  If for some reason you cannot withdraw the authorization of ADE, follow the steps below:

  Windows:

  Click Start > run.

  Open, type regedit in the text box and press ENTER. The Registry Editor opens.

  In the left pane of the registry editor, find the following registry key:

  HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Adobe\Adept

  Right click on the key to the follower, and then choose Remove.

  In the dialog box confirm the key deletion, click OK.

  Your permission is removed.

  Try to use one of the following free products to remove the file/folder.  Unlocker to: http://www.softpedia.com/get/System/System-Miscellaneous/Unlocker.shtml or file Assassin http://www.malwarebytes.org/fileassassin.php (with or without forcing the deletion: http://www.mydigitallife.info/2008/12/27/force-delete-cannot-delete-locked-or-in-used-files-or-folders-with-fileassassin/). These programs often work when normal functions remove Vista not work correctly.

  If it still does not work, try to start in safe mode (repeatedly press F8 during the boot process until the menu appears) and try to use these products to delete the file in safe mode.

  I see all my files and folders, but the thumbnails are missing and when I try to actually open a file, a message informs you that I don't have permission to access.

  I tried to click with the right button on the files and changing the security, property, sharing and options, all to nothing does not.

  I tried a few ways to restore my files too, but nothing works.

  Same problem here after restoring a file backup of Windows Vista to a new installation of Windows 7. This solution worked for me: go to the command prompt, change the drive or a directory, you have problems with and type this:

  ICACLS * / reset/t

  Edit: You need to start the command prompt as an administrator to do. Find it in the start menu, then right click and choose 'run as administrator '. Then use the command as shown above.

  I installed ADE years and activated with an e-mail from a former employer now.

  I get the message "your password is incorrect" when I try to delete permission.

  I have not access to the e-mail account more (the company is bankrupt), so I can't reset the password.

  I don't mind losing my old content.

  I would REALLY like to be able to access the $ 100 of content that I bought today. I'd be quite happy to be just able to read not only once!

  I tried uninstalling and reinstalling, but it keeps the authorization information "obsolete".
