• Problem installing Photoshop CS6 after computer crash.

  I bought the CS6 extended in 2012 and have been using it regularly.  Then, in the month of August, I had to reinstall after a computer crash.  For the last 30 days, when you use the softward. I was doing a popup that asks for my serial number, then it says serial number is good, but there is no such software in my computer.  Then a popup is offered which tells me to choose the appropriate program.  Photoshop CS6 is one of the choices, but not Photoshop CS6 extended.  The "test" of 30 days has expired, and now I'm locked out of Photoshop CS6 extended.

  I searched high and low on the forums but cannot find a solution.

  Can someone please help with this?  Photoshop is one of my most used tools.

  My computer crashed and I had to run the recovery disk, the repair option, so he could run again. It does not format my computer but I had to re - install several programs.   I would like to just say thank you for your help and the problem is now solved.  In the end I paid someone to sort it out.  He explained that it was something like permissions for some of my files were owned by my old operating system and after that my computer crashed and I had to put through the recovery disc these permissions have been lost.  He told me that he had a program that looked for the old existing and re-installed.

Since the objects in indesign CS6 palette shows nothing, that it is empty, even if the styles are still present in all of my archived documents.   We (our Church) purchased CS6 a few years ago, when we launched a new Web site.  Through some great location moves and computer crashes / new computers, the packaging and the discs of software was not found.   My computer crashed. A new and larger drive has been installed and the old disk (a lightroom was) have been erased and reformatted.

  Lightroom, I installed on my new drive and wen the startup I get a message stating that "... the serial number is already on the maximum limit of computers using. You must deacticate another computer... "I press 'continue' i.e. I have already deacticated... but I get the same message again.

  The current installation don't exchange not the number of facilities as much as should I do?

• Cannot open a file CS to CS4 after computer Crash

  Can anyone offer any help.

  When the graphics card broke on the motherboard - I have now removed the hard drive and in a cradle attached to a new computer, I was using my computer with my open, indesign CS files.

  The problem is I can't open the files on my new comp on CS4 - it says that "the file is already opened by another user or an application, the file can be stored on a network server and cannot be used until the user closes."

  I made sure all the files on the old drive are available via the Security tab of the new machine - I have also ensured that each individual record is able to be used by the new model.

  It seems that the file is in use and I do not know how to solve. I found references to the fact that the file may be locked in the file preference but I seem unable to find a satisfactory way (if it's actually the problem)

  It's probably hard as the incident happened on the other don't drive on the primary drive where the software CS4

  If you click on my name, you will go to my profile and you can send me a private Message. I'll send you the mode of sending the files for me and I'll try it here, but I don't have a lot of optimism. A failure of machine with open files is pretty serious.

  If nothing else, you should learn about backing up your files from there. I use an external hard drive and Acronis image (thought that there are other programs that will work too) to make an image of my hard drive to data every night. If there is a disaster I never lose work more than a day of. I also have my system disk image, where I keep the OS and programs, but less often because it doesn't change as often. Also, I used once or twice, to this image to recover from hard drive crashes in a matter of an hour or two instead of the day it would take to reinstall.
