Cannot use my Lexmark printer

My husband used my laptop and for some reason any failed to connect. We did not have a password to make it easier to open, but for some reason it has become locked. So he decided to use the restoration and re - install Windows 7, 'Without' back up my files. I know! I know!! So now when I tried to use my (6600 Lexmark all-in-one) connecting my cameras SD I get this message Microsoft Net Framework version 2.0 should be required to continue. Now I found the downloaded version and I still get the same message plu (I have to go to the section turn on, which I did and still does not work. Can anyone help. In addition, do not leave my husband alone with my computer? Thanks for listening, Cuquis Terrones

Restore points can be too much trouble that help, looks like you went back to a point before the printer and the software of the camera have been installed, so you must reinstall them. You can go to start, right click on computer, go into properties and then Device Manager to make sure that you have all your drivers installed.

  • I have a residential group put in place but apple of my wife air does not recognize and it cannot use the network printer

    How can I solve this problem?

    Only Windows 7 computers can join a homegroup.

    You need to set up a working group for non Windows machines using the network functions.

    And if you have a network printer suitable, then it should not matter what OS you have as long as it has drivers for this printer. I guess that you have a SHARED printer and not a network printer in your question?

  • My Lexmark printer stopped working and the error message says "printer cannot communicate with the computer" (from "twisted into the USB pins?).

    When my printer stopped working because of error messages about "printer cannot communicate with the computer" (from "twisted into the USB pins?), I tried to change to 2nd USB port without success. I tried a new cable; that did not help.

    Then I uninstalled and reinstalled my Lexmark printer and changed the error message. Now, the printer does not work because "the USB device is not recognized."

    I tried to update the chips; Use 1 USB port; and using the old cable, all this without success. I checked the connections of the cable to the printer and the PC and turn on the printer and goes off; I'm out of ideas. Any other suggestions?

    Help

    I just searched lexmark 4600 Windows7 64 problem and the solution in 2009/10 is cj4600Win7en64.exe downloaded from lexmark BUT I couldn't find it. Have you looked at the printer properties in Device Manager and tried looking for an updated driver?

In the window that opens 1) read the text re filled and checked 2 boxes) at the entrance to .net and click sur-pour develop it can be helpful to turn on WCF. I know nothing else to facilitate the 'communications' and you have a multifunction printer.

    just got a new modem att wireless, now my phone cannot connect to the printer as it used to...

    If AT & T has provided the modem, you can give them a call and explain the problem you are having. They should be able to help you. If you did not have all that in place, then it would be a little difficult to explain what you need to do... but... basically you would need to connect the modem and check the settings there and make sure your printer match the parameters.

  • guest computer must have access to the printer host cannot use

    I have a new Mac, an old Mac, an old Windows machine and printer of Xante AW1200.

    Almost all of my work is done on the new Mac.  I get the old machine Mac or Windows of the drawer on rare occasions, or when I need to print something, because the new Mac cannot use the printer.  (Xante never taken the trouble to develop an OS X 10.6.4 driver for this printer.)

    I would like to get rid of the Windows machine.  I have it successfully migrated to a machine of comments on the new Mac, using vmware Fusion 3.1.3 but I have not found a way to get the computer to see the printer.

    This isn't a complete surprise, as Xante does not provide a driver for their (former) printer and (my new host) operating system OS X 10.6.4 - but they were planning a WIndows XP driver that has always worked well on the Windows machine, connected by the RS232 port.

    The printer also works very well on my old Mac, connected via ethernet.

    Can I connect the printer to the new Mac's ethernet port.  Of course, the Mac cannot work with it.  But could the guest computer use Windows sound driver to manage the printer?

    None of the four standard ways of printing seem applicable: ThinPrint because the host cannot use the printer.  USB because the printer is not a USB connector.  network / wireless because I do not have my old Mac running all the time.  Hello because I think that it requires that the host can see the printer.

    It certainly isn't a frequently asked Question.  Sorry, my situation is so unusual.  But the printer is special enough for the work that I do.  Any tips?

    Thank you.

    If you have a router on your site then you should be able to connect the printer to the router, configure it as needed, and then accessing it in the comments as a network printer.  Note: The guest network should be configured as connected by a bridge to access in this way.

    Another option of network which is doable, but a little more difficult to set up, is to fix the printer directly on the Mac with a standard CAT5 Ethernet cable, not a Crossover as suggested in the Ethernet Port of Mac being automatic detection User Guide.  You would then manually configure the IP address, etc. on the printer and network bridged on the comments and even if Bridged his only access to the printer on this network adapter.  Then use a second network in the guest configured as NAT, if you do not also use Bridged on that, to enable the client to have access to other resources on the physical LAN to the host, such as Internet access, etc..

