Cannot publish the movie on Windows Movie Maker

Hi guys,.

I hope you can help me.
I made a movie using Windows Movie Maker with video, photos, audio and added titles and transitions.
The film lasts about 20 minutes.
The size of the file is 1.31 MB
I use Windows Vista
All files are in the same place and no display of errors in movie maker
I tried to publish the movie to my external hard drive which had plenty of available memory. After a few hours he failed and returned the error message below.  I then tried to publish it on my desk, which also has a lot of available memory. After a few hours it is again failed. I tried the WMV format. I then tried AVI format on my desk and it has too much, again after many hours.
I get the error message is:
"The video file cannot be published to the specified location. Check that the publishing location is still available, that there is enough free space on the disk, and then republish the movie again. »
It took me a long time to collect the material, so I hope someone can help me out!
Much appreciated!

The error you receive usually indicates that your
the project is too complex for your system resources. Also
It is possible that one or more of the source files are not entirely
compatible with Movie Maker or are corrupted somehow.

  • have windows on Vista Developer, tried to install Windows DVD maker but doesn't seem to work, cannot publish the movie on DVD HELP

I have the windows Director, went to Microsoft and tried to download Windows DVD maker but does not appear to have installed despite me try it 3 times, all I want to do is publish a movie!

On Vista, Windows DVD Maker requires that you have Windows Vista Home Premium or Windows Vista Ultimate Edition.  If you have one of these versions, you should already have Windows DVD Maker and Windows Movie Maker 6.0.  These versions of Windows Vista are required to have copies under license from MPEG-2 to make a video DVD.

I was not aware of a separate installer for Windows DVD Maker, so I suspect you look at something of a 3rd site part. If it is a Microsoft site, can provide you the address you use?

  • Cannot publish the Windows Movie Maker project

I created the project video with Windows Movie Maker, but I can't publish on the computer, a dvd or as an attachment to e-mail.  The program continues to operate in the error "check the original source of file, a place edition available and available disk space and then try again."  How can I post in any of these formats?  What Miss me?

This error occurs when the project is too big or too complex for
system resources or it contains files sources (photos, video clips,
music clips) that are not compatible with Movie Maker or corrupted.

Several formats are apparently compatible with
Movie Maker, but the most reliable choices are:

Video - wmv or dv - avi
    Audio - wav, wma, wmv

  • Cannot publish a movie in Moviemaker

Downloaded my Sony Flip Ultra Hd video files and imported to create a movie in moviemaker. I have converted the MP4 to AVI files. I changed the videos then created my movie by adding titles and transitions. The film is long, consisting of about 100 clips and about 20 transitions with an overlay of music about 8 minutes. I can play the movie in movie maker but cannot publish it. When publishing to dvd stop with "unspecified error" at 17% of the encoding (I tried this 5 times with error that occur at the same point of encoding), published on cd or computer the message "windows movie maker cannot save the movie to the specified location. Verify that the original source files used in your movie are still available, that the backup location is still available, and that there is enough available disk space, and then try again"appears. The source files are available, as I can preview the whole film in moviemaker and he certainly has enough available disk space. This is very fustrating, could someone please advise how to solve this problem.

More likely, you have a compatibility problem with your source files...
(it is also possible that your project is too complex).

    See the following article:

    Movie Maker - problem solving-
    "Can't save a movie."

    Two things that can help:

    (1) Open Movie Maker and go... Tools / Options / Compatibility tab...
    and uncheck all filters.

    (2) convert MP4 files to WMV format before you import into Movie Maker.

  • Why my published video movie maker glitch and stops after about 40 seconds?

I tried to post this video countless times. It works fine in the preview, has no error message, all the source files have not been moved and have no red x, and the gel will be about to halfway through a segment of the video, then part of the segment plays, but not all of it.

I was converting my files using FormatFactory wmv source files.

    Any ideas?

If you use Vista Movie Maker 6... It can

When I try to open the Action Center, I receive this message. MMC cannot open the file C:\windows\system32\WF.msc

    Hello

Thanks for posting the question in the Microsoft Community forums.

According to the description, you get a message of error 'mmc cannot open the file C:\windows\system32\WF.msc' when you try to open the center of the Action.

We will perform the steps and check.

    Method 1:

Try to access the Windows Firewall configuration through the console Microsoft Management console.

    a. click on start
    b. type MMC (right-click and choose Run as administrator)
    c. click on file (in the upper right corner)
    d. click Add/Remove snap-in software component
    e. Select Windows Firewall with advanced settings, in Add Remove snap-ins windows
    f. click Add (clicking ok does not make any changes)
    d. click OK and you should be able to use the settings of the Console 1 window.

    Method 2:

If you are able to use the settings of the firewall through MMC, then scan your computer for corrupt system files.

Perform a SFC scan on your computer. Consult the following link:
