Cannot sync iPhone with iTunes

I recently dropped my iPhone and the touchscreen is completely to the point that it is completely unusable, but the TouchID and other parts of the phone are still working fine.  I recently got a new iPhone 6 s +, but have not backed up my old iPhone in a time long (Yes, my fault :/).  I went to plug my old iPhone so that I can save, but he says that the iPhone must be unlocked first.  Stupidly, I restarted the iPhone after it broke, so now it asks me to enter my 4-digit PIN code to unlock, rather than let me use the TouchID.

Is there a way I can unlock the old iPhone so that I can backup via iTunes and transfer the settings to my new iPhone?  Or I'm SOOL?

Thank you!

Sorry not a little too late now.  Nothing you can do to save your phone with a screen broken.

  • Cannot connect iphone with itunes

    Hello

I just bought a new Iphone s 6 pluss, but I can't connect with itunes on my Mac, whenever I plug the usb into my Mac, a window appears and tells me that itunes can't find my iphone because he wants a future verson of itunes. But I have the latest verson of Itunes (12.2.2.25). I tried to reinstall itunes several times and it still shows the same message. However, I can connect my old iphone (5 s) easy way to itunes on mac even. My mac is a macbook air 11 "2011 running on Mac OS X Lion 10.7.5 (11G63b)

Those who are familiar with the problem, or know how I can fix this?

    Thank you

You have the latest version of iTunes that can run OS X 10.7.  However, it is not the latest version of iTunes (12.3.2), which is required for the iOS interface 9.

The issue is that Lion has now more than four years.  You need to upgrade your OS X to launch iTunes 12.3.2.  You need at least OS X 10.8.5 (current is OS X 10.11.2).)

Install El Capitan (OS X 10.11):

Update of OS X El Capitan - Apple Support

Then go to the App Store and update all your applications.

  • sync iPhone with iTunes issue

I try to sync to my iPhone, but get the error message that it "cannot be synced because there is not enough free space to hold all of the selected items (262,1 required Mo, 489,3 Mo available)" is meaningless.  I tried to restart the phone, but that did not help.  I tried to throw a few apps, you wonder if that takes back us to a logical point.  Don't know what else to try.  iOS and iTunes both current versions.  Thanks to everyone who has a suggestion.

In general, about twice as much space which is presented as necessary should be free. 262.1 MB means how much space the content will take on your iPhone once synchronized, but during the synchronization process, additional space is required to store temporary files while iTunes moves items in place on your iPhone. Try to import photos and videos to your computer and then removing the copies on the phone in order to free more space. Or you could just remove some you need is more directly from your iPhone.

In the past, I had a portable base.1.  I was able to sync the iTunes app on my iphone6 with app iTunes on my laptop.  Since the upgrade to Windows 10 I was not able to synchronize. ITunes on my laptop does not recognize my iPhone, even if I am connected by USB. I have the latest version of iTunes on my laptop and the current device on my laptop driver.  Any suggestions?

Can you please provide the version number of iTunes?

You probably don't have the required version of Mac OS in order to upgrade to the latest version of iTunes.

  • How to sync iphone with itunes with XP

I have a 5 c of Iphone and windows xp. How to get the latest version of Itunes to sync with my phone?

You do not have. The latest version of iTunes requires Windows 7 or higher. Even Microsoft can't stand Windows XP. It's time to upgrade.

    Thanks in advance!

    Hello

  • cannot sync IPad and iPhone with iTunes:

When you try to synchronize the iPad and iPhone with iTunes I get the error message to go to iTunes.com to upgrade the software.  Done so many times:

    iTune 11.4; Mac: OS x 10.6.8; IPhone: iOS 9.2.1; iPad: iOS 9.2.1

What is the "fix" for the problem?  Thank you

The question is what iOS 9 requires a newer version of iTunes.  The latest version of iTunes is 12.3.2.  However, iTunes 12.3.X requires at least OS X 10.8.5 to install.  (Current is El Capitan OSX 10.11.3.)

