel the print job

Lets say I start a print job, but realize that it's more time that I waited and I just want to cancel the print job. How can I put an easy to get to the icon, link job etc command it is quickly available to cancel the job, rather than the 3-step process to go to printer, right click then click on Cancel. My Canon printer had an easy to get to the screen displayed while it was printing showing the progression of printing on a bar graph % of the complete work, and then a job box just cancellation there on the Info Panel. I REALLY miss this function on this HP 7520. I might have reconsidered the purchase if I knew that I had to jump through hoops to make a cancellation. I know that HP wants you to use more ink, but to cancel printing so "indisponibilitee" is the s pot! And or delete a print job

  • HP ENVY 5660: Digital Photo cancelled Mid-printing

I got this HP Envy 5660 for a month now without any problems.  So far, I had no problem printing of photos, but now whenever I print a photo 4 x 6, the printer will get to the final inch or so of photo paper and then cancel the print.  The touchscreen little actually say "Printing cancelled" and the last inch of my picture is not printed.

I tried all the reset of the printer plant and withdrawal/reinstally driver.  This is only a problem when printing pictures of one of my PC under Windows 7.  If I place a photo on the scanner and re - print a photo, the entire photo is printed without any problems.

Well, I don't know how, but I seem to have solved the problem.  I have uninstalled/reinstalled the drivers twice and things were still screwed up.  Finally, I have uninstalled something with "HP" in the name, deleted all trace of the files/folders with "CV" in them in and checked to make sure that all the printer drivers have been removed under the print management console.

Except, this time I chose to install the base instead of the «full features» driver driver

I seem to be able to print photos correctly again.
