  I have to do a ground up to Windows 7, re - install media re-installing Win7 provided, due to the failure of the hard drive (so no available recovery partition).  The machine is a XPS 9000 (circa 2010).   The first phase (partitioning, file copy and extraction) works very well.  However, when I restart in Windows for the first time since the hard drive, I get a message that Windows install can not configure Windows to my hardware.  The only option is to recognize and to restart (which gives the same message).  Subsequent reboots just to say that the Windows installation cannot be completed and restart to install Windows.

  Clues to this topic?  I have no new hardware in the machine which would be incompatible with this disc to re - install (admittedly old and probably non - SP1).  I wonder if the drive is missing in fact support that they put in the installation image factory.  My next step is to get a Dutch Win 7 installation disc (probably with SP1) to see if it works.  Other thoughts?

  Belarc Advisor only gives you the product key of the registry which, for installation OEM Dell will be a SLP key. This will be different from the key on the COA and can be activated manually by entering it during installation.

  The key on the certificate of authenticity can be introduced during the installation and this activation requires a call to Microsoft.

  Key/OEM SLP activation can be applied to a retail facility without a product key by using the program and cert ABR files which I saved for installs with the Dell reinstallation DVD:

  I managed to import of the FVO, logged on to the web client with default password, the pick-up system (ip, dns, gateway), correct information that I have inserted during the import, I put the additional host name and domain name information, and then click Next.

  A guarded error message appeared-> "IP/DNS cannot be resolved, please double-check the hostname, DNS and domain for validation of research forward and reserve."

  I then connect to the consolse, the ping to the DNS server, the domain name of ping, ping gw and all what it seems to be okay. I also tried to modify the hosts on server file and manually insert the dns server and the name of the host, the error still there.

  An advise please.

  In the administration of POS Guide, it indicates that the DNS server must support direct and reverse search.  It also gives steps to determine if DNS is configured correctly (see page 13-14).

• Cannot configure wrp400 for service HyperDog digital...

  I just had a wrp400 and signed for HyperDog Digitial service... I thought that the configuration would be easy because the router part of the wrp400 is really nice, a setting up quick and very quick start.

  Anyway, I stuck the username / password / auth id / HyperDog digital (for the PAP2) site of numbering plan and... no dice.

  Are there changes to the numbering plan that need to be made... or what... (?)

  Make sure that the proxy settings is correct. If you have a router in front of these wrp400 then you need to forward ports on the router. Also try to see if changing the NAT mapping will operate.

  Documentation is indeed a good source of information for beginners, tutorials are especially useful as it is much more useful to actually do you these steps and hit some problems then fix them.

  Once you go beyond the basic tutorials, I have reccommendlooking through the examples of applications that they are intended to give you an introduction about the specifics of the cascades and hopefully inspire you for your own app development.

  There is also the knowledge base articles that address common problems and we hope give some guidance.

• Cannot configure 7410 for wireless network

  I have a 7410 that I hooked up to a cable for several years but have just moved my office and need to set up a wireless network. Modem, router and computers are fine, but the printer does not have a wireless option, even if it is a wireless printer. I went to the help section and saw that I needed to hit the installer, 8 and 4, that is not problem, except in the network menu, I have only 1, 2 or 3.

  Does anyone know where is my 4 (wireless configuration)?

  Return to the Ethernet cable option - your Windows machine will complain of limited connectivity, but it's OK.

  Once your computer gets an IP address (it will be in the form 169.254.x.y), then open web page internal printer by accessing its IP address.  Select network, wireless (802.11) and then advanced.  Activate the wireless link and click on apply.

  If you do not find the wireless section of the 7410 internal web page, then your printer is ignored and is not a radio.

  FxV will attempt to send data to the first IP address (you listed two FMS server IP addresses). If sending fails at the first IP address then FxV will attempt to send data to the second IP address. Data will be sent only to one of the two listed IPS.

  Outings to start to write some Aboriginal stunts based apps.  First off is always supported and strengthened Cascades / maintains. What development environment is best for Cascases / native development. I am very familiar with Android Studio, Eclipse and Visual Studio. Momentics still supported and that of using or moving to the Visual Studio plugin? Who has the best features in terms of aid to development for native applications and the productivity of developers?

  Cascades is the library preferred for native development, then Yes, it is still maintained and will be for the foreseeable future. If you are familiar with eclipse you'll feel at home with Momentics, which is a custom eclipse build specfically for the development of Cascades/Native BB10. There is also a plugin for Visual Studio, but almost everyone posting here uses Momentics BB10 development.

  Personally, I much prefer Visual Studio, eclipse, I always felt suffers greatly from trying to be a Jack-of-all-trades and have been cooked over a long period of too many heads. Don't look under the hood of the eclipse unless you want to tear your hair into small pieces. That said, my first attempt to use the VS plugin didn't look good, and I quickly discovered there is not much here that can help you with it. I would recommend that you go the Momentics road despite its many flaws.

• Hardware Certification - audit gives an error "cannot run processSetup for configuration: cannot run createHOMObj for configuration: no GuestOS section in the XML file.

  I tried to set the session established the IPs VMs / host / FQDN / VM names

  but each time got the error "cannot run processSetup for configuration: cannot run createHOMObj for configuration: no GuestOS section in the XML file.

  I changed the names VMS in vCenter for FQDN and it solved the problem.

  C/C++ native Development Kit is everything you need to encode a native C/C++ application to run on the BlackBerry PlayBook and the next BlackBerry 10 devices. The API described should give you everything you need to develop all the components of your application, from the ground up. If you have an existing application, you can probably start here. This SDK is ideal for access to the low-level API.

  However, it does not come with a user interface toolkit. You have literally everything code yourself, or help existing libraries to the port for you. You probably don't want to do. Instead, you can watch the C + c++ / Qt Cascades Development kit. This SDK provides you with everything you need to develop an application for BlackBerry 10 devices to come. You can still access all the low-level APIs, if you need it, but because Qt adds so much and is so powerful, almost everything you need is probably already there.

  Basically, Qt will provide you with the API call and use in your application. These libraries are open source which have been reviewed for many years and will probably accomplish everything you need. Go further, Cascades is the toolkit of user interface of choice in the native development, as it offers UIS amazing, fluid and easy implementation in your application.

  Note that I never mentioned the PlayBook by discussing the C + c++ / Cascades of Qt kit. The PlayBook is not supported with native support for this mode of development, but it will come with 10 BlackBerry is released later this year.

  Basically, the native C/C++ SDK provides you with the nuts and bolts, you must develop an application from scratch. But why would you, when C + c++ / Qt Cascades Development kit includes many libraries for things you probably want to do.

  Unless you develop a game, a porting library, or the need to develop for the PlayBook today, using C + c++ / Qt Cascades development kit.