So, in summary, you will need to upgrade your version of OS X Snow Leopard, which was released more than six years ago.

    I have a new iPhone running OS 9.2.1 6s.

Is set upward wireless at the Apple store, restored from my previous iPhone 5 and me kept updated iOS and phone saved wireless, and had not annexed it with iTunes on my Mac, until today.

I have the gasket with the USB cable into my iMac running the last El Capitan, iTunes 12.3.2

The iPhone has shown in the section "My devices" in iTunes, but I immediately got a message "there is a new version of iOS for the iPhone (9.2.1). iTunes started download iOS 9.2.1 but I stopped, because the phone has already 9.2.1.

I checked the preferences to allow the iPhone to sync wirelessly with iTunes, applied and then ejected from the iPhone.

    Greetings Dani56777,

Thank you for using communities Support from Apple!

I understand that you run Windows 10 and you must update iTunes to the latest version so that your iPhone will be recognized when connected. I do not know if you receive an error when you try to update iTunes or not.

If you need information on how to update iTunes, please follow the instructions in the following link.

Download the latest version of iTunes for Windows - Apple Support

If you receive an error or alert, you can consider removing iTunes and all of its associated components and then reinstalling fresh iTunes on your computer. That would give you the latest version of iTunes. If you need execute this process, please follow the steps described in the following article.

Remove iTunes Control Panel and its associated components

Use the control panel to uninstall iTunes and software components in the following order:

    1. iTunes
    2. Apple Software Update
    3. Apple Mobile Device Support
    4. Hello
    5. Apple Application Support 32-bit
    6. Apple Application Support 64-bit

On some systems, iTunes can install two versions of the Apple Application Support. What is expected. If both are present, do not forget to uninstall both versions.

Do these elements in a different order, uninstall or uninstall only some of them. This could have unintended effects. After you uninstall a component, you may be asked to restart your computer. Wait to restart your computer until you finish remove all components.

  • sync the iPhone with iTunes but even different ical and contacts

I would like to sync an iPhone to my mac, my wife and I share. Is it possible that I can connect on the same iTunes account to share our music, but keep our calendars, photos and contacts separate?  Currently, I have my own user account on the computer and I sync with iTunes, but it is not any music. If I put his music library in a shared folder that I have access on the two user accounts, can I delete everything on my phone to sync with the new iTunes library? I wouldn't delete all my apps and everything. Is there a better way to go about this? If it's important, we do not add music to our iTunes so it could be acceptable only for copying all music files once if it was the best way to ensure the rest of our things remain separated. Thanks for your help!

  • How to put music on iphone with itunes 7

    Hello

I recently bought an iphone 7. I restored it to backup my iphone 6. My music on the phone is gone and when I sync the unit, it has no option to select the music that I want to put on my phone. Not all of my music is bought from iTunes, so it won't be sitting in the cloud where I can listen to that in WIFI. It's really annoying. I don't have the ability to select what I want, the message that appears on the screen is this: iCloud music library is on. iPhone can access your music library from iCloud. Songs can be downloaded and read via WIFI or cellular network.

How can I fix it? I want my music on my iphone. H

    Hi natalia_s,

Thank you for your participation in the communities of Support from Apple.

Looks like you want to synchronize your iTunes music on your new iPhone Library 7. Let's see if we can get your music on your device.

First of all, try disabling icloud music library on your computer and the iPhone 7.

On your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch, go to settings > music and tap iCloud music library to turn it off.

    On your Mac or PC:

    1. Mac: In the MenuBar at the top of your computer screen, choose iTunes > Preferences.
Windows: In the MenuBar at the top of the iTunes window, choose the command Edition > Preferences.
    2. Select iCloud music library to turn it off.

After turning off the iCloud library music, you should be able to sync your iTunes library by following the steps described in the synchronization of your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch with iTunes on your computer via a USB port.

    Sincerely.
