Cannot download Playbook Simulator

When I try to download the Playbook Similator 0.9.4 (step 5) of http://us.blackberry.com/developers/tablet/adobe.jsp

I am able to log in, but then I get the message "Blackberry Developer Zone Loading... "and it stays there forever.

How can I get the latest version?

Only a standard router NAT where I am. After having tried several computers, I ended up creating a new ID, and he I redirected to the appropriate download page. Not sure why my main ID is not letting me download.

Thanks for your help.

    can anyone help, thanks

    Hi icuviper,

    Thanks for posting your question.

    Try these troubleshooting steps.

    1. open the control panel (in classic mode), and then choose Add new hardware.

    2. click Next, and then "Yes, I've already attached the new material", and then click Next again.

    3. scroll down, click on 'Add new hardware' (or something similar), and then click Next.

    4. "choose manually from a list", and then click Next.

    5. click on Ports (COM & LPT), click Next.

    6. in the left part, choose (Standard port types), on the right side, choose the communication port. Click Next, and then click Next again.

    7. you will get a message saying that the device is installed but not working may not. (Of course since we really did not add any material). Click Finish.

    8. open the Device Manager by holding down the Windows logo key and press the keypad lock. Select the material (or is it devices?) tab, and then click the button Device Manager.

    9. scroll the page up to Ports (COM & LPT) and expand it. You should now see a port for communication with a yellow and black! on this subject. In parentheses, it must be said the number this Com port is now in your system. For me, it's (COM4).

    10. open Notepad (or your favorite text editor). And paste the following text:

    Code:

    Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\HARDWARE\DEVICEMAP\SERIALCOMM]
    '\\Device\\Serial0"="COM4 '.

Then replace the COM4 in the end with your number of ports Com as "COM1", if it must be different.

11 save the file as fms_com_port_fix.reg to your desktop (or anywhere).

    12. go to your desktop, and then double-click the file. Approve your entire system can give you security warnings.

This should be FMS should now start for you.

WARNING: before you edit the registry, export the registry keys that you want to edit, or back up the whole registry. If a problem occurs, you can then follow the steps described in the section "Restore the registry" to restore the registry to its previous state. To back up the whole registry, use the backup utility to back up the system state. The system state includes the registry, the base of COM class registration + and your startup files.

    @jmace

I just tested your batch file and it works perfectly fine on my installation. No errors.

Have you tried to reinstall the Simulator? I had to install and uninstall 3 times until I'm mining work. Not the same problem, but worth a try maybe.

  • PlayBook Simulator - missing all icons, features etc.

I downloaded the Simulator playbook and runing am through VMWare... but I don't see not all icons, can't use the browser etc.

    screenshot:

The Simulator is limited at this stage to deal purely with AIR apps only? or is there a problem with my installation.

I was hoping to test the functionality of the browser for certain web applications, HTML5 etc before going into a java application development.

    Thank you!

    Thank you!

Yes.  Currently the BlackBerry PlayBook Simulator can be used only to test custom air applications.

  • Problem adding Playbook Simulator to Eclipse

Last night, I downloaded VMWare and the current version of the Playbook Simulator.  The Simulator works very well and I went into the settings and enabled debugging and confirmed the IP address in the security settings.  I also install the password.  My problem is when I go into Eclipse to add the Simulator.  I tried to make debugging and preferences.  I first tried the automatic detection, but he was unable to find it.  I then he entered manually with the IP address and the password, but it does not work as well.  I tried with both the Simulator runs also with stop you it, and same result.  Also, I tried to ping the ip address from a command prompt so that the Simulator was running and failed.  Thinking it could be a firewall issue, temporarily, I disabled my firewall and antivirus but get the same result.  I also tried a reboot of my PC with no luck.  I'm out of ideas and would welcome any advice I can get.

    Thank you!

I realized what the problem was.  We won't have the IP address in the settings menu.  On the home screen there is an icon that you can click on that will tell you it's in development mode and it will give you the real IP address.  Hope this helps someone else who had the same problem.

  • BlackBerry Playbook Simulator ISO 2.0

Is there an ISO for the 2.0 playbook Simulator file?  I try to install on VirtualBox that my computer cannot run the latest version of vmware Player.

    Thank you.

Why not just try? Which will give you an answer more reliable than to go really what anyone else. As I said, I thought the Simulator had previously worked with VirtualBox, but I am not certain about it.

  • Configure the playbook Simulator

    Hello

I just downloaded the playbook Simulator and I see it's a vmx file. I have to pay for a license of VMWare?

    Thank you.

    JB

You'll need VMWare Fusion on Mac. It requires the license.
VMWare Player is free for a personal use but Windows only.

