  I think a number of things are colliding together. Looks like your main concern is that pasted files are to be resized to fit existing document limits, correct?

  There is an option in the preferences to disable this behavior. Do you know if you have this option unchecked

  You see the edges when you deselect the option? It seems that yoou see the bounding box, which will be for each object.

  And you don't lose detail when plaicng an file, even if your preiew cannot show it. are you affect the performance of high quality display? the default setting is typical, which is a proxy low resolution.

  I have a group of vector shapes to stick in a rounded corner box. This art is grouped.

  What I tried:

  -create the rounded corner box I want the art inside

  -cut art

  -Edition > paste inside

  It worked, but I didn't know how to move the work once it was pasted in the form. With the direct Selection tool, I could move individual objects, but not the Group of objects. Any ideas?

  Yopu do not mention the version ID, which makes a difference here.

  Stick in there is correct. In CS5, you can then use the grabber donut content to move the group within the frame. In all versions, you should be able to choose the frame, then use object > select > content for the group, or use the button for the control panel. Before CS5, you need to use the arrow keys or grasp the central point with the mouse to move the group.

• Copy / paste don't work in Indesign after Psd/AI upgrade to 2015

  I made the mistake of upgrading photoshop and illustrator to 2015 CC. I no has not upgraded Indesign yet because Indesign has historically not well with earlier versions of Indesign. Now, I can't do the simple copy and paste operation. In fact, I don't think it was fair to InDesign, but I had some problems with photoshop, the inability to copy and paste to the other program (such as photoshop for IA/id). I can't recreate the bug of photoshop constantly copy paste, but the copy and paste since indesign is completely broken.

  Anyone else run into this or similar problems after the upgrade?

  UPDATE: I installed InDesign 2015 as well (while keeping the Indesign 2014 version and still, can not copy and paste. I should be more specific. I can cut, but it will not stick to anything (text, shapes, etc.). of in indesign. I can copy and paste to Notepad in indesign, but no indesign on. I can't copy a form in indesign and paste another in the same document (or different documents). I can use ctrl + click and drag to duplicate.

  My systems admin just walked by and I asked about the formatting of my machine, only the when he said there was an update of Microsoft 2 days ago what he just rolled back this morning.

  I'm trying to animate a logo of sequels. The logo has three letters I consists of forms of arrow. I would like to as forms of arrow to increase in height, but I have simply no idea how sequels. I should draw the shape in AE? Can I import vector shapes? The shape of the logo is attached below. I wish that each arrow to grow in the series from the smallest to the largest. Maybe someone can explain how to animate one of the arrows, and I can build on it to animate the rest of forms?

  There are several ways to do so. One is to animate the track of layer or shape mask. The other is to create a work in layers in Illustrator with arrow shapes which are longer than necessary, then must animate. If the work is already created, it would be useful to know how it was done. If you want to create shapes from scratch then you can just copy each of the arrow shapes using the feather in AE, or using other drawing tools. Another solution would be to create a triangle and a rectangle, and then animate the position of the triangle and the scale of the rectangle. The only thing that is a type of constant in the project, is that each layer that is a different color, probably, should be unique.

  Looking for special characters in link names. I think that only dashes and underscores (maybe a few others) are allowed in file names. Also look for foreign language characters.

  If your Illustrator illustration is vector of 100% and contains no live effects, complex gradients, blends, etc., the first thing to try is copy > paste special > enhanced metafile.

  Otherwise, SPE may work, or you can use the pixelation in PNG. Personally, I do not consider export raster format Illustrator to be a stable workflow method, so I'd be inclined to use Photoshop as an intermediate step: Illustrator > Save As PDF > open in Photoshop > save in PNG. Just my preference.

  -Opacity everything must be 100%

  -All the blending Modes must be set to 'Normal '.

  Hi, I hope IM able to explain my situation correctly.

  The thing is that I did several vector shapes in Illustrator, of course I forgot to save the .ai and then my mac is out of power and lost the document.

  BUT before that the mac is out of power I imported Photoshop shapes, and now throw out there like vector shape layers. Is it possible for me to export vector shape layers in illustrator and retain editability of vector?

  I would be very grateful for any help!

  Nevermind I figured it, the solution was to double click on the smart vector layer in photoshop, and it will automatically open the shape in illustrator.

  Is there a way of blurring vector shapes in Photoshop, similar to the way in which Illustrator, bypassing the rasterization of the layer? I work with a very large file that has been reduced from 300 DPI to 50 to handle everything working. Before sending to the printer, I'm going to sclae at 300 dpi. The rasterized images will soften as you know who I think is ok when it comes to a blurred form, now that I think about it. But for later use?

• Copy and paste from word in InDesign - foreign characters

  I have a Word file using fonts foreign, Chinese, Korean etc.. I have the fonts on my computer because the word document shows them OK... but, if I try to copy and paste the text into InDesign, these characters that either don't watch any or you just get the color pink with small gray squares... Anyone out there has advice for how to manage this kind of situation.

  Oooh, OK. I get my finger-waving caution.

  It could be a number of different things. I almost always place instead of copy and paste, but I have no trouble copy & paste text of complex script of any sort in any of my different versions and platforms. I figure that there are two different ways - is it something about implementing folds or Clipboard which this (which means it could be decompressed exactly in the same way as any police drop, no complex-script knowledge required) or there is something about the no Latin text itself that causes the problem. Take a look at the Clipboard (Edit-> preferences-> Clipboard handling) settings to see if these settings solves the problem by changing the settings of plain text for example.

  If this does not work, I would say showing a lot more detail. Platform, versions of Word and Indy, the specific policies are a failure, a description of the way styles are implemented in the current Word and Indy docs, maybe a sample of the doc Word and Indy zipped and made available for testing (for example if I can successfully copy and paste in the RFSO when your username cannot) (, there is something wrong with the installation of the user), and so on. Without such information, the best I can do is take random speculation.
