  Hi, I'm having a similar problem but have 1 idea as to why I can't open my .mswmm file. I have two xp machines running sp3, but a pro and a home edition if it matters.

  the file.mswmm I am trying to open was created on the moviemaker version 2.1.4028.0 and it still works fine on this machine. On the xp pro machine, he is Director of windows 2.1.4026.0.

  So I try to install the movie maker 28 to my other machine I have a lot of files created with the 28 I want to be able to change on the other computer.

  Moving from one computer to another can work if you move as best
  all of the source files. When you open the .mswmm file you will see
  Xs red instead of thumbnails of the source but if you right click the red Xs

  I was finally able to install the Windows Live Movie Maker. (I used the older version that came with the computer when you purchase 2 years ago) He rejected me several times.   It is possible that your project is too big or too complex for
  your system resources. Also... you are using source
  files that have problems of compatibility with Movie Maker...
  Mp3 music files and MPEG video files can be problematic.

  Now when I try to open it, files and order seem to be there but it does not show videos or audios and I don't change even the locations of them.

  Sounds like your project .mswmm files is corrupt.
  Maybe you're trying to make the project too complex
  with too many changes, transitions and effects.

  Next time you have a project open... try to publish in
  the DV - AVI format.

• Adobe first Pro CC 2015 cannot open my saved projects

  I've created several projects in Adobe first CC 2014 they ran a lot and everything was going well until I installed Adobe first CC 2015.

  I installed Adobe Premiere Pro CC 2015 and the projects I created in Adobe Premiere Pro CC 2014 will not open unless I have them repeat manually. After I repeat their manually I get them to work and when I save it, it clearly shows that I saved (I even tried Save AS with a different name).

  When I try to open these saved projects (recently saved) in Adobe Pro CC first 2015, this is the error message I get.

  "This project contained a sequence that could not be opened. No preview of the sequence only preset file or codec might be associated with this type of sequence".

  Otherwise, I plan to start all over again. I helped somehow, but to start again is a real pain and I feel I'm wasting valuable time. Yet, I have 4 projects that must go through the same process.

  The second problem is when I select an element of the sequence or the whole project on the timeline to return as a sequence (no export) it will start to make but the yellow line above the timeline changes to green, and it never gives me the meter to percentage of how rendering is done. He just started playing in real time from the beginning of the clip or sequence.

  Any help out there?

  For the second, you can mark in and out point on the timeline for the area that you want to display.

  Go to the Menu sequence > select rendered outside.

  This will help you make the yellow bars as well.

• Animated border cannot open the saved files

  All the files I saved in the folder of edge are not (grayed out) and I'm unable to open files or use in another program anything I worked on edge.

  What should I do to make sure that the files are highlighted with the symbol of the edge and are usable.

  Logged into the machine as an administrator?

  You should be able to right click on the .one file and choose Open with; then click Other Options and navigate to the folder C:\Program Files (x 86) \Adobe\Adobe edge animate CC and choose the EdgeAnimate.exe file.

• Cannot open the saved files recorded on CD - RW's with XP now using Windows 7

  Had to buy a new computer with Windows 7 64 bit.  I saved all my word documents on a CD - RW from my old computer before it completely crashed which uses Windows XP.  Now, I can't open with word files that are located on the CD. She said that I'm trying to read a disc in the Mt. Rainier format and I see this because my system does not support the CD - MRW format.  I tried to download the latest InCD EasyWrite Reader, but it still doesn't work. The Microsoft Web site did not have a sollution

• Cannot open Photoshop saved the RAW file in Photoshop...

  I got back from my school library, where I was using one of the scanners to scan my negatives. I scanned the files directly in photoshop CS3. In hindsight, I would have absolutely saved in tiff format, which has worked before, but this time I saved the files in raw. It is Photoshop raw, not Camera Raw. I assumed that I could open these files on my computer at home (Photoshop CS4), but apparently I was wrong. If I try to open raw files, I get a dialog box called "Photoshop Raw Options" and if I tap 'OK', it tells me something about missing color profiles, so I give myself a picture of grey noise. If I change the settings in the dialog box (the files have been saved to 16-bit grayscale with Mac byte order), I thought that "specified image is larger than the file", and I can't open the image.

  What is going on? Why I can't open in Photoshop files I just recorded in Photoshop? My past few hours have just been a total waste?

  Yes, well enough, unless you know the exact size and can correctly fill required dialogs required to open a "raw" Photoshop file. You've discovered that the 'raw' format isn't related at ALL to Camera Raw. It's really a support to the format in the early years, used at the time where there weren't some formats of files available on some computer systems... and Yes, you SHOULD have used TIFF.