  • PlayBook Simulator included in the SDK WebWorks for Mac does not start

Hi, I downloaded and installed the WebWorks BlackBerry SDK for Tablet OS for Mac from http://us.blackberry.com/developers/tablet/webworks.jsp . I have VMWare Fusion installed 3.1.2. I used the beta3 .iso Installer to create a virtual machine, and it worked very well. Open the bbwp/blackberry-tablet-sdk/BlackBerryPlayBookSimulator-1.0.1/BlackBerryPlayBookSimulator.vmx file load VMWare Fusion and adds a virtual machine named "BlackBerry PlayBook Simulator" in my VM library. When I try to 'turned on' virtual machine, nothing happens. The power seems to be on for two seconds and turns off the virtual machine. I can't find all the lines from log in Console.app. the 'Virtual Machine'-> 'Force Start Up' menu is no help either. I download the stand-alone "BlackBerry PlayBook Simulator for Mac", that is also marked v1.0.1 but I am not optimistic if it is delivered as a set of folders VMware. Please do not make me run the PlayBook Simulator in a virtual Windows XP machine!

    Hi jaschroe,

Try to manually copy the folder BlackBerryPlayBookSimulator - 1.0.1 to another location on your Mac and then try to open this copy of the VMX file in VMware Fusion. (No need to re - install).

  • How to install app world on Playbook Simulator?

Hi, did anyone know if it is possible to install App World on a Playbook Simulator? I need to browse only the new playbook applications and see the recommended list, this cannot be accomplished by looking at the site of app world.

As far as I know, it is not possible.

  • Download Playbook apps

Is it possible to download download Playbook apps to install on your Simulator?  I have an App World account that is currently bound to my "BOLD", so when I try to download an app, it says that the app is not compatible with my device.  Should I create a separate account for the Playbook?

I think it would be interesting to load a few applications that I téléchargerais even when once I get a Playbook in my Simulator to test my applications in an environment with other applications.  Not a show stopper by any means, but I think it would be interesting.

App World does not recognize the browser on the Simulator.  So you can't right now.

    Hey tony,.

your best bet will probably be to re - download, extract and install again. How much space you set the virtual disk have? Try the 8 GB configuration and see if that helps the next installation. Good luck!

  • Cannot download because a low disk space

iMac, 10.11.6, 1 TB SSD, Time machine.

Cannot download files because of lack of disk space. I have 700 GB of free space on boot SSD.

Never had this problem before 10.11.6 and recent security update.

I disabled Time Machine and you've restarted.

    Any suggestions?

In desperation I tried to use Google Chrome to download my file. No problem, even if he went, for some reason, to the My Documents folder. Maybe the problem is in the Safari 9.1.3.

  • error iTunes cannot download episodes of your workflow.

iTunes gives forllowing error when I try to add.

Cannot download episodes of your workflow.

    The feed url is http://www.midmarket.org/feeds/midmarketradio/itunes

Not sure why it can not download feeds. Can someone help me to solve it.

    Thank you.

You have introduced a fatal error in your workflow that makes it unreadable. The first tag "description" in line 13 reads:

< description > The Hub for Midsize Companies, sellers and Capital providers and influencers worldwide < / description >

You can not have an ampersand ('& ') by itself in food as in XML, it means the beginning of a sequence of code. Since this is never done, it looks like RSS readers as if the rest of the food is the code. You need to replace it with either the word "and" or the code

    & amp;

like you did in a number of other instances. I have not checked to see if there are any other loose ampersands in animal feed.

There is another point that may well cause problems. Your enclosure tags only contain the URL of the media file. The need also to contain the 'length' and 'type' attribute, like this:

< pregnant url = length of 'THE URL OF THE MEDIA FILE for the FULL EPISODE' = 'FILE SIZE in BYTES' type = 'for AN MP3 - audio/mpeg"/ >

The attribute 'length' can not so important with the store, but the 'type' to recognize the file.

In addition, your media files are hosted on Amazon and use the protocol https (secure connection). This is not recommended; If in each case, you change the https protocol to http, it should still work. There has been problems with the use of Amazon, so if you still have problems after you correct the two points above which would be the next place to look.

  • Cannot download the software due to a network problem

Hi all I'm on MacBook Pro (retina, 15 inches, end of 2013).
I try to install Windows 10 with the version downloaded from the Microsoft Web site.
I finished uploaded and am trying to use Boot Camp to install Windows 10.
However, I faced a question and it is that he "cannot download the software due to a network problem".
I'm stuck here for an hour and I can't find a solution.
I did all right until now by the following online tutorial but it prevents me to continue.
    Any help will be appreciated.
    Thank you.

It is a very common problem. To fix this, first try to start your Mac in safe mode by following these steps-> safe mode try if your Mac does not commissioning - Apple Support

Then, restart your Mac as usual and try to download the Windows support software again.
