Cannot print June 2010 calendar of Palm Desktop

When I try to print the month of June 2010 the page numbering starts turning quickly as it rolls up to the printer.  I press cancel, as the page number seems never to end.  I also noticed the the print spooler, Windows displays the updated file pending is enormous.  Usually, my calendar file will be rolled up to less then 200K.  Whereas this file is greater than 34 MB.  The list option will print very well.  Also, I rebooted without success.  Is there a solution for this? I'm in Palm Desktop 6.2.2. Using a Palm Centro.

After resynchronization with Centro's all right now.

  • CatΘgories on Palm Desktop colors

There are no colors for categories on the Palm Desktop 6.2.2. My wife has 4.x.x on his laptop and the spectacle of color category to calendar events.

Is there something I'm missing that I can't see the colors of the category or this function has been eliminated to the point 6.2.2?

When I assign a color to the categories on the Palm Desktop 6.2.2 and synchronization with his Palm, colors appear very well on the Palm Z22 PDA that it owns.

If I sync it with his laptop, colors appear very well on categories calendar on Palm Desktop 4.x.x.

    What is happening with this?

    Thank you

    j

Access of the Japan (the company that the author of Palm Desktop 6.2.2) chose to eliminate several features that we knew as standard in 4.x.

Color categories is the one that has been eliminated.

If you do not use Vista or Win7, there is no need to use 6.2.2.

  • Export from Palm Desktop calendar to .dba archive

I have data for agenda 2003 to date on my Palm Desktop v6.2.  I would like to archive everything before 01/01/14 by exporting the data in an archive *.dba and then delete the data from Palm Desktop.  The export dialog says that I can choose to archive the items I selected, but does not say how to choose.  I want to select a range of dates - more precisely, 1/1/03-12/31/13.  Someone knows how to do this?

The Export of Palm Desktop feature, you cannot selectively archive a specific range of dates of the calendar events.  There is a function of the Purge, but he will serve only to items older than a month, not a selectable date.

One thing you could do, which requires a pocket computer, is to use an application of Pocket called Agenda 6 jointly with a freeware SD card backup utility called NVBackup for more security.  NVBackup lets you back up the entire database because there is at all times on the handheld and allows you to make backup sets so much data that your SD card will hold (max size 1 GB, regular SD card).  And agenda 6 allows you to delete data from calendar before the date.  Then...

    • Export your entire calendar on your desktop.  It would not be limited at all before 01/01/14, but it would preserve everything.
    • Buy and install DateBook 6 of www.pimlicosoftware.com (it is not freeware).
    • Download and install NVBackup.  Run NVBackup on the handheld to create a full backup on a SD card.
    • Then use Schedule 6 to remove the calendar data before 01/01/14.
    • Change the calendar (or calendar) led in Palm Desktop to handheld overrides Desktop.
    • HotSync the handheld to the desktop calendar data.  Palm Desktop calendar data should show then only events for 01/01/14 forwards, but historical data would have been preserved in the file exported as well as on the SD card and you can restore it at any time.

    I hope this helps.

  • Transferred to Palm Desktop for Palm Pre event calendar are incorrect

My old phone, a Center, has been synchronized using Palm Desktop 6.2.1 on Vista. I used the data migration tool, and all my data transferred to my Palm Pre. (Just directly Palm Desktop > Palm Pre).

The only problem is that a lot of my events are not on the correct days (ex: an event in Palm Desktop comes Sunday, now appears on my Palm Pre Monday).

I don't have the time to sort out again all my calendar events since this is the case of random events.

Other complaints that I have on the calendar, it's that the birthdays of my contacts do not appear as events, even those in Agenda facebook. In addition, it would be nice to be able to classify the events and color coding in the calendar.

For transfers of schedule of the Palm Desktop, upgrading your Palm Desktop version 6.2.2 (rather than just the 6.2 shown in the migration instructions) will prevent specific annual date all day events, such as birthdays and other events, to appear on the wrong day.

He let still one day of the week of the annual events, like Thanksgiving, the demand for each 1 month instead of every 12 months.  These must be set manually on the meadow.

  • Palm Desktop 4.2 - text color coded calendar entries are hidden for some colors

    Environment:

    Treo 680

Palm Desktop 4.2 running on Windows XP Pro

Color calendar entries were works very well since I have my phone for over a year.  When I added a new category of color (for my total of 7 categories) I noticed that some of my calendar entries showed the bar color-coded for the appointment, but the text for the entry was hidden.  Nor was I able to change the entry to the Palm Desktop Help, given that any attempt to select the entrance to the tent to create a new entry.

Thinking that I had exceeded a limit for the number of categories of colors that I deleted the new category (so the entries were now unclassified).  Now, all but one of my color categories are affected (bar colors for the appointment, but no visible text), including those marked with 'undefined' category

The only color that now shows the text for calendar entries is my category by default (not long).  This affects all my existing and brand new calendar entries, I create, regardless of if I create them on the Treo or Palm Desktop use.

If I press to scroll my appointments on the page, it selects only those for my default color category where the text of the entry is visible (i.e. He ignores all other appointments).

Calendar entries are visible on my Treo, fortunately.

I have not installed any new applications or updates.

I have not been able to find anyone else reporting this issue.

