Cannot run 64-bit VM on 64-bit host.

I have a 54 bit OS (Windows 7) crowd, but am unable to run a 64-bit VM. Any suggestions?

Here are a few attached screens

You need a CPU of VT - x and the T4200 isn't.  For this purpose, you cannot run x 64 guests

    Hello

I had a new satellite L750-A010 with OS win7/64, but I can't run programs 32 versions such as Simatic manager V505, product of siemens. Pls advise how I can fix this problem.

    Thank you all.

    Hello

I m unaware software Siemens Simatic Manager V505. But perhaps this 32-bit applications needs a version of Win 7 32 bit.
In this case, you need to install a Win 7 32 bit system on your laptop.
But I recommend to ask support from Siemens for more information maybe there are a few patches, updates or similar solutions that don t require 32-bit system.

  • Cannot run 64-bit on HP 8100 CMT

I'm trying to run an operating system 64-bit Linux on VMWare Player (Linux host), but I keep warning against long mode not supported.

When I run the executable to check the compatibility of test it is said:

This host is capable of running a 64-bit comments under the present operating system
    VMware product.

But when I actually try and install the 64-bit Linux, it will fail with an error not supported.

I looked in the BIOS and you don't see any options to set the bit of VTx or anything else in the article.

    Any suggestions welcome!

    Welcome to the community,

Please double check if 'Virtualization technology (VT - x)' and 'Execute Disable Bit' parameters are available in the section 'Security' of the BIOS. If so make sure that both is 'enabled' and - after saving the BIOS settings - make sure that power you cycle the system (power power off)!

Hello and welcome to the forums.

Discover kb 1901 - it is more likely is the non-active VT.

  • Machines which can run 64-bit images?

I'm sure you've seen this question so many times in the forum alone so I'm sorry if I'm repeating old son.

Soon, my company will need to run 64 bit on their vmworkstation images 7 However, I understand that not all machines can run 64-bit images without worrying if they are 64-bit.  I have run the verification tool 64-bit on computers in my company and a list that may or may not run 64-bit images.

It turns out that we may have to replace some of our machines because they cannot run 64-bit (including my own) images.

My question is, what I look for when choosing new machines?  They say generally if it can run 64-bit images or not.

    Thanks in advance

    Marc

Any AMD 64-bit processor that you can buy at retail today can run the 64-bit clients.  Intel 64-bit processors also require VT - x.  See KB 1003945.

  • A 64-bit host running on a 32-bit o/s with 64-bit processor

    Hello

I want to run some 64 - bit O/S comments of in Workstation 6.5, but until now could not.  I got a message that it cannot run due to the fact, he is a guest of 64-bit and is not the host.  I'm running Vista 32 bit, but my CPU must support 64-bit.

I have an Acer Aspire 5738Z, which has a 2 GB Intel Core 2 Duo CPU, which I understand to be able to support 64-bit.

Is anyone able to help me please?

    Thank you

If you have found this or other useful information, please consider awarding points to 'Correct' or 'useful '.

Looking for the specifications of the Aspire 5738Z on the web, it seems to come with a processor T4200.  The T4200 does not support VT - x and therefore cannot run 64-bit guests.  See KB 1003945.

  • guest operating system 64 bit on 32-bit host computer.

I have an old laptop with processor Intel Dual Core T3200. I have Vista Home Premium 32 - Bit installed on it. I need to install Server 2003 64-bit as a guest on this laptop OS. My processor is now supported DOSENOT VT so I can't install 64-Bit guest operating system. But if I install a 64 bit OS on my laptop as host OS is going to be able to install and run 64-Bit guest operating system?

Thanks for the help in advance

change the host operating system will not help you.

You cannot run 64-bit comments when you have no support VT - the host operating system has no importance

  • Cannot run appliance virtual 64-bit on 64-bit capable of vmware server

    Kind regards

    I have VMware Server 2.0, running on a dell d630 latitue 32 - bit XP Pro on a windows-based

Intel T7100 with EM64T and VT enabled cpu. According to the processor verification tool

    given here,

my host is able to run 64-bit virtual

    machines.

However, when I try to start virtual appliance, he repeats:

Your CPU does not support long mode.

    Use a 32-bit distribution.

I received the DVD of installation of the unit and tried to create a new virtual machine based on 64-bit RHEL5 (i.e. which, in my view, that the device is from), I had the same problem. I attach a log file of one of these for your convenience.

Any help will be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

  • I've updated Windows 8.0 Windows 8.1, since Firefox run a bit oddly. In particular, when on the sites with lots of images like Facebook, etc.

Hello, I am writing because I have a few problems with my favorite browser after update to 8.1 Windows. Here are some details. I've updated Windows 8.0 Windows 8.1, since Firefox run a bit oddly. In particular, when on sites with lots of images like Facebook. It's as if there is some sort of effect of Flikr between the office and the images, as well as between the images and the browser (a bit like old flikering of 16-bit video games). It's not too bad, but it's a question. I tried to reset firefox and restart the computer. I have not tried a repair, and I haven't done an uninstall.

Hello, disable hardware acceleration in firefox should a restart of the application is taken into account. have you tried that too?

  • Re: Satellite T130 - can I run 32-bit Client VPN on Windows 64-bit?

Just got my T130 yesterday but unfortunately realized, it is a machine that is 64-bit and all my corporate apps like VPN Client 32-bit (like all our Office Tools). Is it possible to run 32-bit on this platop mode please... ?

    Thank you for your support.

    Hello

I agree with the user above. According to your VPN software it will maybe work on 64 bit OS because it s also able to handle 32-bit programs normally

In your case I would try to install the software and then you can give us feedback: how it works. It would be interesting, and I think for other users. :)

    Good luck!

  • 64-bit to run 32-bit? for a device driver

  • I have Windows Vista 64 processors w/a & able to run 32-bit & 64-bit programs. How can I go about installing of some 32-bit programs?

I have a Windows Vista Home Premium with a 64 processor. It is able to run 64-bit programs and 32-bit. It seems (wired) LOL, to run 64-bit programs. I understand that it saves space on the CPU?  I'm desperate to run the most recent version of Adobe Flash Player, but it will only work in 32-bit version of Windows Vista. Is it possible that I can get there?  I checked my system & under Internet Explorer 32-bit, the only programs are JAVA STANDARD VERSION 6, version 1.6.0. & Speech text... Is there anyway I can use my 32-bit version of Internet Explorer to run some programs that I can't run currently not using the 64-bit version of Internet Explorer?

    Hello

    1. what happens when you try to install 32-bit programs?
    2. you receive an error message?
3 are you facing this problem with any program in particular?
4 is that the problem is with addons like adobe flash player works only in Internet Explorer?

Most of the programs designed for the 32-bit version of Windows works on 64-bit Windows version. The notable exceptions are many antivirus programs. Device drivers designed for the 32-bit version of Windows do not work on computers running a 64-bit version of Windows. At the same time the programs designed for the 64 bit version of Windows will not work on the 32-bit version of Windows
  • How to solve (can't run 16-bit windows) Windows vista.thanks in advance

try to load a legacy program that requires Windows 3.1

    Hello

Windows Vista does not include a 16-bit subsystem. You will not be able to run 16-bit applications on Windows Vista directly.

You can check if the program works in Windows XP compatibility mode.

Make older programs in this version of Windows

If you use Windows Vista business, Windows Vista Enterprise or Windows Vista Edition integral, you can try to install Virtual PC and then you can install Windows XP on your virtual PC to run 16-bit applications.

You can download Virtual PC for Vista from the link below:
Download the full version of Microsoft Virtual PC 2007.

    Hope this information is useful.
