Cannot install VmPlayer won't uninstall the previous b/c

Help

I had a problem this morning when my PC hung up while has been updated to VMPlayer. Now, after the reboot, etc, I can't update VMPlayer, the message being: the MSI "D:\TEMP\vmware_1336072165\vmware player.msi failed.

I tried to uninstall VMPlayer via Control Panel and get "MSI failed.

I tried 'repair' under control panel and he tells me to repair using original VMPlayer installed, which of course fails with the error.

How can I get VMPlayer uninstalled or upgraded to the new version, so it can work?

Right now, it won't work at all.

Thank you.

You don't mention what your host is the OS, but if it is Windows XP or Windows 7 you might do a system restore to a restore point before you had the problem with the drive.

Then you have a good chance to just remove cleanly.