My next step will be to restore my backup from last week, but I was hoping to avoid that if possible, so any advice would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks in advance!

No worries. It will be under the main screen where you click Calendar. Not under a menu option. If you set it to all to view all of your appointments, no matter what category it is in.

  • Centro HotSync with Palm V6.2.2 hangs on the AGENDA - no record of calendar on the Palm Desktop

First of all, let me say that I hate the new version of Palm Desktop 6.2.2 and ongoing problems, I do a hotsync.  Today, I had to restart my computer I "uninstalled" an unrelated program on my computer.  When I rebooted my computer and open my Palm Desktop, all calendar data was gone.  Since my Centro has recently been hotsync d, I hung up and tried to synchronize.  The device and the desktop 'locked' in the CALENDAR function.  I found another post on the Forum where people from tech support says to 'download the trial version of Pimlico DbFixit' which I did and ran.  It indicates a problem too: DB-SNLT calendar: Both Description and Note are empty - usually a registry damaged.  REC = Date of 1508 = 11/01/09.  I also went in Palm Desktop and in the section 'Applications' found 'AGENDA' and the Nations United CHECKED.  Execution of hotsync again once allowed me to update everything EXCEPT the calendar.

HOW CAN I SOLVE THIS PROBLEM AND GET THE TIMING BACK ON MY DESKTOP?

I basically he fixed me after having used the trial version Dbfixit.  Your person to help chat told me to buy the product and then allow it to correct any errors in my data base.  It would have been a waste of money that the fix was easy once I knew what was wrong.

I've been a Palm user for many years.  I've recently updated to ATT Center.  I can't get the phone and the Palm Desktop to synchronize calendar or Contacts.  Palm Desktop called Date and address, but the phone calles this calendar and Contacts.  Posted on the log in process:

    • HotSync session started the 21-10-08 21:59:37 and completed in 8 seconds

    • Memo block synchronized successfully
      • Time: 0.3 seconds
    • Synchronized media successfully
      • Duration: 1.0 seconds
    • Backed up all files successfully to

But changes to the phone only shows not on the desktop and vice versa, one.  I do not have the EAS accounts.  I changed the lines on the HotSync Manager and the phone, I tried to sync with Palm Desktop and synchronization with Outlook (I HATE outlook, and it is not changed any information).  I did the soft reboots, and even hard reboot (lost most of my information), re - install Palm Desktop.  I looked at the other forum posts, but I don't see a solution.

Does anyone else have this type of problem.

I even tried to uninstall Palm Desktop 6.2.2 install Palm Desktop 4.1.e, which did not work, so I uninstalled 4.1.e and reinstalled 6.2.2 after moving to trash all Palm and synchronized.  Now, I'm even worse off.  There is no data in Palm Desktop.  I even synced with your handheld overrides desktop.  It does not even appear in the newspaper than the Contacts or the synchronized calendar.  I unchecked everything in addition to calendar and address book Hotsync.  He still does not synchronize points I need.

  • Cannot display log with Palm E2 and Palm Desktop 4.1.4.

I finally got the Palm Desktop 4.1.4, which works fine with Vista. I have a Palm Tungsten E2. When I sync, when he says that there were duplications, etc. and that I want to display the log HTM file, I click on view log and it appears impossible to view/find the page! Anyone know what is happening?

After sync-ing, I get a prompt indicating that a log file has been generated. When I click it, it opens a page in Firefox by saying, "Firefox cannot find the file to C:/Program Files/palmOne/Stephe/HotSyncLog.htm".

I posted this question before, and mysteriously, I started to get the log to open. (Palm_Lover was kind enough to offer to help me, but the newspapers started appearing, so I marked the thread as resolved. Yet once it happens, however, and I can't access the journal.

You are exactly right, hepoeta15, I opened the first folder that you suggested and there were the HotSyncLog and the info I needed!

Thank you very much. I mark this thread resolved.

I am very grateful for this driver!

  • Centro desktop doesn't install it to the previous thread palm desktop and cannot uninstall old version

    allow revo uninstall it.

I tried to plug just in the Centro but windows might find usb drivers
    (no doubt)

So I'm a little stuck. Help!

    It was the next step.

I just needed to know what was the operating system of the PC and the version of Palm desktop so I could tell you where to get the correct files.

Here is some info. For you.

Click on the following link to the support page for your device on the kb.palm.com Web page.
    http://www.Palm.com/us/support/Centro/centro_gsm/

There are links on the page the user Troubleshooting Guide, how to, downloads, etc.

The best way to protect your data is to export the data in each category of Palm Desktop in a separate folder on your PC.

Create a new folder on your PC somewhere that suits. Name it something like Palm Desktop data. Click on the link below and follow the instructions on this page for the export procedure.

    http://www.Palm.com/cgi-bin/cso_kbURL.cgi?id=28734

Make sure you only select everything for the beach in the export window.

With the data stored in the created folder, make a copy of this file and save it on a USB key, cd - rw or external hard drive.

Whenever you change in Palm Desktop, export the data that has been changed in this file and save again to external media.

With this process you can always import the data in Palm Desktop, whenever you have a problem with the data in Palm Desktop, or if your computer/hard drive/device crash.
