  Thanks for your help. I finally cracked. {tech support guy who set up my Mac for some strange reason renamed HDD {"/ /"}} * % no, I'm not swearing, he just decided to rename symbols such as random. Dreamweaver cannot open files that have symbols as their path name (I understand adobe dreamweaver help pages java script). As you can just rename a hard drive, I had to reformat my hard drive and start again at zero, but everything works fine now!

  My problem is now solved , but I'll never really know what it was.

  Because I did two things at once: I downloaded again CreativeCloudSet up.exe and, as with the CD install usually stopped during the installation of the Adobe help, I deleted the file "Adobe Help" from my computer and finally here's the installation worked.

  Corrupted file or folder "Help Adobe" that prevented the installation?

  In any case this kept me busy.

  I get this error when I try and open Dreamweaver CS6 Adobe... " Adobe Dreamweaver CS6" because the PowerPC applications are no longer supported.. I'm working on a week old MacBook Pro with the Mountain Lion.  We don't have a previous Dreamweaver installation, since this is a new computer. Thanks for any help.

  UPDATE - I was able to successfully install "Java SE 6 Runtime" by updating my Mac OS X version 10.9.2.  After updating my Mac OS X, I started Dreamweaver and received the same error message, but this time when I clicked on "install", he proceeded with the installation, and I was able to run Dreamweaver.

  I continued to try the link to apple support, and eventually, it worked for me. I did the installation and Dreamweaver CS6 now seems to work for me. Phew!

  I went from Dreamweaver CS6 to CC. It worked... now I can not open CC. I uninstalled and reinstalled.

  I had to use InDesign CC for a client project, so I bought a subscription for 2 months. The subscription is long now, but I can't open my original, owned, CS6. Whenever I try to open it, its says I need a subscription. CS6 is not part of the creative cloud, then I don't understand what could be the issue. Meanwhile, Im needing to do a project for a client and an Im paralyzed.

  I just thought of it. For me, the answer was simply you connecting on my Adobe account, which was still running. I then exit the creative cloud application. Now I can open InDesign CS6. Not sure why anyone tell in the older link you just posted. What a big mess CC is, IMO. Thank you.

  No, browser widgets is obsolete and the site who populated app in the browser is no more.

Tried all that I could find online, and then went on the customer support chat.  Chat for customer support people said just click on "continue" to the free trial version, but there is no button "continue".   When you attempt to start Adobe Dreamweaver CS6 on Windows Vista, the application does not start.

  It's good to have the packages working properly again.

  Here is what has been done to solve;

  a. Control Panel > uninstall - all with Adobe name in it (and I mean everything)

  b. visited c:\Program Adobe and deleted the files that might be deleted (11.0 Acrobat for a reason any would not even if it has been uninstalled).

  c. past user to an admin account and ran CCleaner to clean the registry.

  d. reset and connected as a normal user.

  e. visited Adobe.com and re-installed AAM and downloaed DW CS6. After installation - it works.

  f. downloaded FW CS6 and installed - it works very well also.

  I still don't know what caused it, but its gone and I am running CS6 DW and FW CS6 on a 32-bit Vista computer quite happily.

  I need to get acrobat back on here which could be a new problem which is too not cited as suitable for Vista, let's see.

  When I start CS6 and go to open Bridge - Bridge CS5 turns on and not the CS6 Bridge. The onley way I can open Bridge CS6 is to go to the Task Manager / processes and stops the .exe bridge

  You can remove safely from Bridge CS5 if you use is no longer. In this way it will have to use the Bridge CS6 when you try to open the bridge.

• I have download it but cannot open Extended CS6

  I use a Windows 7 laptop. I bought CS6 Extended Student edition a few days ago and had problems to receive the serial number. Once this has been resolved, I was told that I need to first download the trial. When I try to download the first file (Photoshop_13_LS16.7z) it download entirely but says that it cannot be opened.

  He then told me that I can use either a program on my computer to download or use one of the internet. I do not understand why not just open the file at the end. I can't open the second file that I need the other previously downloaded file. I am downloading from http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/policy-pricing/cs6-product-downloads.html which I got.

  You must download the files, the exe and the 7z.  Place both in the same folder and where both download is complete, click (or double-click on) the exe, not the 7z file.