  • Why my Vista operating system will not support a lexmark Printer series s600?

    I spent the last two hours trying to set up my 'Wireless' Lexmark S605 so I can print from my laptop 32 bit Windows Vista. I followed the instructions given in the installation process and used the installation cd, but was still unable to print from my laptop. Then, I downloaded the software and complete drivers (which was the last updated February 2013) from the manufacturer's website. The first error message that I got was one of the pilots be found / had failed to install. The second error message I got was:

    "Your operating system cannot support a lexmark s600 series printer. Installation cannot continue. »

  • How to clean my printhead on my Lexmark printer

    Put a new (black) ink cartridge in my Lexmark printer and it says I need a deep cleaning of the print head.
    My color ink cartridges are also very low. Can I just use black?

    Hello

    You can follow the procedure if you are comfortable to clean the Lexmark printer head.

    (a) insert a blank sheet of paper in the printer Lexmark using the paper tray and start the head cleaning process.

    (b) launching the 'Start' menu on your Windows computer. Show additional options, scroll through the list.

    (c) select the "All programs" link to access additional settings for your computer system. Choose the Lexmark folder that contains several features specifically for your printer. On some printer models, the software includes a "Center of Solution Lexmark" application that can be used to take through the troubleshooting steps.

    (d) click the "Maintenance" tab to access the settings of cleaning your printer. In few seconds you will be presented with a choice to print a test page. Select the option 'Print' and wait for the page at the end of printing for you. The ink cartridge automatically push the ink into the printer head and clean at the same time.

    (e) discovers the printed page to see if the colors and the quality is satisfactory. As soon as your printed page, you'll know immediately if your print head was totally clean and work properly.

    To get help on the issue, you can also contact Lexmark support.

  • Installer of Lexmark printer drivers saved in a folder "c:\Program Files \" (with a space at the end of this one!)

    I have a real problem.

    On my Windows 7 Professional machine somehow is an automatic update of installed Lexmark printer drivers and the installation program saved files
    in a folder names "c:\Program Files \" (with a space at the end of this one!)

    This all happened the day after without seeing me what was going on.

    It seems that the Windows 7 system does not like the folder or file names ending in a 'space' or a 'period' and it will not work with it.

    The side effect is that in some sort the system has copied EACH name on this new folder called sub0folder "C:\Program Files-" and I ended up with TWO files that have the air of the same name (even if we have a space at the edn of it ".

    It isn't really a problem in what I could simply ignore it (the other folder names corrrectly operates always OK). The only problem is that changes to 'Security' affect the TWO files because Windows 7 sees the two folder as the 'same' names when setting security.

    That's why, when I tried to mark the 'bogus' as 'not available' folder to everyone (including the system) it is the same for 'Program Files' (the real one) with disastrous consequences. I had the chance to get out and restore some semb; launched sound mind to my machine.

    But I'm stuck now with this annoying issue with many sub-fdolers (which are all unaccessable because the system cannot locate).

    My question is, how to remove a file that has a 'space' as the last part of his name when Windows Explorer cannot work with it?

    Thanks a lot with no matter what helpf with this very unusual problem.

    If you have the opportunity to make a complete picture of the system of the disc, I would before you try the following... just in case remove the "bad" folder ends up deleting all good also.  Alternatively, rather than remove the directory in the last step below, rename it using a command like

    ren c:\PROGRA~3 c:\badprogs {press Enter}

    If program of the 'real' the files and other directories survive unscathed, and then delete the C:\badprogs in the usual way.

    ******************************************

    In the search box, type cmd, then right click on cmd.exe and select "Run as Administrator".  Give the password when you are prompted.

    Type

    CD c:\  {Press Enter}

    to switch to the root

    Now type

    dir /x {press Enter}

    This will show you a list of directories of names "short form".  You will probably see something like this (from a x 64 Win 7 installation, is why there "Progra ~ 1" and "Progra ~ 2" directories ")

    Directory of c:\

    01/08/2012 13:19

    PROGRA ~ 1 Program Files
    30/07/2012 13:03 PROGRA ~ 2 Program Files (x 86)
    03/07/2012 10:46 users
    30/07/2012 20:16 Windows

    In your case, your directory parasite called or PROGRA ~ 3 (if you have x 64) or PROGRA ~ 2 (if you have Windows 7 32 bit).

    Now that you know the name short, which allows to delete:

    del C:\progra~3 {press Enter}
