  You need a USB FLASH DRIVE, you can transfer the files from the Recovery Console Windows Vista from any other pc or laptop running Windows Vista, go to the backup and restore on the other computer and click on create a drive recovery system on the file menu.   Hello, I actually paid $59.00 to Hp technical support to only know that when I buy this computer, it came with speakers, so I never received the special cable that was supposed to come with the computer to hear the sound of the computer/monitor itself. Everything on this computer works properly I just need to connect my speakers. I was trying just to hear the sound through the computer, but if I don't want to connect speakers, I'll have to buy that cord/cable wire necessary to do this. Google it and you can probably find ways to reconnect if possible. Good luck, I know how frustrating it can be.

  I just bought an Aspire E5 - 571 G-583R and I am trying to get a sound 5.1 from him. I connected the laptop HDMI to my home theater system that supports Dolby Digital and DTS, does not.   I really appreciate your efforts! However, I think I have solve it. I've manually updated Intel drivers to the latest version of intel.com. Who did the trick, almost :-)

  Now, I choose 5.1 sound, and when I tested with Netflix I got 5.1 sound! The strange thing is that when I test the individuall speakers in the sound Setup menu 'test' in the centre, sub and Sam all played in my two speakers 'stereo' main. Certainly, I can live with that because what really mathers for me to be able to watch movies and others in 5.1.

  Have you tried to increase the zoom? This is a good option if everything on the page, in addition to text, is too small. Just hit CTRL and + a few times to zoom in. CTRL and 0 will set the zoom back to normal.

  If you just want to change the font size, you should watch section of the Knowledge Base on the accessibility in Firefox - make Firefox and work of content for all users. There are lots of good information in there.

  OK a friend knows me to fix his laptop. Apparently what she was experiencing major problems, so he erased the disc and tried to reinstall Win Vista from disk. Will not work. I can get to where you can choose a partition to install the operating system to, and it says: Windows cannot find a system volume that meets its criteria for installation. My friend says he has just tried, form disassemble the computer an audit of all the parties to try ALL the different options during installation, as well as the options for the BIOS. Any ideas people? Here are the approximate specifications, because the owner has not been able to get the computer working for awhile:
  4 GHz, 4 GB RAM computer Gateway laptop, 2006, Phoenix TrustedCore, and a string of other interesting info that appears on the first screen of the error:

  I'm not very tech savy and I'm not the owner of the PC, so I don't know all about it so go easy on me :).

  If your friend tried to reinstall Windows by using the defined gateway recovery disc (and this is the best way) and this recovery fails, the laptop has hardware problems. Disassemble laptops is a fickle business at best and while it sounds like the hardware problems started before your friend did this, it may have put the nails in the coffin of the laptop to take apart.

  At this point, you can try troubleshooting hardware or your friend can take the laptop to a competent professional (not a type of BigComputerStore/GeekSquad of the place). However, if the laptop has had hard use, your friend must remember that a cell of 4 years with major hardware problems probably won't be cost effective to repair.
