Cannot connect Web site using the browser of Toshiba 32RL958

Maybe this should not be «so smart TV...» »

Trying to connect to any site that requires that a password fails. I know that I do not use the wrong password, but according to the website I am returned to the login screen or stay on as "guest".

Any ideas please. I'm starting to get rather cut with what does not intelligent overall.

Not clear why this is happening but maybe the browser can't save the cookie that is often necessary to connect to a Web site.
Check in the settings, if something like this can change, but as much as I know the Internet browser via television does not provide the same options and performance as a common browser like internet explorer, chrome or firefox.
You wait too long in most cases that you can use it only for common navigation and reading. For more activities smart tv, you need to use the apps.

  • How to prevent the FF loading all Web sites using the HTTPS protocol

FF is trying to load initially all Web sites using the HTTPS protocol, including of mozilla.org. Then I get the error of no reliable connection of course. Mozilla .org is the "invalid security certificate" and "the issuer of the certificate is unknown." I tried to delete the file cert8.db as suggested elsewhere but that did not help. If there is an option for this somewhere, I can't find it. I have the latest version of FF and Win7 running. Thanks for the help.

There must be some sites that are still using a secure connection, as http://www.amazon.com/. If even a link to Amazon is redirected, you can check if you have an extension like HTTPS Everywhere.

For Mozilla sites, Yes, you establish a secure connection.

But you shouldn't get certificate errors! When you get this for virtually all secure sites, the problem is usually as follows:

    (1) error of date, time, or time zone who throw checks validity of the certificates of your system. Sometimes allowing to use a timesource on the internet, the computers can introduce this problem.

    (2) not be set up to work with your security software that intercepts and filter secure connections from Firefox. Products with this feature include Avast, BitDefender, ESET, Kaspersky; AVG has a shield search function which can cause this error on search sites.

    (3) malicious software on your system for the interception of secure connections.

    So... who is?

If you have any of these specific security products, which would be the first thing to check. We might be able to help with specific next steps based on what you have if you tell us.

Alternatively, you can examine the certificate to which Firefox is opposed to see if the issuer information pointing to the culprit. Take for example my test page:

    https://jeffersonscher.com/RES/jstest.php

You should see a section "I understand the risks" in the page. If you expand this section, you will find a button Add Exception. You don't need to complete the process of adding an exception (I suggest not adding one until we know that it is not a problem of malware), but you can use the dialog box to display the information that makes Firefox suspicious.

Click Add an Exception, and then view. If the view is not enabled, try first the button get certificate. Then in the certificate Viewer, refer to the section "issued by". What do you find here, or under the hierarchy of certificates? I have attached a screenshot for comparison of screen.

  • Cannot connect to PayPal using the overdraft facility

Whenever I try to pay for something (online shopping) by using the PayPal cheque made on another Web site, it will not open a session. I enter my email address and password and just get an error message saying wrong password or e-mail address, even though I know that both are correct. I can connect to PayPal using the facility successfully using Internet Explorer without any problem. I can also connect to PayPal successfully if I go on its website (www.paypal.com.au) in Firefox.

I tried to clear the cache and cookies associated with Pay Pal, but that did not help at all.

This problem occurred for months and is quite frustrating.

I'm using Firefox 48.0.2 (current version). All my extensions and plug-ins are up-to-date. Using Windows 7.

Update: the problem is probably caused by an extension/add on. I don't know which yet. I can only test it when I buy something, where the reason why it takes me a while to understand.

Next time I buy something online, I'll test on all extensions / add ons until I find the one who is the cause of the problem. Once I figure out I'll post an answer here.

    Thanks for your help :)

  • Cannot access the microsoft Web site using any browser

    Access Web sites

Try all 3 browsers... Chrome IE7 and Mozilla. I can't to any microsoft Web site. No problem to do anything else.

With Chrome... I get OOPS! and an error message. IE7 displays a page similar to AI "browser down" page and just microsoft

    sites.

    Thanks for any info

I can't to any microsoft Web site.

Sounds like a DNS issue.   Use nslookup to check.   Use ping n 1 w 1 to attempt to cache a browser search.  Use ipconfig/displaydns to check if the search is cached.   A problem with many Microsoft research is that they have several alias and have very short life values.   It is very difficult to take any advantage of cached searches.  An alternative is to substitute the search using your HOSTS file, but then the IP addresses of host Microsoft tend to be transitory.  In fact, this point suggests something to check first: make sure that there are no replacement of microsoft in your HOSTS file.   Remove them and do an ipconfig/flushdns, if there is.   ; )

  • Cannot create a shortcut on the desktop for a Web site in the browser Firefox Tor

I am a user of Tor Browser, and I love the interface of Firefox. According to my page, my Firefox browser is up-to-date. But for some reason I can't save shortcuts to office for a Web site. Whenever I drag the icon beside a Web site (variously a glob, a green bolt and other icons), I get a mouse icon of denial no matter where I try to put the web shortcut on the desktop. This happens even when I drag the bookmarks of my bookmark bar! My guess is that something is blocked in Tor allowing no shortcuts settings. Any suggestions on where the parameters of the shortcuts are in Firefox?

Fred, all other modules worked well. I contacted the people of Tor, and they were unsure of what's going on. I've pasted their response below, but the short answer is that they have me just save shortcuts manually from the office whenever the Tor Button is active. Thanks for your help, you've been great!

Drag events filtering and blocking the external application

External applications can be induced to load files that perform network
activity. Unfortunately, there are cases where these applications can be launched
automatically with little or no user intervention. To avoid this,
Torbutton installs a component to provide the user with a popup when
the browser is trying to launch a helper application.

In addition, modern desktop computers now preemptively look for all URLS in drag
and events move as soon as the drag is initiated. This download happens
independently Tor browser setting and can be triggered by
something as simple as holding the mouse button for a little too
time by clicking a link to the image. Filter us drag and drop events
events of Torbutton before the OS downloads the URL contained events.

The specified 12px font size seems not to be very large, so maybe this will increase a little in case a small font is used by Firefox.

You just right-click and select "Inspect element" to open the Inspector (Firefox/tools > Web Developer) with the selected item.
You can check the font used for the text selected in the tab fonts in the right pane of the Inspector.

  • Web page using the browser of centering

    Hello

I created my web page for screen resolution 800 x 600.

When a spectator to my Web page put their screen at a higher resolution, say 1152 x 864, my web page moves to the left side of the screen, leaving a blank space on the right.

How can I get my web page to stay in the centre, i.e. the middle of the screen, when a higher resolution is used by the Viewer. I noticed that microsoft.com has achieved this when my resolution is greater than 800 x 600.

    Thanks for any help.

2 days ago, I could see the site Web of CDC...

I can view the site without any problems, so I don't think it's to oppose the version of Firefox. This forum is picking up your User Agent string and that seems to be correct - something which causes problems on some sites when it is incorrect.

Please try the alternative of cache for this site using the shortcut key Ctrl + F5, while, on this site and also erase cookies from this site.

It seems strange that they warn on the display of the site with an outdated browser. They offer a version of the site insecurity themselves. It's not like you're interacting with the site and pay money or connect.
